Sheraton is in desperate need of a complete remodel from top to bottom. It’s not worth your money and not updated to a reasonable degree. I stayed in the tower which is a hike from the lobby and the entire floor smelled odd and my room did just as much. Kind of old, kind of wet, kind of a foreign smell that just doesn’t translate into comfort. I immediately notified the staff and they said they sent up an ionizer to deal with it. I come back an hour later and it’s literally the same. Decor is astoundingly ugly. I’m amazed the brand has let it go on this long. Wood furniture with chips in it, outdated styles and random pieces stuck in the room that just don’t match or make sense. An outdated, smelly ac unit in the room also adds to the horrid decor style. Bedding cover is dated. The tower also has a “The Shining” creepy aspect to its hallways. I tried to get out of my second night stay so I could go somewhere worth my money (I was being charged over $550 a night), but the hotel demanded their fee if I tried to leave for a better quality stay. The hotel also seems to be fully aware they’re jipping their guests. They charge you a hefty amount when they know it’s not worth near that much and try to pay you off with money to spend in restaurants. Three separate people offered me money for their restaurants, yet that doesn’t fix the crucial issues this place has. A few tips- refuse to stay in the tower. After speaking with staff, they said the main hub is more updated than what I suffered through; bring a ton of air deodorizers or something( I found some lavender oil in my bag and put it under my nose to disguise the smell); wear flip flops everywhere (brown old carpets, really?) This hotel was incredibly disappointing. Even if it’s an old building, that’s no excuse for a multi billion dollar company to forego an absolutely necessary overhaul.

This extremely outdated hotel is inappropriate for business travel. The roll out desk does not have any outlets for computer or phone, iPad. Bathroom so small you cannot stand between door and toilet and close the door. Carpet warn and dirty. Mold in shower. Getting to Tower rooms takes two elevators. I am Titanium Bonvoy and have the experience to evaluate.

Considering the price of this hotel per night, I feel that they should update the rooms... My room was visible worn, and the toilet didn't work - it was constantly running and I would have to jiggle it. In terms of day to day necessities... there was no full-length mirror. The hotel didn't have plug converters for foreign travellers and the tv was not a smart tv. Lastly, the curtains were not full blackout curtains, they allowed A LOT of light... I was expecting at least the same standards as the Marriott (as they are not in the same group), but the Sheraton definitely needs to catch up.

As seems to be more the case these days with United Airlines than ever, our connecting flight to Houston was cancelled for dubious reasons, and we had to overnight in Denver. The airport Westin was charging an exhorbitant rate, so we decided to stay in Downtown. The best Marriott site rate I found was at the Downtown Sheraton, and I'm glad we chose it. For 1/4 what the Airport Westin was charging for a basic room, we had a comfortable, expansive room with huge windows overlooking the city. Our greeting from Nigel at the front desk could not have been more welcoming, and he was more than happy to allow us to keep our room until 4 pm the next day. My Bonvoy status allowed us access to the Elite Lounge, and there, we enjoyed a tasty, hot breakfast the next morning. At departure, Bradley at the front desk made us feel like the hotel valued our stay and hoped for our return. The hotel is enormous and near the Convention Center, and it is conveniently on the 16th Street Mall and its free bus transit. Add on the wonderful rail link to Denver Airport from Union Station, and you have a hotel we'll definitely return to on future pleasure and business visits to Denver.

We just completed our stay here. We were on the 17th floor. The room was really small and we had to order a replacement mini fridge as ours was not working in our room. I did tell the attendant at check in that it was our 20th wedding anniversary and our friends got a much nicer larger room with better views. Granted, July 5th was her birthday so I was still glad for them. I had noted our anniversary online but it made no difference. When we arrived the bellman would not let us unload our luggage before taking our Harley’s to the underground parking. I noticed cars were allowed to unload. It was a 100 degree day and it is dangerous to idle a Harley in high heat. One of the motorcycles clutch fluid overheated because of this which put the bike completely out of commission causing one couple to have to ride together while waiting for dealer repairs and causing extra expense. Also the underground parking had really high traffic slowing bumps which are not Harley friendly especially when loaded down with luggage. That’s why being allowed to unload before parking the bikes would have been very helpful. I did like the location of this hotel. It’s walking distance from the firework show which was terrific. There are bars and restaurants all within walking distance and the free city bus transportation is right outside. Better customer service for bikers would be much appreciated along with additional training for the bellman upfront.
