Very beautiful hotel. As soon as I entered the lobby, I was impressed with the decor. It used to be a bank so it has some cool features remaining like the vault doors still in place in the lobby. The bar is even called the “Teller”. I was greeted immediately and the check in process was very efficient. During covid, there are limited amenities so no housekeeping unless requested, no concierge lounge, restaurant closed. They did provide $10 food and beverage vouchers for each night. Nonetheless my stay was great. I was upgraded to a larger room with a sofa and two big screen TVs. Bed was super comfy, large desk area and very spacious and well lit bathroom. They have self parking in a garage right next to the hotel. Unfortunately it wasn’t attached but it wasn’t necessarily inconvenient either. They provide a parking pass so you can go in and out. Location was great right off of the 16th street mall so tons of restaurants and stores. Even walkable to a CVS, Walgreens and little bit further but still walkable to a Target.

We have been staying at Marriott Hotels pretty much since 2006, exclusively except for a few stays. We have the Marriott credit card and unless something we buy is cash only, it goes on the card. I have never written a bad review about any Marriott hotel. Until now! The Hotel is beautiful, no argument about that. We parked our own car and it cost $25 for the night. Cleanliness? No problem there, all of our problems were in our room. The tall floor lamp had something in it, clearly visible when the light turned on, I can only hope it was a rag dropped inside the lamp while cleaning. I finally had to switch the plug into the other outlet to get the light to turn on, and then it was dim. There were table lamps on both sides of the bed, they did not work. A clock radio whose digits on the clock did not totally light up so you could not read what time it was, and the antenna for the radio did not reach any stations, until the next morning. I sleep with a radio on to music and started plugging my iphone in and charge it and play music quietly next to my bed; impossible as the only USB to use was not next to my bed; they were across the room! and they were the only ones that worked! There were two TV's on the wall within a few feet of each other, getting them both to turn off or on was a challenge, it was either neither, or both! I am not a tall person and reaching for the TP was another challenge. We were in a room with a king size bed with only one guest robe. Only two bath towels and they did not match; more towels would have been nice, just one set. I hate writing this kind of review; but if management is aware of the multitude of issues, hopefully in this room only (room 544) then perhaps some measures should be taken. The night of our stay was Saturday, April 10, 2021.

This is a 5 star hotel. Spotless, nice and upscale decoration. Fantastic beds and super clean. Location=Perfection. Walking distance 3-5 minutes walk to nice restaurants. The 2 queen bed room has a small living room with another Big Screen TV. My kids loved it. Don’t think about it, this is a great option.

Fairly easy to find on the corner of 17th and Champa. There's a valet parking garage next to the hotel on Champa (for a fee). That being said, the hotel was lovely. We had a king-size bed and lots of space in the room. The shower was large as was the fridge. The view of downtown was wonderful. We were walking distance from anywhere we wanted to go in town. It's especially nice in the evening because we could walk to Skyline Park. It's all lit up, people are milling, busses are quiet, and it's just gorgeous. So stay here if you want to be in the center of things and not mind eating out for every meal since there are no microwaves.

Having stayed at about a dozen different hotels in downtown, I returned to the Renaissance as a favorite. The location is great, always clean, quiet and comfortable beds. The rooms are larger than many of the standard hotel rooms in downtown, which can feel like a shoebox.
