Was really looking forward to staying at this hotel. Walked in the door to an intense incense type smell. It saturated the entire building. Should have left immediately. My bad. Tried to gut it out and spent the night. Beautiful hotel, excellent staff. Had a good breakfast and service. Next morning, went to gym, working out and here comes the staff spraying the chemical based perfume. Left and went to room more staff in hall and elevator spraying the smell. Went to breakfast, there's the smell. Left breakfast, incense crap burning in lobby. It's was everywhere. Went to room, called and checked out a day early. Walked to another property down the street with no smells. I get a hotel thinking a small fragrance helps. But this over the top approach is going to get people sick and eventually you will put a guest in the hospital. It's bad, it's not good for our health. If you have allergies, save yourself the discomfort and stay somewhere else.

We thought the look of this hotel was amazing. Re-purposing a bank is always a beautiful way to keep some history for people to see. Steven, at the check-in desk, was amazing. Made us feel really welcome and at ease and was super friendly, knowledgeable and patient. We really felt welcomed and I appreciated that after a bit of a rough flight. Our room was pretty standard, with some wear and tear but ultimately clean and spacious. We liked the toiletries and the sheer amount of outlets/USB plugs. The room was pretty quiet too and we slept so great. We could hear there were other people around but it wasn't so loud that I thought I might go crazy, like in other hotels, When I came down to ask for a late check-out, I couldn't get anything more than my standard 2pm or there would be a charge but I was ok with that. This was the FIRST time they re-keyed my keys then and there and I wasn't locked out of my room in a hotel on my check-out day in the many, many years I've been travelling. The staff here is really on point and I appreciate it, The only drawbacks were the always locked doors and the homeless people sleeping outside. We were kind of threatened by one but I think his bark was louder than his bite and I can handle myself so it wasn't too much of a problem.

We absolutely loved staying here. An amazing lobby that was once a bank lobby. How they incorporated the bank vaults and public areas that were part of the original bank was amazing. Great rooms, and equally good service. Can’t wait to return

We stayed with our pet for 3 nights. Great room in our own little hallway right behind the front desk on the first floor. No noise issues at all. We valet parked our car and due to it being over-height they kept it right by the front door and watched over it. The hotel is located in the old Colorado National Bank building which is stunning. Great toiletries: Aveda Rosemary & Mint. We had a drink one night in the lobby bar which is super cool. The hotel is in a great location for downtown sightseeing. It is located near the 16th Street Mall which is very convenient but also populated by the unhomed. Denver has some work to do there. Would highly recommend this location.

I'm Joaquim, staying here at the renaissance denver downtown for 4 nights 12/30/2021 to 01/03/2022, I spent New Year's Eve here, today 01/02/2022 I bought two more nights, extending my stay until 01/06/2022 , I went to reception to confirm the new reservation and ask them to update the room key, it would work unbelievably andy said that he would not renew the key, that I would have to return the next day to checkout and check-in again, even though I was staying inside the hotel. for 4 nights, in a 5 star hotel, I was VERY BADLY TREATED at the RENAISSANCE DENVER DOWNTOWN by the employee ANDY who claims to be a supervisor, in addition to not having any good will with the guests, is highly rude and rude when I asked to speak with manager said that she was the one who solved it and that there was no one above her, it is unbelievable for a brand like Renaissance/Marriott to have such a rude and unprepared employee, while what is normal for a 5 star hotel is to provide a differentiated experience with maximum ge Kindness and cordiality, this ANDY, in addition to not having any conditions of treatment, much less the ability to handle any management crisis, however small, uses an authoritative tone of voice with the guests, a pity an important brand to treat the guest with neglect , I'm a frequent customer of Marriott hotels with tens or hundreds of stays, so I've never been treated so badly, as I was by this Renaissance Denver Downtown employee, Andy. I suggest that Marriott look after their brands and seek employees/supervisors with more skill, friendliness and education that the brand and guests deserve. Unfortunate Joaquim

We apologize for the inconvenience. It is necessary to have your keys recoded at the Front Desk in order to activate an extended reservation on the day of the new reservations arrival.

I stayed here for a business meeting for two nights. In checking in I was recognized for my gold status and the front desk was very hospitable. For my status I was allowed either complimentary breakfast or free coffee from the coffee shop. Upon checking into my room I was very pleased with how clean and comfortable the room was. The bed was very cozy and I got a great nights rest. Our meetings were held on property. The staff did a great job with catering our F&B. Overall, great place to stay that’s an easy walk from the train station. I will be back!

The location is convenient. Access to 16st mall, drugstores, freeways, etc, but room 805 is a nightmare. This is night 2 of our stay. I’m a pretty good sleeper so for me to be unable to sleep after days of outdoor activities is a shocker. My husband and i have not been able to sleep in room 805 due to some machinery humming the ENTIRE night. If i do a google aerial view and find a heavy equipment above what we believe to be 805, i will continue to write Marriot. Either fix the noise or don’t make it available. Not letting my husband pick our lodging!!!

Check in was a nightmare - girl at the front desk tried to tell us that we were there on the wrong day (we were not, I had the confirmation) then acted like they were "accommodating" us by allowing us to check in a "day early". Slow process, I asked the girl checking us in if she needed to see my confirmation and rudely and abruptly said "I said I figured it it". It took over 20 minutes to get checked in. Then she told us it was her 2nd day, when I asked her if she was having a bad day! - - she needs some SERIOUS training. No customer service at all, she never even made eye contact with us. Never mentioned that I was a gold member and put us in a room overlooking another highrise - so much for gold upgrade. Room was so small my husband and I could not even pass each other in the room. There are too many choices in the downtown area don't waste your time and money at this property. Then my profile says "no feather pillows, high floor and extra towels - none of these requests were me. To the GM - you need to train your front desk staff.
