Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The Hyatt Regency Denver At Colorado Convention Center comes highly recommended for its prime location, with guests often lauding the proximity to downtown attractions. The hotel's cleanliness receives compliments, extending from the spotless rooms to the well-maintained common areas. While the modern lobby adds to the welcoming atmosphere, some travelers feel the rooms could benefit from an update and improved soundproofing. Although the service is generally celebrated for its friendliness and efficiency, the cost of parking and other amenities tends to be a point of contention among visitors.

The staff at this hotel is always very professional and welcoming! The location can’t be beat; it is just across the street from the main entrance of the Convention Center, and is very close to the Denver Performing Arts Center. Many awesome restaurants are within very close walking distance. Even being in the heart of the city, I always feel very safe & comfortable while staying in this fantastic hotel.

Stayed Tues through Fri. Check-in was a breeze, and the kind gentleman at the front desk upgraded us to a mountain view king bed room on a high floor. We had a couple awesome nights' sleep, and it was overall a very comfortable stay. Two major nits. 1) Parking: $40-something a night for self parking is steep, but on par with other hotel parking rates in the area. Instead, we pre-booked at the Tremont Garage two blocks away for $20/night with unlimited in/out. The Tremont was super clean, and it was a very easy, contactless experience where we scanned a QR code to get in/out. 2) Noise for any mountain view room facing Le Meridien across the street. The rooftop bar at Le Meridien could be heard bumpin' till midnight on our last night, Thurs. Even with ear plugs, we could hear the music. I don't think there's anything within the Hyatt Regency's control here, but if you're a light sleeper or have kiddos, may want to stay away from any room within earshot of that particular neighboring establishment. Overall, a nice stay!

I just stayed for 5 nights for a convention next door. It is less than a 5 min walk from the front door of the hotel to the center. It would be closer, but the "side doors" to the hotel are closed right now. The lobby bar is nice, and the food for breakfast there is good. They are doing a good job of stocking up the room with towels and toiletries so you don't have to worry about it too much. The rooms are starting to look older, "tub" shower, older tile etc. The beds were comfortable enough to sleep on. The A/C was a little wonky it pushes out the air, but just down the side of the room, so it is warmer by the beds and colder sitting at the desk. I would stay here again, but it is expensive for what you get. I did get some Fedex packages delivered here and sent out, it was a $50 charge from the hotel to send two boxes out and then $15 to received one. Probably more than I spend to ship the packages. There is a Fedex store but it has limited hours.

When paying the very high rates they charge, one expects at least the basic things to be taken care of. Like the toiletries and such. But no. On the second day of my stay, I realized that the tiny bottle of body wash in the bathroom was not replaced. Fine, no big deal, although that's unpleasant, there was still enough left. But then, on the third day, they took away what was left in the tiny body wash bottle from the first day -- because, I guess, their guests don't need to wash after paying through the nose for their rooms. Of course, when I noticed that in the morning of my last day there, it was too late to call anyone. Very unpleasant to learn that such supposedly fancy hotels couldn't care less about the very basics of hotel stay. Will avoid this hotel now, and probably the whole chain as well.

Hello Alex, Thank you for choosing the Hyatt Regency during your recent trip to Denver. Please allow me to apologize for the issues during your stay. I definitely agree that mistakes like this should not be made and it is clearly an area of improvement for our housekeeping staff. I will be sure to address this with our team so this can be avoided in the future. I hope that this one mishap would not keep you from giving us or Hyatt in general another chance. We would be grateful for another opportunity to show you this was an isolated occurrence.

We had an overall good experience, however, had some hiccups on the way and that’s why I assigned a 4 and not a 5. We stayed for 5 nights for my nephew’s wedding which took place here.
The good: The little restaurant on site had very nice breakfast…. And an excellent service every worker in there was awesome ….. we were a Big party and they were very efficient and professional……This hotel has a spectacular! Wedding venue on the 38th floor in the building across the driveway which I guess is also part of the hotel. The event went smoothly and food delicious. Views on the ceremony space and banquet hall were spectacular!!! The installations are nice and modern and overall the staff was nice and accommodating and the room nicely equipped, comfortable beds and pillows and clean upon arrival… and here is where the hiccup came.
After our 2nd night… with obviously the trash cans getting full and no clean towels I called and requested for the room to be cleaned as we were leaving for the day and not returning until late at night. They told me they only clean every 3 days and that I wasn’t schedule for cleaning that day. I told them I understand but I insist.. there are 2 kids and 2 adults here we need clean towels and out trash is getting full. The lady on the phone tells me sorry but we are doing this in order to keep social distance …. Take the dirty linen and place it outside your door……so I was puzzled specially about social distancing… so I asked her…. and from whom would you be socially distancing from ? The room will be empty!… you do know droplets don’t stay suspended on the air so there’s no risk to get potentially exposed to anything ….so in the end I took the linen and garbage can outside and called it a day. We have traveled very often during COVID and even when they clean every 3 days If you have a special request to clean your room sooner it can be accommodated, and even when the room is not cleaned towels and garbage are changed daily.
Hyatt should definitely do some research and understand that with an empty room there’s obviously social distance in place, that answer was ridiculous…
I was very annoyed and I guess the person I spoke to sensed it… upon returning found that our room had been cleaned…in the end…why did we have to get into the argument and why did I have to get upset and tell you off in order to get a simple service that could have been accommodated since I requested it…. Room was not cleaned again during our stay ….,So I have a bit of a problem with limited cleaning policies as I like having the room clean more often than every 3 days….I continued to place towels and garbage outside daily. So except for that everything else was ok. Note the water in the room will cost you $5 a bottle… so the downstairs market has cheaper water or just buy it outside and place it on the fridge.

This hotel has a high opinion of itself. You can tell by the granite, marble and metal throughout the facility. They charged $200 a night for very basic accommodations that barely passed the socks test. (As in this place is just clean enough to walk around in bare feet for short periods of time.) The bedding seemed freshly laundered, but who among us can say for certain? The maids selectively restocked the amenities, which meant I didn't have any caffeinated coffee on day 2.
The restaurant/bar downstairs was the best part of the whole place. Beautiful delicious food served by the most wonderful people. Great staff at the "Former Saint".
BE CAREFUL if you're a business traveler and use a company card! They'll charge your entire stay on the physical credit card you have available at check-in. Even if the reservation was made with a different card online.

I'm very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us! I apologize that you found the cleanliness of your guest room to be lacking and that the amenities in your room were not fully restocked each day. I assure you that this is certainly not up to our standards at the Hyatt Regency Denver and I will make sure that this is addressed with our Housekeeping team! I am happy to see that you enjoyed your time at Former Saint! In regards your concerns with your credit card, if your reservation is not pre-paid prior to arrival, we do authorize the physical credit card that you present at check-in for room, tax, and a hold for incidentals to ensure that you have the funds available to pay for your room. We have strict standards at Hyatt to prevent credit card fraud and, for that reason, we only use the credit card on file if you have it physically with you and a matching picture ID or a credit card authorization form has been submitted prior to arrival. I apologize if this inconvenienced you but I hope this information will be useful in the future!

Charged for things not consumed. No amenities whatsoever in the rooms unless you want bottled water. If you bring your own water do not throw empty bottles in the trash you will be charged for the water. Guests that were loud, contact high in the hall was overwhelming.

I didn’t feel cared for. There were stains and old blood on our sheets when we arrived. We called to get them changed and they asked did we want to do it ourselves! Then they downplayed the blood stains when I talked to the manager Ozuky Pitcher. She informed me that there weee over 1100 rooms and “this happens”. She lied and told me she would have the housekeeping manager call me! No one ever did! The shower was disgusting and had caked up dirt on the walls! I took Lysol and a white towel and sprayed and wiped down surfaces and the towel was brown when I was done. This was absolutely disgusting and unsanitary especially during COVID! And no one even cared! For $1100 this is ridiculous and I will tell anyone that asks not to stay here because noone cares about their health or the cleanliness of their room or even takes it serious! Very disappointing!

Also we were asked whether or not we had valet 3+ times even upon check out! No one believed me and we had to keep talking to the manager RIDICULOUS!!!

To top it all off they need check their pool and hot top area 1. Because the pool was discussing and had a film over the water and 2. People smoke weed up there! I don’t care about the weed but it clearly says no smoking!

Lovely stay with my son and his family in this downtown Denver hotel. The lobby is spacious and bright with interesting art, a bar, and some dining options. The restaurant was not open when we were there, so we took advantage of some of the great eateries within walking distance of the hotel. The beds were comfy, the bathroom sparkling clean enough that I felt comfortable letting my little granddaughter have a nice long splashy bath. We will stay again when we visit family in Denver!

Recently stayed there for one night on our honeymoon and I would go back again in a heartbeat! The front desk agent Sultan was so nice and made us feel at home, she also gave us a room upgrade and had excellent recommendations on the area!
Our room was beautiful and had an amazing view of downtown! The hotel was so close to everything, so it was nice to walk to the nearby stores and look at the Christmas lights. Additionally, the valet was kind and had great mini day trip recommendations.
The hotel was spotless, and we felt safe staying there! I highly recommend staying here not only for their amazing customer service and location, but also all the care the staff takes to make everyone feel safe. Parking is expensive but it is in a safe garage right downtown, personally from staying at other hotels downtown $42 dollars for parking is in the right range from personal experience. Also if you book directly through the hotel you do get a slight discount on parking if you include it with your reservation.
