Detailed Reviews
We chose this hotel for value, style, and location as we wanted to be near The Fillmore to see Mayor Pete Buttigieg speak, and the after party at Cap City Tavern, and were not disappointed. Less expensive than the big hotels right downtown, it is still walking distance to many attractions, the Art Museum, convention center, 16th Street Mall, Denver Mint and Capitol. The room was oversize with a kitchenette, large windows for natural light, with a nice size bathroom and great shower.
Breakfast selections were a little sketchy but we got down there late and weren't counting on much as most breakfast included hotels don't offer much.

Reported a problem with lighting the night we checked in. Never resolved in 3 night stay.
The cleaning staff start early, knocking on doors at 8:00AM, their playlist seeping through the thin walls, chattering, opening/closing doors, vacuum humming, wander down to a flavorless breakfast plate or single serving processed serving size selection, ie Buffet.
Plus— the bed was comfortable, just wish the room was 1) maintained, and 2) reflected guest’s right to use it for the purpose of sleeping!

The front desk staff were very friendly and made checking in and out easy. My wife and I stayed in a studio room with a king bed. It included a microwave, toaster, refrigerator, filtered water faucet, cups, plates, flatware, coffee maker with packets of regular and decaf coffee). The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The glass shower was a nice touch; it had body wash and shampoo dispensers (no shelf for anything customers bring with them. I was able to put personal shampoo between the hotel items). One drawback is the the bathroom light is on a timer; if used late at night the bright light comes on immediately and can awaken a bed partner. The front desk said they can temporarily deactivate the sensor, but it will revert to normal function after a certain amount of time. It wasn't a problem for us. Every morning a cook prepared an egg dish to order (alternating days of scrambled eggs with chicken sausage, or omelets and sausage). Other breakfast items: toast, yogurt, pastries, muffins, fruit, dry cereals and coffees. The food was satisfactory. Parking: There is a lot across the street; not certain about the charge. There is also limited street parking at night. During the day there are meters. Parking in the hotel garage is $25 per day. It's located in the alley behind the hotel. The large black door isn't marked and you have to get out of the car to use your room key to open it. My wife felt somewhat uneasy when I got out of the car, but I was just mindful of my surroundings and wasn't uncomfortable. Getting into the main entrance of the hotel requires a room key or the front desk buzzing you in. Elevator access to the rooms from the garage or the lobby also require a room key. I felt secure throughout our stay.
I had difficulty with a hotel computer while trying to confirm my flight home and one of the laddies from the front desk was very helpful. I enjoyed our stay at the Element and would stay there again.

One of the advantages of the hotel is the location. It is about four blocks from downtown. Also, there is a parking lot across the street from the hotel. It is cheaper to park in the parking lot than hotel parking or on the street, i.e., It cost two dollars to park for two hours on the street. The parking is two dollars for five hours. Twelve dollars for overnight but you can park on the street for free after six pm. Also, street parking is free on the weekends.
Unfortunately, this hotel doesn’t meet the cleanest test. I spent five days in this hotel. Housekeeping only cleaned the room on three of the five days. I am being polite when I say that they cleaned it. When I arrived, I noticed that the floor was not properly cleaned. I could also tell that the bathroom floor and toilet was not cleaned each day, nor was the floor in front of the elevator cleaned each day. There were floor stains that were there each day. On our last day, we asked the front desk to have someone clean the room and dump the trash, but no one came. The common area could have been kept better. On two occasions, my wife went to get some tea and the water from the hot water jug came out with black spots. I believe this was from the filter.

+1
Horrible experience at this hotel. Marriott Platinum given room on the lowest floor with a view of a stale puddle with cigarette butts in it and the back of the many bail bonds places next door. The room felt dirty with hairs all over the bed and a cigarette burn in the bedspread. Shower has nowhere to put your things and the hotel provided shampoo and body wash is on floor of the shower. Shower drains very slowly so by the end your in a couple inches of soapy water, gross! Staff couldn’t care less, I was told they don’t have shelves in the shower because Marriott won’t let them. In my nearly 600 nights in Marriotts this is the first time I have had nowhere to put things in the shower. This hotel ranks among the absolute worst I have stayed at, Marriott or otherwise. Basic breakfast which is shut down within seconds of closing time, including coffee packed up as you’re approaching cup in hand at 930 on the dot. Surrounding area has no restaurants or convenience stores, just bail bonds places and sketchy people. Truly awful!

We needed a hotel near the Denver Art Museum and decided to try a fairly new one, Elements which is a Marriott property. If that location is convenient for you then my wife and I would strongly recommend this hotel. Architecturally it's a bit too modern for me, but it was clean and comfortable. The rooms are small but very well appointed, including a small refrigerator, a kitchen sink and a microwave. The bath was nicely sized and had a very nice stall shower which both my wife and I really appreciated. The staff was very responsive and nice and they serve a good breakfast, included in the price, which included made to order omelets. It would not be my first choice for breakfast but it was very serviceable. This is a property we would very much recommend.

Loved this hotel (rooms are great, staff is amazing and walking distance to a lot resturants/art museum/etc). Parking is cheaper in the open lot across the street but they offer paid parking on site as well. Each room has a desk and mini kitchen. Would absolutely stay here again!

Please note that I contacted Marriott's customer service department the same week we stayed at this property and no one has followed up with us.
Here is my feedback on this hotel...
This hotel is by far the worst Marriott property I have ever stayed.
Broken garage gate. Only one elevator working. We were the only two guests wearing masks. Every time we went to the parking garage there were people loitering, smoking cigs and pot, charging their phones in the electrical outlets. I’m sure some were hotel guests while others we watched walk in and out of the garage from the alley.
The vast majority of the other guests were sketchy AF. Fast food bags left in the hallways numerous times. No social norms like one party on the elevator at a time, wearing masks, stand 6 feet apart. Nothing.
Is this hotel housing otherwise homeless people through some sort of vouchers program from the city, county or state? Wouldn’t you want a heads up if that were the case?
When we were leaving to check out, guy on our floor with no mask on gets on the elevator with us. He then proceeds to go out front and start weeding and picking up garbage from the flower beds. So someone working for this hotel is not following CDC guidelines during a pandemic. Fantastic. When I brought this up to the front desk staff and they fumbled and had no adequate response.
Lastly, I haven’t received my emailed portfolio receipt and I followed up with a phone call two separate times to ask that it be sent via email. Still no receipt.

The Element Hotel was the first hotel on our Colorado tour. Located in the Civic Center district, we felt safe and comfortable in the area, in contrast to (Lower) Downtown, where we spent the last night of the trip. We would always choose Civic Center in the future and, if the price was acceptable, definitely the Element Hotel. We actually thought it was far too expensive (hence one point deducted) but we really wanted the hotel.
You can park very cheaply in a public car park directly opposite, 24 hours for $12, or free of charge until 8 a.m. at a parking meter, but the hotel also has its own garage for $25 for 24 hours and we used this for convenience because we arrived in the dark in the evening. If you stay several nights, you can do it cheaper than we did...
Our room was pleasantly spacious and had a fully equipped kitchenette, which we didn't use because we only stayed for one night.
I suspect we had a wheelchair-accessible room, the size and design of the bathroom suggested this. Our bathroom was therefore very large. Maybe all bathrooms are that big? We certainly liked it!
Great WiFi!
It's a shame that the outdoor terrace was locked. You can only access it with your room card, and we weren't able to get out there on either day.
Snacks and drinks are sold in the lobby, we only bought water, we thought it was a bit overpriced, but we were grateful for the water.
The reception is extremely friendly.
Surprisingly, a breakfast buffet was included in the room price. We really enjoyed that. For us, it was the best hotel breakfast in the USA, apart from the Riu Hotel in Miami. The Element Hotel offered various bagels and toasts, as well as spreads, jams, fruit, boiled eggs, water, juices, coffee, tea, etc. and you could have various egg dishes freshly prepared, I even had an avocado toast made without eggs because I don't eat eggs. The large, bright breakfast area is also very pleasant to sit and relax in!
And also very nice: The breakfast was pretty much waste-free. Not everything is packed in individual small plastic parts like is usual in the USA. The hotel thinks about sustainability and for the most part implements this very well. That makes it feel more high-quality than having a mountain of rubbish piled up next to you on the table! The plates and cutlery weren't made of plastic either, thank you very much for that, we liked that! Keep it up!
You can go for wonderful walks in the surrounding area, for example we went to the Colorado State Capitol and the Denver Art Museum, it's a doable radius and you get a great first impression! (Tip: Be sure to visit the Denver Botanical Garden, but take the car there.)

The hotel is in an ok area in Denver. The hotel itself is very new and it shows. Housekeeping as others have mentioned can be hit or miss, but overall does the job. The staff is great. Very friendly. Great value for money. Highly recommend it if you need an extended stay room with a kitchen during your stay. The only complaint is that face masks are not enforced well including with hotel staff.
