There are only a handful of larger hotels in the US that I have an opinion on, and The Maven is one of them. I chose The Maven primarily due to it's proximity to an Enterprise car rental location (because I wanted to rent a car one day) and the Amtrak station (since I was taking the train home). If I had not been lazy when I arrived at DEN, I would have taken the rail from the airport to this same station as it's a really short walk to the hotel and the taxi ride will set you back $100. The room was fantastic for me, I believe it was the Journeyman King. I was working from it several days and really liked the layout of my room with a bar-style desk behind the bed, effectively as the headboard. I had a corner room and a hanging swing chair was was unexpectedly comfortable. I opted into one add-on, a eucalyptus bouquet hanging in the shower, and this was well worth it - it was beautiful, and smelled amazing. I'm not a fan of pour over in my hotel room without a filter holder, though the coffee in the lobby and collaboration with the adjacent coffeeshop makes up for it for we coffee feigns. I loved my robe so much I bought it. Overall, I was really happy with this break from the norm. It worked out great working from my room and popping down to The Dairy Block restaurants to pick up lunch, wandering around the city in the evening. Super smooth logistics for me, too, with the car and train needs. I would love to have a reason to return to Denver and stay here again!

Everything can be almost perfect... it takes one small service item to ruin a stay. Went to the front desk to get a document printed and was informed that they don’t provide that service. Was sent on a six block wild goose chase to a non-existent FedEx facility. We wound up paying over $300 that night. These folks definitely missed the mark.

Awesome eclectic hotel right by Coors Field. The hotel had a cool vibe that I haven’t seen before. Kourtney at the front desk was so sweet and full of information and even put us in a room with a balcony overlooking dairy block that is fun to watch. Room was spacious and the bathroom was so cool. Would recommend and would stay here again.

100.00 a Day hold that takes days to be returned. No refrigerator for a four star hotel. We stayed here when we had many choices and paid 670.60 for three nights. We were charged immediately for close to 1,000.00 . 980.60 to be exact. Called hotel got a very sarcastic lady Kourtney who has zero patients and decides to hang up on me. She would not give me the name or opportunity to speak to her manager. This device is undeserving of a hotel of any level especially one that is dupppse to be FOUR stars. We will NEVER go back

I truly apologize again that the incidental hold took a day or so to come back to you, josephd75. Our general manager, Tiffany, let me know that she did follow up with you as promised, and that you did end up receiving the funds back into your account, which I was very glad to hear! I am sorry again for any frustration or inconvenience this caused, and sincerely hope you enjoyed your overall stay with us while you were here. We do have refrigerators available upon request for no additional cost and would be happy to place one in the room for you should you choose to return to the Maven. Thank you kindly for sharing your experience, and we hope to see you again next time you are in Denver!

From the moment we walked in we new staying at The Maven was the right choice. Drake greeted us and explained all of the free perks of staying here which include coffee every morning at Huckleberry's and nightly happy hour drinks in the lobby. The location of this hotel is ideal. You are walking distance to Union Station, Coors Field, the 16th Street Mall and Larimer Square. There are also wonderful places to eat both in the Dairy Block which is attached to the hotel and in the neighborhood. We can't wait to stay here again.
