I cannot say enough good things about the Teatro. The bathrooms are amazing and the property is top notch old world charm. Location wise it’s close to many Downtown Denver experiences like the Arts Complex, Union Station, and the 16th Street Mall. But it’s the staff that’s the real gem here from the front desk to Consierge to bar/restaurant staff. You are an honored and special guest at the Teatro, which is not only worth the price tag but worth its weight in gold these days. Recommend 100%. Side note- just for travel plans the on-site restaurant The Nickel is closed (as of now) on Sunday eves and Monday, so plan accordingly.
Nice hotel, lovely staff, clean room with appropriate outlets etc. Negatives; My room was very small & the bathroom tiny (had to walk around the door & squeeze to the toilet. Worse...internet was unstable on both networks & I was here to work.
I would like to take a moment to thank Matthew for his wonderful hospitality and the rest of the staff at Hotel Teatro for making my fiancé and I feel so great about staying at this adorable boutique hotel. I called mid afternoon before our arrival with a few questions, did they have a shuttle service for a pick up at Union station and was the restaurant going to be open with room service. We had some pretty heavy bags and had been traveling back from Europe and knew we would be pretty tired. Unfortunately neither of those were going to be available at that time. This is when Matthew really went above and beyond. On his own accord, he promoted us to a Deluxe King (Sooo comfortable btw) and offered to have some snacks in the room for us. Talk about problem solving, showing care, and really wowing us with hospitality. Everyone we encountered throughout our stay was positive, professional, and genuine. 10/10 recommend!…
Stayed all too briefly on business and found the hotel to be charming! Rooms are well appointed, quiet and clean--while not spacious, it has everything one might need and makes efficient use of space. The lobby is great for relaxing and the bar is not to be missed!
The rooms are clean and modern and the bathrooms are nice with plenty of counter space. They wash the linens in Tide and spray the bed with a mild Febreze. This was triggering to my allergies, but most people wouldn't even notice.
We had a stay of three nights. The hotel is boutique and very unique, renovated from an old tram station building. The rooms are comfortable with thoughtful deco and amenities. We had a corner room with huge windows. It was a pleasant stay and we would certainly book again in our next trip to Denver.
I’ve visited The Nickel in Hotel Teatro many times as a Denver resident over the years, but this was our first stay at the hotel. And it will not be our last. When I booked, I mentioned we were visiting after moving out of state and would love a view of the mountains, if possible, since I was feeling homesick and it wasn’t a booking option. Upon checking in, was thrilled to not only have a great view, but a thoughtful handwritten note from Matthew, the hotel manager. That set the tone for the stay. At every step, staff was genuinely friendly and helpful, if needed. Room was comfortable, clean, well-equipped and quiet. Food and drink at The Nickel was wonderful. Grateful to Hotel Teatro for making us feel at home in our hometown and will definitely be staying there again!
Spent a week in the junior king suite and couldn’t find anything wrong with this hotel, nice and spacious rooms, excellent customer service and hospitality. Prompt service from engineering and front desk when bathroom malfunctioned . Will be back and looking forward to staying here in my next trip to Denver
Lovely, well designed rooms, although the standard (aka Superior) room is small. Excellent location, comfortable beds. Excellent dinner at the restaurant, "The Nickel." But the people are truly superb, and are probably the reason we keep coming back. Everyone we have encountered on the staff, from the valets to the front desk folks are friendly, engaging, immediately helpful and professional. Somehow, they create a sense that we are visiting friends rather than just occupying a hotel room. We will always choose the Hotel Teatro for our stays in Denver.
This was such a treat! My room was beautiful, the property charming, and the staff exceptional! Emmanuel went out of his way each day to ask me about my day and the success of the training I was in town to provide. I appreciated having the fitness room open 24 hours and the magnificent large bathtub in my room.
