Our hotel is a fully-restored Victorian, brownstone mansion originally built in 1896 for prominent Denver jeweler Henry Bohm of Bohm Jewelers. Elegant period décor along with high ceilings, hardwood floors, intricate moldings, private baths and kitchens. From our eclectic Capitol Hill location visitors enjoy Denver's best sight-seeing, shopping, music, art, and nightlife all within minutes of our front door-the neighborhood described in the Jack Kerouac classic, On the Road. The Holiday Chalet enjoys the benefit of an exciting, high-energy central location within the vibrant heart of the city amid an eclectic mixture of shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The creative spirit in our neighborhood appeals to artists, architects, designers, writers and musicians alike. However, enveloping warmth, charm, comfort, and security within the hotel also make The Holiday Chalet a convenient home away from home for business and leisure travelers alike.

We were given rooms we didn’t choose and were told 14 mins before arrival, one room had no ac, no working tv, no dead bolt lock on the door and was right in front of the entry. The other room had no control of the full blasting ac. building was cute. We thought we booked rooms on higher floors, one room had a sitting area where we were needing to regroup in the morning, but the room we were given had no such thing and decided to just get out of there. there was no check out process. There is no one there to ask for anything. We did ask a cleaning person but could tell we were bothering her as she was hustling to get cleaning done. So i understand, but I had just driven 13 hours and was bursting at the seam to use the restroom, otherwise we would’ve left somewhere else for $200 a night. Very disappointed and felt backed into a corner. Not the kinda experience I was looking forward to. My specific room was so cold with no control of the ac i was shaking and shiver so hard when I got out of the shower and had to sleep balled up fetal position style to stay warm cause the unit blasted air directly onto the bed. rough expensive night after a long drive. while my friend in the room next door was hot all night with no air flow in the room. we have full on REGRET, had a much lovelier experience at Off Broadway B&B not too far from there.

This is a brothel that masquerades as a BnB. No one works there. The doors have no locks. I stepped on a crack pipe. This is nearby other true BnBs but is in an bad part of town that's next to a great part of town. Don't be fooled by any reviews other than this one. We ran away as fast as we could. DO NOT BOOK

For me the location was perfect, the room was great (had a kitchen!), it was warm despite the absolutely freezing weather, security was solid, great places to grub nearby, very accessible via public transpo. I couldn't have asked for more. Def my go to hotel in Denver for any future trips.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here. It's pretty reasonably priced but is in desperate need of some updating & extra care needs to be taken to make sure the rooms are in good condition. We had coffee but no cups. Our TV came on AUTOMATICALLY & started showing porn photos - VERY WEIRD! We finally unplugged it. Our friends in a different room had old, VERY OLD (stinky, moldy) food in their fridge. They had cups but no coffee!!! Better attention needs be given before releasing the rooms. Thank you.

We visit Denver often from Manitou Springs. This was our first stay at the Holiday Chalet, but it won't be our last! The bed was SO comfortable. I felt like I had the best nights sleep in a long time! Didn't have a chance to take advantage of the beautiful bathtub, will definitely work a bubble bath into our next trip. Randee was helpful to chat with!

The Holiday Chalet was like home away from home! (only decorated way better) :) We are used to very slow paced rural living. The City of Denver was quite stimulating. Our room offered a quiet get away that re-energized us each night, allowing us to enjoy the rest of our visit. And the Bed! Oh my! Sooo comfortable!! The small details that the staff paid attention to in the room were outstanding. Friendly and welcoming!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND for a romantic get away or any reason.

This is a charming, old school hotel. There's a full kitchen (fridge, stove, big sink, dishes, coffee maker with coffee provided), hardwood floors in the bedroom, comfy bed. It is small but comfortable for one or two. I never actually interacted with anybody; just used a code to get into the room. I didn't have any issues, so I can't say how their customer service is beyond what was already in the room. They also provided toiletries, etc., and there were no hidden charges or fees (which I very much appreciate this day and age). The location is actually fantastic too, even though Colfax (the street in front) felt a little sketchy at first (because of homeless people). But Colfax has a lot of cool places to eat, and I was never hassled by anyone. If you don't mind a bit of walking, you can get to several fun places on foot: I walked to the natural science museum and the botanical garden (both with visiting) and a couple of nice parks nearby. Plus, the neighborhoods behind the hotel are beautiful and made for walking (sidewalks, shade, lots of people walking their dogs), with some good restaurants within walking distance. The only thing that is a bit of a pain is parking. You have to find a spot on the street, which takes a little searching. But I was always able to get a space no more than 2 blocks away. Overall, a fantastic place. I really enjoyed my stay.

This is not a “standard” hotel and it isn’t exactly a B&B, but if you like “different”; if you’re in to antiques and a Victorian vibe; this is a fun and funky place to stay. My room was VERY clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was super responsive! Anything I needed was just a quick phone call away. It is very conveniently located on Colfax, which is a busy street with easy access to everything you may want to do while in Denver.
