It met my expectations and more. We were on the 12th floor and the view of downtown Denver and the Rocky mountains in the background were amazing. The room was large and very nice. I was quiet satisfied. We had the breakfast buffet which was great. I am not a typical breakfast eater of sausage, eggs, bacon, cereal, biscuit, etc.... So I was glad to see they had salmon and make your own omelette station. Parking was easy and the garage is a minute away. There are plenty of shops, local eateries around the area so the hotel is located in a good spot.

Have had great experiences at other Renaissance properties and wanted a stress-free stay (we had an early morning and long day the next day) and booked this property. The lobby may look new and modern, but the property is an old one, dating from the time that Stapleton (the surrounding neighborhood) used to be the site of Denver's airport. Our room may have had nice furnishings, but you could see it was all kind of a facade. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom. The room stank of mold (not great for allergies). We had a bad previous experience at the budget hotel right next door on a prior visit and I thought paying a premium would make a difference, but I was wrong. Skip this property.

When i received the food which was from “room dining”, the hotel chose to set it as room charge without asking me what option would i pay. Abrahar, the delivery man , gave me a pizza box with a bag for a box of fries. When i opened the pizza believe it or not i found the remains of the previous customers that was sliced and messy and some slices I’ve found that was eaten a part of it and drizzled cheese to cover the remains of the customers’ pizza. In addition, the box of the fries was greasy with oily finger prints on top of the box and very greasy. So, i called the receptionist to tell her about the food I received, and asked her if it was from the hotel or not. Her response was “ i don’t know “ and it was like an act that they’ve been trained for in this hotel. Her voice was as if she knows that the food will be served in this way but acting as if she didn’t know. So she said she’ll call me back. I waited for her call for a while but she didn’t recall back. I called the restaurant and the reception again twice but no one answered. I went down with the food that I didn’t even ate and showed Chris, the receptionist, how the food was served to me and he took it as if he knows about the problem with no apologies in return. I talked to him about the fries and he gave me an excuse which is the grease is because of the condensation of the fries which is nonsense to me because it was oily finger prints all over the box. He cancelled the food and didn’t charge me for it. To me , Renaissance hotel is a world wide hotel, is this how a worldwide hotel serves a table- less in room dining? When i saw the pizza box I remembered dominos pizza and papa johns . I was in shock. A/C wasn’t working, when i choose to turn it off , it converts to a heater! In addition, it wasn’t cold enough. Balcony is not double glazed and was full of bird poops remained unclean. You can’t stay at the balcony at all because of the dirt on the floor. Noisy weekend at the lobby, because the rooms are upon the lobby and they’re open to the lobby. There are no walls that could reduce the noise of the people in the bar. Housekeeper doesn’t clean that much. Sometimes she doesn’t put tissue even if its empty. Hair was fallen in the shower that wasn’t removed until the next day. Shampoo bottles was on the floor which remained on the floor till the next day. Elevators are very smelly. They had metallic smell that was disgusting. Theres only one luggage cart for this hotel . I’ve waited for 30 minutes to receive a cart . the receptionist was searching for it but she couldn’t find it so she asked the concierge and he said he doesn’t know where is it. Car park is unsafe. Sometimes, the entrance is left open. Expensive. The limitation line ( yellow line ) of the parking for each car is not clear and is partially erased. The car that parks in-front of the other car cannot see the line which separates a car from another. In summary, if i were you , I wouldn’t stay at this hotel at all.

Stapleton is just outside Denver and is a cool town created from former airport grounds. Very well planned out and creative. The Renaissance is a good location to explore Stapleton as well as travel into Denver easily. Hotel is clean and spacious with good breakfast. Garage parking.

I love the service and atmosphere at Marriott properties. They had everything ready for my check in, the decor is suitable for a four star hotel and the place sparkles. The little decorating extras stand out, like the ski lift chairs around the outside dining booths in the restaurant. My room was super clean and very elegant. I had drinks and appetizers in the lobby lounge. The food was great and the service very attentive.
