I came through Del Norte in a bad snow storm that closed Wolf Creek Pass. Mark was gracious to provide me a room at the last moment. The atmosphere was quaint and very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. The hospitality was greatly appreciated considering it saved me a very cold night in my truck. Wonderful people and a nice place....

We stayed at the Apple Lodge Bed and Breakfast in Del Norte, Colorado, for 1-night in late Sept ($129) while visiting Great Sand Dunes National Park. Located just west of town, the B&B is just off Hwy 160, across a private railway crossing and along a parallel gravel road. It was a 2-storey house with 2 rooms on the main...

This is truly a B & B....not like the "commercial' ones. The owners are delightful and you truly do feel as if you are staying in someone's house. The breakfast was outstanding and it was truly a delightful experience.

I have struggled with writing this review. To begin with I need a few more stars to work with... In addition the care and help I received from Mark and Judy is beyond what any guest should arrive expecting. My husband and i were in the middle of a three month bike-camping trip when I had some medical issues. Mark...

We came to the valley for a train ride out of Durango and chose AppleLodge Bed and Breakfast because we had stayed there on 2 other occasions. Mark and Judy Applewhite are gracious hosts with very helpful knowledge of restaurants and other services in the area. We will definitely stay at this bed and breakfast when we are in the...

We stayed in the Red Delicious room and it was quite comfortable. There is a very large jetted tub that can fit two people in it. There is also a very small refrigerator in a "shared space" that can be used, which we found helpful. The hosts are very friendly!

My boyfriend and I very much enjoyed staying here on a short ski trip over NY 2015. (Apple Lodge is 45 min from Wolf Creek and 5 hours from Boulder.)The owners, Mark and Judy, are very personable, helpful and friendly but not overbearing. They will chat if you are so inclined, but they will also let you relax in silence...

I was arriving late so the innkeeper called me to make sure I would be in an area that would have restaurants open for dinner as the restaurants in Del Norte close around 8 or 8:30. I thought this was very considerate. The innkeepers were very friendly and accommodating . The breakfast was fantastic. A very enjoyable stay.

“We stayed in the Granny Smith room which is on the main floor down a short hallway from the grand "fireplace room" common area. This room is quite small, but fine for a couple or single traveler. The bathroom is adjacent to the room, therefore you need to step into the hall briefly to get to the bathroom. One robe is supplied, and since the room is down a hall where no other rooms are located, it is still very private.”
