Checked out briefly. The two rooms we are shown were uninhabitable, the smell was awful. We were cycling and camping down the Great Divide and so we were used to roughing it but this was too much. Avoid.

We have been stopping here for years for breakfast on our way from Texas to Lake City. They serve a very good breakfast with the hungry traveler being our favorite. They have the usual choices for breakfast and the portions are large. The local men gather at a front table for coffee and confab. I do miss that the new...

My father was the original owner of this property back in 1989 until his passing in 2004. While I can't comment on the state of the property under current ownership, I can say that if you're looking for luxurious accommodations this was never the place. My father took a great deal of pride in both the restaurant and the motel....

Wow, some folks are mean! We found this place perfectly ok. It was affordable and we got what we paid for. Nothing fancy, but we paid $59. What can you expect. Our room was clean, the sheets were clean. We asked for extra towels and got them, no fuss.

Ended up here after a long hard day and evening of driving through the mountains. This is indeed a very small town- the last one before entering the vast Rio Grande National Forest. That meant luxury accommodations aren't to be expected. The young gentleman who answered my knock was very polite and respectful, unusual for a teenager woken up by...

This place is the bottom of the barrel. The room floors/carpets are worn and dirty. The rooms have a very unusual smell. We had only one towel another was supplied when we asked. Some of the baseboard trim is missing, poor choice of wall paint color. The rooms were so disgusting that we decided the restaurant was probably just as...

This was the worst place I have ever stayed. At first I though it was a great price until I saw the conditions. We were over charged. It was dirty! There was something that had dripped down on the wall (I don't even want to know what it was), crumbs on the night stand, used bar of soap in the...

We were traveling thru Del Norte and just wanted a breakfast. This was the first place we found and not knowing what else was around we opted to go in. I mean there's not much else for miles ... so we didn't know how far we'd have to go to find something else. Let me tell you ... keep going....

Upon opening the door and turning the lights on, my first thought was this: “God I can’t wait to get out of here! The room was rank and fowl. The walls were a sloppy coat of depressing dark blue, slopped onto the ceiling as well. The room was a series of two oddly laid out rooms, with two huge but...

We didn't want to drive over Wolf Creek after a late high school football game. Should have camped in a tent! In business since 1989, yeah right maybe 1889. This place is disgusting!!! The maid must not have cleaned the room. There were wet towels in the bathtub from a previous visitor. The fire hazard heater popped all night as...
