If you're looking to step back in time on a trip, Cripple Creek and this wonderful hospital-converted-to-hotel are the places to go. The staff is wonderful. I booked a package deal that included a massage (available with a minimum stay of three nights). The hotel, despite being built in 1901, is fully updated yet retains some of the historical aspects (like radiators in the room). It is walking distance to the town (although with the altitude those of us from lower to sea level places had difficulty navigating the hilly town.) I would highly recommend checking out this gem!

This is a unique place worth a stay if you are in the area. Don’t come here thinking it’s a motel, it’s more but without some of the usual amenities. We were in Room 30 (Recovery). Room size was a bit tight for two people for two days and outlets are scarce (there are larger rooms). There is no air, but the ceiling fan did a good job and we’re at close to 10,000 feet here so it’s really not as important. The room was on second floor with no elevator which got me huffing and puffing hauling up suitcases at this altitude (there are first floor rooms). The TV service is a bit erratic. Okay, I’ve given you some negatives, so now here’s the real story. Each staff person we met was amazingly cheerful and willing to help in any way. Décor is very interesting. The building was a hospital over 100 years ago and artifacts and furnishing from that period are spread throughout. There is a nice balcony for relaxing in the evening as well as other outdoor use options. The wi-fi not blazing fast but is reliable. Our king bed was quite comfortable. They let me plug my electric car at an RV site which was very appreciated in this charging station void (there are a couple unreliable L2s in town). Breakfast is not motel fare. It is actually from a food truck next to the motel providing restaurant quality food. There is a sitting area with coffee and hot water where you can eat breakfast as well as outdoor seating. We also found that the “welcome home” attitude of the staff and ambiance promoted a camaraderie with among guests that your will not find in a hotel. We will definitely (and eagerly) return.

This is the best kept secret in Cripple Creek. I’m reluctant to glow, we want to return and fear revealing our secret will make it impossible to get future reservations! A charmingly renovated Hospital that kept the historic value of the Hospital and created a B&B with a twist and a flair that enhances the time warp that is Cripple Creek. The grounds are spectacularly maintained. The best part, it is BOTH an RV travel Park (tight spaces and gravel lot behind hotel, FHU’s, price is right) and a hotel. They are Covid sensitive, serve breakfast, with limited choices, from an adorable renovated TT that can be consumed at the outdoor tables with a view provided, or indoors if preferred. We were a fun group of about 25 with most in the RV park and some of us in the hotel. Everyone, to a person, want to book again for next year’s 55+ winter resort reunion for Colorado, and other transient residents. Bet we get lots more signing up after posting of our picture perfect time spent at Colorado Hospitality House!

Located on the edge of town, this historic building has been beautifully restored and maintained. The area is very quiet with easy access. We stayed in an upstairs room ( no elevator) with an on suite bath that was in great condition.
It does not appear they have AC as there was none visible and there was a box fan behind the door. As we were there in the spring this was not an issue and the boiler heat was very nice.
I don't know if all rooms have the same type of mattress, but ours was a memory foam type, good quality, but just not our preference.
The entire building is filled with antiques that are worth taking a few minutes to view. Breakfast is provided by an onsite food service that requires you call to place your order. We found the food to be comparable to most hotel hot breakfast, but it is prepared individually by order, therefore there may be a slight wait for your order.
The staff were very polite and friendly, although after the last guest checks in at night they are not on the premises.
Over all we enjoyed the change from a routine hotel room and the setting is wonderful as well as the cleanliness was outstanding!

The 1900s atmosphere is a delightful touch that adds to the overall charm. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with essential amenities like refrigerators, microwaves, and extra blankets for a pleasant stay. The laundry room and breakfast area are practical additions for all the guests. The staff is super friendly. An extra bonus is Doc's Breakfast Truck, with delicious breakfast options that we enjoyed outdoors. We had a great time! There is no doubt that Hospitality House is our favorite place in Cripple Creek.

This unique hotel is a step back in time around the 1890’s with all the period appropriate furnishings and fixtures and very comfortable beds. Very friendly western service and accommodations. Stay here when in Cripple Creek, don’t go to those hotels inside the casinos in town. Very quiet as well.

We got to the campground at 4:20 and the office closed at 4. That was ok but when we woke up to take a shower at 7 am, the shower room/bathroom was locked. Well, we find out after they open at 8 that it is $5 extra for bathroom access. Information we could have use OVER THE PHONE when we booked our site. Didn’t get the code til 8:30. So lunch for getting out at a decent hour :(

Yes, as discussed, we did err by assuming your rig was self-contained and apologized for the inconvenience and refunded your fee. On-line reservations require the guest to agree to our policies, where fees for Bath House access is clearly documented - our confirmation emails contain the same language; however, this was a phone reservation and we should have discussed prior to finalizing the reservation. This step was missed based on the assumption referenced above, and again, we apologize. We hope you enjoy the rest of your summer travels.

This is a unique B&B with each room labeled as one of the original hospital rooms. We stayed in the Nursery which is the smallest (little counter space) but good sized bathroom. We were told ahead of booking that it was small, so no complaints! The tray tables can be used for counter space. The hospital artifacts in the halls are really interesting. The wild donkeys greeted us at breakfast on the front lawn. Doc's food truck (breakfast included in room rate) was delicious and large portions. Enjoyed talking with Rick co-owner of the property. Mike (co-owner) helped us find things to do including Mollie mine and District Museum.

This place is something else. And in a good way. Kind of out of the way but worth the drive in my opinion. We took a room with the king bed and the bathroom attached. We were about 2 hrs off of our initial arrival time and we got a personal call from the front desk person asking if everything was ok with our travel. I thought that was nice. The whole place is full of antiques and interesting things to look at. The room was nicely appointed and clean. It even had a floor fan, which is a plus for me because I sleep with a fan on. There were TV trays in the room if you wanted to eat in, and a cute kitchen area you could go in the morning for coffee. They have a food truck for breakfast a couple days a week, that is right on the property. The House picks up $ 6.00 of your initial order, per person. The rest is on you. That was a nice perk. There is plenty of nice outdoor seating and lots of hummingbird feeders that were fun to watch.

The Hospitality House is a pun--this building used to be a hospital! It's decorated with antiques appropriate to a hospital a hundred years ago and furnished with comfortable, compatibly styled beds are room furniture. We were delighted with the COVID accommodation of offering breakfast from a food truck and lawn seating with umbrellaed tables to give us a safe and delicious breakfast. Unlimited hot drinks were available in the "kitchen" and also felt quite safe and homey.
Sadly, the common rooms are closed for use till this virus passes, but, happily, Colorado weather is accommodating for much of the year.
There is a lot to do in the Cripple Creek area besides gambling, so hikers, historians, and book readers can all enjoy their stays.
There are a variety of rooms. I think it's ideal for a family or friend event. Truly reasonable rates for what you get.
