Detailed Reviews
We stayed at this hotel for one night recently. What a pleasant place. We were a bit leery of it's two star status, but those fears quickly subsided.Cisco told us he and his wife Hanna have taken over this establishment for three years now. Without asking, when we checked in, Cisco showed us two rooms that were available; both nice quiet, CLEAN, definitely not fancy, but perfectly fine (no TV or fridge). We checked in during which I helped myself to the coffee in the lobby (loved that it had a note-wash your hands before working the single serving coffee machine). We loved that they put out fresh individually wrapped cookies at 4 p.m. SO GOOD!! With Covid in play, breakfast was a type of 'grab and go' yogurt parfait (your choice of vanilla or plain yogurt). The granola even had macadamia nuts in it!! WHAT?? 2 star??; a home baked muffin, juice and coffee, hard boiled eggs, tangerines. You can choose to eat your breakfast outside on their deck, or inside, or go to?? Perfect. They offered an array of bikes to use if we wanted to ride about town (we did)-no worries about locking them, Cisco said they won't get stolen-they didn't. I really liked this place.Close to town so you could walk. Really nice.

The best part of this hotel is its location. It is one block from a bus stop (free shuttle to crested butte ski base area, leaving every 15 minutes). It’s less than a 10 minute ride to the resort. In addition, it is a 4 minute walk to Crested Butte’s Main Street where all the restaurants and shops are. Hotel Parking is free, too. I think this is a better location than staying at the base of the ski resort.
That said, the hotel is dark and dated, with small rooms. However, the staff is friendly and I saw them cleaning constantly. There is a self serve coffee, hot cider, hot chocolate station (hand sanitizer right there, too). The included to-go breakfast is good: granola/yogurt parfaits, mandarin oranges, pre-packaged pastries, hard boiled eggs, and small canned juices. There are two areas to hang out: one downstairs in front of a fireplace and one upstairs with the only tv in the hotel.
I recommend this hotel, depending on your priorities.

This is not a place for noisy roudy people. But it's great for people who want a quiet place to stay that is within easy walking distance of down town.
The rooms are small, but sufficient to open a suitcase and get in and out of bed. It is quiet because other people respect the need for peace and tranquility.
There is breakfast in the morning, with all I needed.
The Wi-Fi was very good -- 200 Mb/s symmetrical, although it had several dropouts.
The room had a power outlet by the bed with USB (but my USB didn't work), and an ironing board. The room has dispensers for soaps etc, which is far preferable to little packets or single use containers. And there are free cookies in the late afternoon.
The staff are friendly and there is plenty of parking. It's a five minute walk to the old town with all its restaurants.

The good news- Christiana Guesthaus is located conveniently and within walking distance of the downtown area and the staff is very friendly. The bad news- The rooms are very small and have no air conditioning, so you must open the windows and pull back the heavy drapes in order to keep from suffocating. This leaves you entirely exposed to the sidewalk and parking lot. There are no fans in the room to help with this situation either. With the windows open there is a lot of noise from the street. Unless money is the concern, I would look elsewhere.

If you like glitz, pretension, sitting in your room watching TV or gorging on the mini bar, this place is not for you.
If you like $18 Manhattans, $6 lattes, distracted employees, or uncaring hosts, this place is not for you.
If, however, you like warm welcomes, a home like feel( with the occasional fly by of one of the owner’s delightful kids), and a time machine to an era when skiers or hikers gathered after an exhilarating day to share stories ( and homemade cookies, and wine) and an appreciation for the stunning place that is Crested Butte— this is the place for you.
Even a short stay will improve your mood, lower your blood pressure, and prompt you to make plans to return.

Stayed for 8 nights and had a blast! Owners and staff could not be more kind, nice, helpful and truly cared about our comfort and stay - they consistently went out of their way to be friendly and helpful! Great large rooms (warm too), smallish bathroom but great ski locker. With two common rooms we had delightful conversations with other guests and with only 21 rooms - had a "family" type experience. Close to the bus to ski, close to restaurants and main street. Best place to stay in CB for sure! Will definitely be back! Thanks so much for a great battery charge too!!!

I stayed at the Cristiana GuestHaus between Christmas and New Years. The hotel reminded me of the privately-owned boutique hotels I've visited in Germany, Italy and other European countries. The lobby and other public areas are charming, with a large central fireplace, hand-painted trim and large open staircase to the upstairs floor. The rooms are simple, functional and recently renovated. The two things that impressed me most were the kind, thoughtful owners of the hotel (who were very accessible and hands-on), and how immaculate they keep the hotel. The homemade granola and yogurt parfait is not to miss! Don't expect frills or fuss. Just go for a warm, inviting place to rest after a long day in the mountains, and enjoy the comfortable beds.

Stayed here last minute for a couple days. Location is great if you want to be in town and walkable to everything. Rooms are very simple and they are extra clean. Check in is at 3, and I had to wait until a little after that. I did not mind waiting after seeing how clean the room was especially given these Covid times. Bed was comfortable and there was a white noise machine which was a nice touch. Property allows dogs; however, you cannot leave dogs in room if you’re not there. This was not an issue, I took my dog everywhere. Overall, great value for the price. I was not staying in the room much. For a couple days, I would stay here again!

I toured Colorado making 5 stops and this choice of lodging in Crested Butte was the least expensive and might have been the most enjoyable experience. There is plenty of seating indoors (on 2 levels) and out offering opportunities to chat with fellow travelers and swap stories and ideas about activities and restaurants in town. The breakfast was way more elaborate than I expected too. And of course the location is tough to beat. You can leave the car keys behind and walk to dinner and enjoy a bottle of wine.

Once again, the Cristina Guesthouse does not disappoint! Our second visit here and will not be our last! Colleen, Dimas, Hannah and the entire staff make sure you have everything you need for a terrific stay. As others have said, this is a laid back and smallish guesthouse which is great fun during breakfast and après ski time to catch up with other visitors. Bed's are comfy, toiletries provided and the afternoon cookies are always home made. A 2 minute walk to the ski shuttle and close to downtown for restaurants and fun bars...this is an excellent location in CB for all your ski needs. Enjoy!
