The positives were staff is nice, walking distance to downtown and good water pressure. But the actual place is run down and shabby. Here we go: bed linens so old they were piling and uncomfortable, I think the bed was twin and not queen, the bed had this large screw that held it to wall, curtain coming off rod, no fans so it was stuffy and had to open window which was so heavy I had to call manager to open and close, no elevator and no TVs in room. There is wi-fi if you want to stream on your phone but was slow at times. Basic breakfast offered which is nice. It comes down to “would I stay there again?” The answer is no.
We wanted to stay in downtown Crested Butte and were happy we found this inn. The location is great right near the funky downtown block with the shops and restaurants. We stayed during a fall weekend and the inn was full. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. We had a room with a king bed which was basic but comfortable. There is a TV in the common area if you want to watch football (which people were doing). A TV in room is nice but I appreciate these small inns that choose not to provide one. The owners and other staff were nice and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again.
Friendly staff, had to park at next complex for parking. Queen bed was actually a full bed. Room was 12x10 and bathroom was even smaller. No chairs, no closet, no desk, no TV, no thermostat, no AC...kind of like camping in a tent. Had to open the window to the fire escape to get any air flow. Breakfast was hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, shredded watermelon, a muffin and a yogurt parfait that was spoiled or badly made. ..all for the bargain price of $199/night. I have gotten much better at la quanta inn for $39/night
We were VERY pleased with our stay at The Christiana Guesthaus. Cisco (one of the owners) went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The little extras they have like bike rentals, cookies in the afternoon make you feel special. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Crested Butte.
Chritiana Guesthaus was great for our overnight visit to Crested Butte. If you read the positive reviews you know you are booking in a guesthouse more European in atmosphere than a fancy B&B. The common areas are very comfortable and become nice area to visit with other travelers. The rooms are very clean, the bed very comfortable and the location to walking to town perfect. We were there on a cold ,chilly ,rainy night so did not miss no A/C and in the summer that may be a issue for some, do just be advised. Family owned and operated and their commitment to good service is evident. Highly recommend.
