My husband and I spent three days here in the Sunshine Cabin! Loved the rustic feel of the cabin, solitude and beauty of the natural surroundings. COVID safety procedures excellent. We were able to reserve the creek side hot tub for our party an hour each day. Staff was friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend for couples or families.

We stayed in Homestead cabin for 3 nights over a snowy weekend in December. The property is well enough removed from the hustle and bustle to feel remote yet it is only a few miles to the highway and 10 minutes into town. Due to Covid we cooked all but two meals during our stay and everything we needed was on hand in the kitchen to make complete meals. The bathroom is tight, agreed, but the size of the bathroom is way down my list of important features in a rustic getaway cabin so it was never an issue for us. We actually slept in the bed that's in the back of the living room because it's bigger than the one in the bedroom. The bed, linens, and comforter was so warm and comfortable we slept great every night and it was below zero a few nights. The gas stove/heater is a perfect way to feel like you're in front of a fire place while keeping the cabin toasty warm. We hiked the trails that are on the property and a few just off the property and can't wait to return in summer and discover more of this beautiful area. We had our 4-month old potty-trained puppy with us and it was so great for him to experience high altitude, really chilly weather, and gain some independence during our stay. Can't wait to spend more time on this great property!

Many thanks for providing a charmingly rustic, yet oh-so-perectly equipped cabin and surroundings for what was the best down-time we’ve had in a very long time. Red Fox was delightfully cozy with a really comfortable bed and pillows and a fireplace that made it toasty warm at night. The cabin was fresh and airy during the autumn days with the windows opened wide to hear the birds and the stream. Relaxing in the chairs around the fire pit with a good book after a long hike was beyond lovely; and sitting in the chairs by the river felt almost divine. We've already booked another stay there, but for twice as long!

My family loves this place. Cozy cabins , cold creek with fishing(both of my boys caught trout), and campfires. Clean cabins equipped with everything I needed to cook wonderful meals. They even had a electric tea kettle for my Yerba Mate. Whaaaaaaat Leah is fantastic and the dogs are super friendly. Just up the forest road are amazing hikes. Look, if you want a real Colorado experience, outside, this is the place. Thanks y’all for this very very special destination. It’s my family’s favorite spot to get away, listen to nature’s symphony and star gaze. Douglas, Vanessa, Liam, and Zeke

My husband and I only stayed for 2 nights in August and I wish it was longer. We arrived early before “official” check in and our cabin was being throughly cleaned for us and we were allowed to occupy it. I was so pleasantly surprised at how well appointed it was, there was nothing lacking. We had our dog with us and enjoyed being able to walk in the quiet on the property with her. I hope to be able to return again in the future.
