The Nordic Inn is the longest operating lodge in the county. Only 500 yards from the lifts at the base of Mt Crested Butte, lies a slice of historic nostalgia from the early days of skiing in Colorado. Classic past meets present day with luxury accommodations and services of a contemporary boutique bed & breakfast hotel. The Nordic Team is known for hospitality, humour, and personal connection with guests. The Inn is beautifully renovated in keeping with the charm of the original hotel. Each morning begins in the warmth of the breakfast room with a wholesome continental breakfast to see you through the day’s adventure. Play hard, then head back to a roaring fire in the hotel's intimate lounge, where you can relax, enjoy music and a glass of fine wine, whilst taking in the amazing views of Mt Crested Butte. Rooms range from Signature King and Double Queen to our luxury Nordic Chalet. We allow dogs in certain rooms (call the hotel) for $30, per pet, per night. We would love to host you!

We loved our stay, the staff were lovely, the room was really clean and the bed was comfortable. We hiked the local area and had a great day out at Green Lake. Breakfast set us on a good footing for the day! Thanks for a lovely stay, we would happily come back again

Em_bo 3 - thank you so much. We were delighted to have you. If you loved Green lake, (Emerald Lake) and the surrounding trails, make a point next time of spending the day at Long Lake…it’s a really beautiful area with so many hikes to choose from. Bring your SUP and Team Nordic will pack an early breakfast for you. Till then…

Stayed at this inn with a travel group. We have traveled extensively in the US and Europe, and this is probably one of the worst places we have stayed. This place is in serious need of maintenance. In our room, the toilet seat was ready to fall off and the dead bolt did not work. The carpet was dirty and spotted. Other members of our group complained about clogged sink and tub drains and the first night two rooms had their smoke detectors go off for no reason and one of the detectors was hanging by its wires. Continental breakfast is included and was a joke. Start time was 7:00 am, but when we went down nothing was set up, so the first 30 minutes was spent tripping over their employee bringing out different items with 15 other people trying to get what they could. The food was not up to par. No fruit the first morning and my partner got a piece of moldy cheese. We did not go down the last day of our stay as we did not want to deal with the hassles. In their defense, they are new owners and I hope they have a serious plan to improve this place, but it is off our list.

Bud B - please accept our heartfelt apologies if your time with us did not meet your expectations. It seems that everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. We take our guest’s feedback seriously and truly make an effort to right our wrongs when required, so we have looked into all aspects of your concerns to avoid a reoccurrence. We were relieved to receive a mail from your group thanking us and confirming that they would be back, so it appears that yours is an isolated case - not that this is a consolation of course. It also appears that the smoke detectors were in fact accidentally activated by members of your group, which gives us a small measure of comfort, knowing that our systems responded appropriately. As for ‘a piece of mouldy cheese’… this remains a mystery and we can offer no explanation. I must mention that in terms of the local health code, we may not serve fresh fruit or hand cut cheese. These items are available to our guests in sealed packaging as received directly from our suppliers, with sell-by dates in the distant future, making mould somewhat improbable. Nevertheless, we thank you for bringing these shortcomings to our attention and wish you well in the future.

Staying at The Nordic Inn for two nights was a wonderful experience that I would recommend to anyone traveling to Crested Butte. We were met with a huge smile and welcome and situated in our room in minutes, with all types of local information and recommendations. Our room was immaculate and comfortable, and the breakfasts were fresh and plentiful. The stay is walking distance to the ski lifts and to the restaurants, pubs and shops in Mount Crested Butte. We loved our visit and can’t wait to return! Highly recommended.

Arthury367 - you’re our ideal guest! You clearly appreciate the olde world charm of the Inn, the quaint mountain village of Crested Butte, The amazing hikes and trails, the friendly locals and of course the energy and enthusiasm of the Nordic team. I don’t think it gets better than this... until winter comes around of course :-) which is when we hope to see you again. Safe travels till then

We spent a night at the Nordic Inn this past week. The room was clean and comfortable and the inn-keeper was super friendly and accommodating. We were leaving for an early morning hike at 5:30 am. He made sure breakfast was available for us before we left even though it’s usually served starting at 7 am. He got up, made coffee, and put out muffins and bagels. We were extremely grateful that he went the extra mile. The hike was incredible.

Atravelerden - we really appreciate your kind words. Going the extra mile for guests like you is absolutely no effort at all. Of course, there are so many trails that you have to come back at some stage, to hike a few more. We’ll be ready to set our alarm clocks!

We came for the Crested Butte hike, and left feeling rested and refreshed. Thank you to the incredibly hospitable staff who helped us feel welcomed and like a local. The rooms were clean and cute, beds are comfortable, and the lobby area a great place to relax and be social. The Inn is in a great location, close to town and slopes. The hot tub and fire pit are a welcomed end to the day after adventuring. Highly recommended!

This was my second time staying at the Nordic Inn. The rooms were clean and quiet. The bed was comfy. Plenty of hot water after a long day of hiking. Marco was extremely helpful and had suggestions on where to hike and local dining options. Our only regret was the breakfast...it was lacking on many levels. There were no bagels, butter or fresh fruit. They had canned sugary fruit cocktail in small containers and yogurt in filled containers ( not individually prepackaged). It was disappointing and this was on a weekend during peak season. We drank our coffee and then headed to town to get breakfast. The last time I was here, the breakfast was plentiful.

DebC - As the only hotel on the mountain serving a complementary breakfast, we strive to provide a consistently nutritious morning snack. However, in this instance, it seems that the wheels fell off. We are really sorry that our breakfast did not meet your expectations. Please accept our unreserved apologies. Thank you also for your positive review on our staff as well as cleanliness and sleep quality. On a happier note, I can report that our breakfast is once again plentiful and I hope that we will have the privilege of hosting you again soon.

I went with my wife and our furry friend last October 2021. Sydney and Adam, the people running the hotel, were very kind, welcoming and professional. The lobby of the hotel has a very cozy atmosphere! We had a problem with our room but Sydney was very understanding and customer oriented in fixing the situation. Overall our stay there was pleasant! Thanks again to Sydney and Adam!

Steve Madden…Thanks for those kind words! We are delighted and honoured that you have taken time off from your business to stay with us again. As you rightly say, the cozy ambiance of our wood burning fireplace accompanied by a glass of fine wine, takes a lot of beating. You’ll find a new world in CB when you visit in summer - all the snow covered passes are open and there are infinite trail choices through the aspen forests and panoramic views from our peaks, for those of an adventurous spirit. There is an abundance of art and music festivals as well as fun events for the whole family throughout this period. In the midst of all this activity, the Nordic Inn quietly awaits your return, an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Hasta pronto mi amigo

I really enjoyed my first trip to Crested Butte and I’m happy we stayed at Nordic Inn. The rooms were clean and quiet. The central gathering area downstairs is full of ambiance. The location is perfect for hiking. Will be back in the winter to experience Mother Nature at her finest.

We are huge fans of the area and travel there a few times a year. No matter the time of year we visit, The Nordic Inn is the place we enjoy staying. The combination of comfortable rooms, convenient location and super helpful staff make for a reliably great stay. Value for money, it's hard to beat. Really looking forward to our next visit later this month. Staying for 2 weeks!
