If you're traveling through this part of Colorado - make sure to stop for the breakfast buffet! $9/adults, $5/kids - all you can eat. Can't begin to describe the melt in your mouth pancakes! Everything was delicious and freshly cooked. Lunch was equally flavorful, filling and well priced. The gift shop is well stocked, prices are lower than the surrounding... More

Convenient location between southfork and Creede for rv. Dirt space. Full hook ups. Inexpensive for area. No private area between rvs. no tables, etc. Extremely basic. We had no phone service or Internet in Campground. Ask carefully if you bring a rig 42 or longer. Yes - space for tow vehicle. Small rv park maybe 35 spaces. Sometimes an escort... More

Check-in was simple, fast and easy, the cabin was fully equipped and rustic, exactly what I was hoping to find. The staff is very friendly and helpful, you couldn't ask for better hosts. Breakfast was hot and good and all you could eat. Being on the Rio Grande river the fishing appeared to be excellent although I didn't get a... More

Save your money and visit a different establishment. Carpeting was filthy, electrical wiring was exposed, complaints to management were not taken seriously. Rats in the cabin along with stained towels and sheets. Comforters smelled like they were moldy. Propane stove did not work properly.

Stayed here a number of years. New tenant managers were angry and hostile. Not open to complaints. The cabin was horrible. Dirty, filthy carpet. Bed smelled of urine. Bathroom was awful. Kitchen nasty. Owners should know that there staff were rude and openly hostile!

We and our grown children traveled from 3 different states to meet up at Cottonwood Cove. We reserved 2 cabins for 9 adults and 2 children. One of them, #15, was updated and very nicely appointed, but #16 was a bit more run-down. We were told that the cabins were "rustic" so we were not expecting more. Since we're all... More

Cottonwood Cove Restaurant offers a rustic, warm place to eat and enjoy your company with out distractions--the area has no cell nor wifi service. <smile> The food is well prepared by a staff that is friendly and attentive. The featured catfish was cooked perfectly--crunchy corn meal crust and soft, delicious catfish fillets. The hush puppies were obviously hand formed and... More

The staff at this resort are excellent!! We were staying elsewhere but wanted to take a trail ride. We had two fairly experienced riders, and two riders who had never ridden. We were attempting to book last minute because of an issue with another reservation. They bent over backwards to make sure that we got on a one hour trail... More

Very cute quaint space with beautiful views and friendly staff. Lots of things to do and everything close by! Quite, horseback riding, rafting, hiking, shopping, seeing the mines! I will definitely go back! It's only open during the summer so next summer I may be back!

My wife and I come to stay at cottonwood cove every year. We love the rustic charm of the resort. The setting in a grove of mature cottonwoods next to the Rio Grande river is amazing. There was a little visitor waiting to greet us. I posted a photo of him. If you want a Colorado experience that has horses,... More
