Had to go back and forth to the front desk to revalidate the room key...not working in the elevator. Requested for cutleries and waited for more than an hour. Implenting charges for extras but you need to wait for long. You need to call hundred times before they can answer your call both room service and operator. What if its an emergency and no one is answering. Poor service.
Nice place for families with kids- our children were 11 yo and below. Place is clean and well- maintained. Love the pool, playground and indoor play area for children - with social distancing protocols. Food is affordable and yummy too. Finally, the lounge is open with enough drink selection and bar chow. ❤️ My kids has so much fun. ☺️ Definitely going back soon!
Pros- fairly new hotel. the amenities are from crabtree and evelyn- verbena, which is awesome. they also give out hygiene kits. it contains alcohol, sanitizer, a pair of gloves, 2 masks and 1 small wet wipe. super nice :-) the slippers are also good. there is tea but no coffee in the room. water is also included. its the hope in a box water. the amenities are on the luxurious side :-) this is our second stay in the hotel. kudos to the following because of their great service- Camille, Jane and Maja of Magic, Kim our room attendant, Aaron, Mike from concierge, Jojo, Bellcy, Kath from reception, Clark, Hazel. Bern and Joyce from Olive restaurant especially Chef Darwin. they have a promo called gourmet staycation which includes early check in and late check out. and includes breakfast for two and option of set lunch or dinner for two as well. the talakitok was super delicious. its highly recommended and the appetizer called fried hallumi was also very yummy. the other set is bulgogi but it was super sweet and super salty. the creme brulee was very good. their coffee is a must try especially for the coffee lovers. they also encourage you to take out their coffee during breakfast and for free if you are taking the breakfast buffet. choices are cafe latte, cafe mocha, cappucino, brewed coffee, chocolate and juices. Cons- their buffet is called modified buffet. its not bad but there are not much choices. if you also book on a non peak day or weekday where there are not much guests, there is no breakfast buffet at all. you are forced to choose from their menu and tick whats in there. we did not avail this anymore. not much activities except swimming. there are only 2 restaurants which are open. the olive and the treat for cocktails. nothing much happening in this hotel. there is a casino beside it if you gamble. rude gamblers. they will run you down in front of the hotel. their security did not reprimand the guest or did anything about it. their is construction late afternoon to early evening. parking is outside so its really hot. it would be nice if they will serve full breakfast buffet and even lunch or dinner buffet so you wont have to go outside to eat. the hotel is about 3-5 kilometers away from the other restaurants. and the gourmet staycation is only good for an overnight stay. the menu is the same for the next day. so disappointed. breakfast is at 1250 not even a good spread while marriott is 1100 only and full buffet. would be ideal if they have other activities.…
Some of the staffs are not wearing their face shields properly and using it as headbands. Some guests are just wearing face masks no face shields but still allowed to check in. There is construction going on and didn’t inform us about it. Too many people in the pool area.
Stayed on 7th Floor -there’s an ongoing construction during our stay (late afternoon, which is ideal for an afternoon nap) you can here pounding and hammering upstairs -only have 1 set (tiny bottles) of shower gel/shampoo -bath robes should be requested -no available pen/pads on the desk -not Smart TV -daily refill of complimentary water is a must/ not requested -please make sure all staff are properly wearing their face shield at all times. And gloves can be considered as an additional protocol for the employees PS Jhayem (one of your poolstaff) is very nice. He took care of us during our 3d2n stay while we lounge in your pool area.
