Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Academy Hotel Colorado Springs, often appreciated for its welcoming vintage charm and cozy lobby, offers an inviting atmosphere despite some dated aspects. While the staff's friendliness is commonly acknowledged, some guests have encountered unresponsiveness and maintenance concerns. The hotel's location is praised for its convenience to local attractions, and the complimentary breakfast with made-to-order omelets is a highlight, although there are occasional Wi-Fi and pool issues. Travelers have mixed feelings about the value, cleanliness, and room condition, noting both positive points like comfortable beds and areas in need of attention.

Great hotel, beautiful pool, scenic views, great breakfast. Wonderful staff, we really appreciated the experience. The made to order omelette was amazing, the coffee was on pint. There's Keurig in the rooms if people prefer that to regular coffee. It has great amenities.

Hotel's Favorite
The room was very nice but the bed must be brand new. While I do require a stiff bed, that was a bit much even for me. The bathroom was very adequate. I did have to shut off the air/heat vent because it really was just too noisy. I stayed at the Academy last June and chose to come back because it is really right off 25 and I go south in the morning to the Olympic/Paralympic Center. I may be back in July 2023!!!! Thank You for a very nice stay!

Second time staying here. The room we were in could use an update, but overall clean, and comfortable. Very much like the in-room frig, microwave & coffee maker. Breakfast buffet is great. I would recommend adding some yogurt, granola & maybe some oatmeal. Not all of us can handle having the made to order omelets, scrambled eggs, everyday which was wonderful. As another suggestion, having actual silverware as to plastic, especially if you're dining in the evening at the grill. All in all, the location is great, the hotel is nice and the staff is friendly & helpful. We would definitely stay again

Nice appearance. Friendly staff. Our room smelled like mold and mildew. Spacious room. Housekeeping left a used bar of soap. Very gross on that aspect. Not a bad place for the price. Would rate this place higher if housekeeping was better. Hopefully the breakfast is good.

The shower had hair in it from previous guests and the nightstand was sticky, otherwise the room was clean but finding a wad of hair was not the nicest surprise to say the least. The location is very convenient though, but for the price I feel like the room should at least be clean.

I recently stayed here for a couple nights with my two boys and was actually pleasantly surprised by our experience. The hotel lobby/lounge and pool area were really nice. The Falcon bar and grill was great as well. All the employees were very attentive, House keeping was on there A game. I would deff come back and stay again not only for the above mentioned but with the price of hotels these days The Academy was deff a solid bang for your buck$

When we checked in the person at the desk told us that breakfast the next day was till 10 o'clock and it was not, and so we did not get free breakfast. We had to go spend $60 on breakfast. When I called they said oh the person just must have miss spoke. Well that cost us a lot of dollars.

My wife and I came down to Colorado Springs for the Colorado High School Bowling Foundation Tournament. Our Bowling Association reserved a block of rooms for the High School State Bowling Tournament. From the moment we walked in we were not expecting what we found. The lobby was spectacular and well designed, providing access to eating areas, secluded seating areas. Station that were set up with lemon water for customers, everything was class. The front desk was very efficient in getting us registered, very accommodating in giving us a room that fit out needs. We were taken care of by the best people. We originally book a room for 2 nights, but stayed an extra night because we want to have breakfast before hitting the road home. The room was clean and very nicely furnished. The King Size bed very comfortable. Our heating system was a window unit that was also perfect. Easy to adjust temperature, from 68 while awake to 65 while asleep. Everything was just so comfortable for us. Our room was one of the very best we have ever stayed in.

The commode didn't flush properly. The widow shade was torn on the edge and didn't open and close properly. The back parking lot could have used more lighting. Over all the hotel met our needs. We would stay at the location again should the need arrive in the future.
