Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Cheyenne Mountain Resort, a Dolce by Wyndham, boasts stunning mountain views and easy highway access, making it a popular choice for its location and variety of amenities. However, some travelers have called out the resort for its perceived lack of value and upkeep. While the festive decor and updated areas receive some praise, opinions on the atmosphere and decor are divided, with others finding them underwhelming. Guest experiences with service and room quality also vary, with reports of both professional staff and inattentiveness, alongside outdated and poorly maintained rooms.

Me and my husband stayed here for 10 days visiting family. The hotel has everything you need for a great vacation. Super breakfast buffeet with a large variety og food. Beautiful view from the restaurant and the room. The service was of high quality. When something needed to be fixed They fixed it soon. The gym was a real large gym with everything you need no matter your shape. The pool area was great for relaxing in the sun and the bubble bath was hot all days. I guess They would clean the outdoor pool area as soon as the spring arrives. I would like to come back to this hotel.

Nightmare. Service was so bad. Started with them handing map at checkin and that was it. No one around but cleaning crew to answer question. Gym sand pool about 1/4 away from hotel area. Outside pool too cold to use. Just a nightmare. It says resort, far from it. Needs customer service training for sure.

Check in was a long wait. She didn't seem to know how to navigate her computer. She finally said I had prepaid more than the 2 night room cost. So I said fine let me have the key and you can sort it out and let me know later. The room was very average. Much more like a Holiday Inn than something described as "Dolce" or "Wyndham". Hard for me to rate a place as "resort" when the only thing in the room to drink out of was the foam coffee cup. The reception and general areas were nice. The bar and bartenders were really nice. Restaurant breakfast server was very good as was the food but the wait for it was not and the restaurant was not crowded. Check out was a repeat of check in. Since there had been unknowns at check in and since I had made bar and restaurant charges I asked for a print out of the bill. The clerk was unable or unwilling to provide and said he would email it to me. I have been home for two days and have checked all emails. I still do not know what was charged to my credit card. An average rating may be a bit generous

After confirming upon check-in at the outdoor pool and hot tub, we’re open, we went out there to find the gates locked. When we went to the front desk to ask about it, they said that the security guard made the call to close it because it was dangerous and icy. I asked to speak to the security guard, and then I asked him if he had actually even been out there because I don’t know what he was seeing. He said because of the “massive amount of snow” it wasn’t safe. 3 inches. That’s how much snow there was. And while there was one staircase down to the pool that look like it could be slippery. That was only because nobody shoveled it. They were also two more entryways to the pool that were totally free of snow and ice. After arguing for half an hour and asking to speak to his supervisor, they finally agreed to open the pool for us and other families that were trying to go out there. Upon waking up, we found the gates locked again. I called the front desk and again was told it was way too icy and not safe. It was literally sunny and 47° outside. See the attached pictures of the pool at the moment they were telling us it was too icy to open it. Again, I had to go full blown Karen to get them to open it for myself, and several other families that were trying to enjoy it with their kids. It’s absolutely ridiculous that instead of spending five minute shoveling areas that could get icy they close down the entire facility. We live in Colorado. It’s winter. Having an outdoor heated pool and hot tub is the number one draw from many families coming here. The fact that they do absolutely nothing to mitigate the snow and instead just close it at the slightest dusting blows my mind. These pictures are what they consider too dangerous and icy to open. I’ll never come here again in the winter. Look at these pictures of the “massive” amount of snow that made it an unsafe environment

OMG, We had a 6Day stay on the resort and when I say I have nothing but amazing things to say! Let’s just start with the beautiful breath taking mountain views and the up keep of the resort and rooms meet up to our expectations! The staff was outstanding throughout our entire stay!! We ate breakfast every morning and thanks to Dallas my order was wrong and he made sure I got it corrected immediately!! Not only that he gave us pointers on some things to do and some places to go as well as Olga and Nikita the waitresses!! Oh man did we enjoy ourselves and look forward to another great stay at Cheyenne Resort. Let me add that we moved rooms and I left my hooded blanket in the first room we were in, thanks to the Housekeeping manager they were able to locate it and mailed it to my home I received it last week!! What an outstanding performance to make sure the guest was taken care of!!! Thanks again to the wonderful staff at the resort we will see you all again.

Loved this place. Everything was great from check in to check out. Breakfast was amazing, dinner was amazing. I had the burger and one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Dallas, the manager, at the restaurant was exceptionally professional and kind. He asked me where I was from, made great recommendations for the restaurant and local things to do, just made me feel very welcome. A+ employee.

We only stayed one night, but we were very impressed. Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly. The rooms were older, but well taken care of. The room was spacious and clean. The pools were still open and the family really enjoyed it. Breakfast was great and the view was definitely picturesque.

We had a wonderful time at the resort. Everything was expensive as far as the food and drinks went, but was good. My only problem was I didn’t get on the same floor as my daughter. I had been promised I would be when I talked to the front desk two days before.. our room was great. Had a beautiful view. We used the hot tub and the pool outdoors. My daughter went to the gym every day. It was easy to get to the lodge from our room. We had the option of doing it from outside or walking through the hallways I would stay again.

Resort has lots to offer for active guests. I especially appreciate the lap pool. Better to stay when weather is warmer to use outdoor recreation. Room was ok. Would have preferred a non handicap room. Don’t understand why you have to “up-grade” in order to have one, when your guest does not require those specifics. Would have preferred a non handicap shower. Ate at the 1 restaurant available. Food arrived cold, then had to wait even longer for kitchen to remake it? Makes you lose your appetite.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The property itself is very pretty and well laid out. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the people the floor above us sounded like a herd of elephants until well past midnight, and then the entire morning. It really detracted from the experience (and sleep!). We had a lovely lunch at Elevations and our server James was super helpful with his many suggestions. We had some time to waste, and James was very accommodating as we spent a few hours in his care. Alexia at the front desk was also helpful with our room and checking for available upgrades. We'll be back, but I will complain to the front desk next time if we have the same noise issues.
