Our family enjoyed to pool area in the associated country club, scenic private balcony, taking walks in the hilly neighborhood and convenient location to base out of. The room was nice, but lacked for space so it was a bit tight for a family of four. No dressers or microwave, but at least there was a decent refrigerator. Housekeeping was always very responsive to drop off extra towels or coffee given the reduced room cleaning for Covid. They did come in daily for a quick service to make the beds and pick up trash which was nice. Was about right for the late summer 30% discount rate, but I would not pay full price for this resort.

Our stay at this resort was very pleasant. The views are breathtaking. We were the lucky ones to have rather spirited wall neighbors on our first night. The resort was very accommodating sending a security guard over to settle things down. As predicted this did not resolve the issue. Which resulted in us moving to a new room. The resort went above and beyond allowing us to move into another available room very far from our neighbors. We still managed to hold onto our amazing view. While we did enjoy ourselves there are a few things the resort could work on.

First being the dishes and garbage. We understand the restaurant is not open and they offer room service (for a rather large markup). Yet they need to send someone around to collect the dishes. (Guests are asked to leave their dishes outside of their doors). We noticed the dishes are left there for days before someone addresses them. Which results in any uneaten food being devoured and scattered by wildlife.

This is also true regarding the trash receptacles. It would be nice if there were more receptacles around the property. If you are particular such as myself and prefer to not have housekeeping clean your room daily, it would be nice if there were more receptacles I could drop our room garbage in. The receptacles they have now fill quickly (because other guests had the same idea as I did and wanted to take out their own garbage). One morning there was a full receptacle with scattered food and garbage everywhere from wildlife the night before.

While the rooms were clean... they could do a better job with the carpet. I would prefer hard floors over stained carpet. I do understand keeping carpets clean are not an easy process. Yet with the price you pay to stay here having large stains on the carpet are a turn off.

Lastly (and this I feel applies to all resorts/hotels) it would be nice if they would pay closer attention to burnt out lights. Our first room had several burnt out lights including one in the bathroom which made showering a dark experience.

We booked our trip based on photos and a good deal and THEN read Negative reviews. Oops. Our experience though was great. The rooms were clean, as were the public spaces. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and most of the amenities were available except one restaurant (buffet style).
We had dinner at both and Gates Grille and Lounge and were completely satisfied with the food and service. Everyone was practicing appropriate Covid protocols and the tables were spaced out.
Our room was freshened every day that we were out and about - though we expected that any room service was by request only.
The only complaint about the room would be the temperature control. Never could get the temp below 70 without having the balcony door open (it was snowing!)
We did play golf at the resort course - little pricey for the experience. For the same price you can find some more “mountain “ type golf with more challenge and better views.
Overall and great experience and we would easily choose this resort again.

Stayed here for 5 days. At the time of booking, there was no indication of a $50 per day incidentals charge on my credit card. Called ahead to ask about limitations due to coronavirus and was told that the pool would require reservations, and that there were limited services for food. went to check in on the first day and they informed me they would be adding $200 charges for incidentals to my credit card and if I didn't use the $200 amount, at the end of my stay they would refund it. This was not divulged at the time of booking or when I called regarding my reservation. I later found it tucked into the end of the resort policies that is only listed as a link on my reservation confirmation at the very bottom. They went through an entire spiel about all of the amenities they offered at check-in, but failed to mention that we would have to call and request items such as toilet paper, towels, coffee pods, trash removal. we didn't find out that there would be no housekeeping until the second day when the room wasn't cleaned and I called down asking questions. they also told me that there were no robes in the room when I called asking about it on the first day, due to covid.they told me that because of Corona virus that they couldn't provide robes that they could prove they had cleaned, so they were no longer offering them. my question is, how were they proving that they were even cleaning our towels then? Also, with all of the Corona virus cleaning hype they advertised on their website, the day we checked in I walked out to our balcony to find a nearly full already opened beer can left by the previous inhabitant. they can't have been that diligent about cleaning if that was still left behind. would not stay again for the price I paid, unless they were willing to discount it to make up for the fact that most of the services they offer for that nightly rate were not actually available and we're not disclosed at the time of me calling, reserving online, or checking in. Classic bait and switch. The adult pool was nice, and the outdoor seating was nice as well. Good views of the mountain ranges.

Thank you for your feedback and for being our guest. We apologize that your stay did not meet your expectations, and that miscommunication impacted your experience. We will speak with our team on how to better communicate. Most of our amenities are available, and any unavailable amenities are listed on our website. We are thoroughly cleaning rooms between stays, to include fogging with a disinfectant before and after an attendant cleans the room. In-room service for extended stays is on request only, and guests must vacate the room for a minimum of 4 hours to limit the contact our associates have with guests. Bathrobes are currently unavailable to reduce the load of laundry to compensate for extended cleaning procedures. We will pass on your concerns so that we can review our policies and improve the guest experience.

We had previously planned to stay in Denver on our vacation, but didn’t realize there had been riots there that had destroyed both the capital building and a large portion of the shops and restaurants on the 16th Street Mall. Hard Rock Cafe was one of our scheduled stops, but had every window smashed and was boarded up and closed like many, many others. It was heartbreaking. We felt a safer and more relaxed atmosphere was necessary, so we traveled to Colorado Springs. We felt so fortunate to have found Cheyenne Mountain Resort! It’s just beautiful and the staff is warm and welcoming. There aren’t housekeeping services during your stay, to protect the staff in the wake of the pandemic, but they still make sure you are well taken care of. Fresh towels, coffee, etc are delivered almost immediately and dirty linens and trash are picked up outside your door. Each room has a balcony, and we were given a choice of views which were breathtaking! Deer roamed freely in the area and we watched a family of rabbits playing in the early morning hours. The mountains reflect off of the pond where you can canoe, paddleboat or kayak, which is included in the price. There are also a lot of sights to see and things to do in the area. It had a bumpy start, but thanks to Cheyenne Mountain Resort, it turned out perfectly!

I book a Presidential Suite, then drive my family 10 hours and arrive the Cheyenne Mountain resort at 2:00 pm on a Tuesday, the day of our reservation. Once arriving, road worn and excited to check in to the suite, we were told that the suite I had booked (and was charged a deposit for $900) was no longer available. They were making repairs to it and, "it should not have been sold to you". I was offered two normal rooms at full price and then reminded that, "you know check-in is at 4:00, right?". Ok.
The next night, we were moved to a Suite but it was an actual downgrade. After another long day, due to COVID, we decided to order some food in. The room had an 8 person table and a kitchen. Once the food arrived (Uber Eats) we realized that all of the drawers in the kitchen were empty! Then once we asked for silverware to be brought up, we were told, "we usually charge for that". So, I pay $800 a night for a room and have to pay for silverware? Ok.
Then we noticed it was hot in the room. AC set on 65, room temp 74. Multiple requests for a maintenance man to come by ended up scoring us a box fan. Then I was saddened to hear from my kids that their restroom toilets were not flushing properly. This issue was never addressed. So we figured the room was a loss, and decided to take advantage of the beautiful lake. We all love to kayak so we thought it would be fun to head down to the beach. We arrive to find a long line of disgruntled humans by the shack where you get paddles and life vests. It didn't take long to see why. The worker there was ignoring everyone and looking on her phone. People were asking when she would open and she would not even reply. My wife walked right up to her and said, "Hi"...she just walked right by her. The employee then literally walked off. She walked up to the concession stand. We all stood there dumbfounded. The worker eventually came back after a snack and begrudgingly handed out some of the saddest life jackets leftover from the 80's. The kayak we got had a leak and we were taking on water. Regardless of all this, we managed to have a good time in the Springs. My advice is save your money and stay at a Hampton Inn.

Thank for your feedback and for being our guest. It is unfortunate that your stay did not meet expectations. It seems likely that there was a miscommunication between the system that takes reservations, and the system we use to check people in and out. We apologize about the mix-up upon arrival. We will certainly pass on your concerns regarding in-room silverware, the A/C in your rooms, and the inappropriate behavior of the staff member at the Aquatics Center. We hope that we may have another opportunity in the future to provide the experience you should have had.

Hotel Staff not very friendly. Anytime I made a call for service, I felt like I was really bothering the staff. The entire "resort" is outdated. "Service" throughout the Resort is terrible. We had to be moved the first night at 8:30 PM to another building because of loud people above us and the very large dog barking in the next room. If you're interested in using a microwave, it's an additional $20! The door to the new room had a 1 inch gap at the bottom. The outdated AC made a ticking noise all night. Food ordered by another guest next to us remained outside their door for the entire day. I would really think twice about staying at this "Resort". Other guests suggested not calling for service to the Pool They said it was quicker to get your own drinks/food. I took my Daughter to "Elevations" for her Birthday dinner since the Main Restaurant (Mountain View) was closed, and upon entering selected a table that could accommodate my ankle injury. However, the table was dirty. I asked Sarah to please clean the table and to wait to put the silverware and menus on the table until after it was cleaned. She ignored the request and placed all the items on the table before cleaning. It was very evident my request to clean the table really upset her. After cleaning the table, Sarah placed the menus and napkins on the wet table that was not cleaned properly. This was concerning to me because of COVID. I thought it was still a priority to clean per the CDC recommendations. We also asked for "spoons" for the Queso dip we ordered and was told by Sarah they didn't have any spoons.

Unfortunately, I think this resort is going downhill and not up to the high standards it use to be. We have stayed here several times, but this time many things have changed. Our balcony overlooked the building next to us and there were cracks and pieces coming apart, it was not a good view. Online and everywhere it states to wear masks in public areas and outdoor if social distancing you did not have to wear one. Maybe 50% did not adhere to this, that was disappointing. If some are going to follow rules, then all should otherwise it defeats the purpose . Also the main restaurant is closed due to it being mostly a buffet, then shouldn't they change it to not buffet? On Mon/Tues no way to eat breakfast or lunch unless room service but that is minimal and they charge a delivery fee which with no other option why charge delivery fee. There is a restaurant at the Golf Course but only Wed-Sun. The bar in the lobby opens at 3:00pm. The pool was suppose to be cleaned in between reservations but when we went it wasn't. The organization on where to watch Fireworks was terrible, many staff said we can watch from the patios since our balcony was facing another building but when we went to watch there a gentleman said we could not because they didn't want too many people so they weren't letting anyone. They need to communicate better. All in all, my kids were dissapointed and my husband and I were as well and we may spend the extra money next time to just stay at the Broadmoor, sad that our era of going to a smaller resort is ending.

This is NOT The Broadmoor. Broadmoor was full and this was supposedly the next best thing in town. These are my least favorite kind of “resorts”. It is located in a residential area with privileges to the country club next door, kind of feels like you are staying at your cousins apartment and are a guest at their athletic club. Property is in much need of maintenance. Whole place looks like family summer camp. Grounds are poorly maintained, dead grass, weird over grown garden patch, and desperately needs painted. There was a loose board on our patio that could potentially be danger for a child or pet to fall through from the 3rd floor. We declined housekeeping as they didn’t come until 4:30pm and room service trays were outside adjacent rooms for a full day. Beware the “water sports” offered are on a tiny golf course pond. The only staff we interacted with was the front desk and they were very helpful and nice. Overall, would not recommend this resort.

Let me start out by saying that this is a special moment for me, because I have never written a negative review on any kind of business online, so this is a first:

We had planned to stay at the Broadmoor Hotel, but since it was all booked out, we decided to give Cheyenne Mountain Resort a shot. Big mistake. For over $200 a night and a "4-star" hotel, we figured it would be a good enough experience to make the drive from Dallas.

We stayed there 5 nights, and housekeeping came by to clean the room once. I would call the front desk every morning at 8:00am to request housekeeping to come tidy up the room, and only once did they come mid-morning like they were supposed to. Housekeeping did come by two other times, but at 6:45 PM when our baby was already asleep.

I found myself tracking down the housekeepers to get things like towels, toilet papers, and trash bags, so I could clean up my own freaking trash and leave it outside the door. Once housekeeper told me that they are short staffed, so they have to clean the rooms for the new arrivals first, then get to the rest later. I guess by later they mean around 7:00 pm.

At checkout today, I explained the housekeeping issue to the front desk, and she explained that they were using some third party company that is short staffed. She asked if I called to request housekeeping each day. I explained to her that I called to request it until I was blue in the face, and most importantly that a supposedly "4-star" hotel that charges over $200 a night shouldn't require this much of my energy to have my room cleaned.

So if you like paying to make your own bed, track down your own towels and toilet paper, and taking out your own trash, then stay here. Or, just go camping and save your money.
