The Glen Eyrie Castle always appeared beautiful and well kept, from what we could see. We visited the book store a few times, and were able to walk the grounds when weddings were taking place. My mother-in-law won a stay at the castle, and offered the stay to us as a gift. We were excited because of how beautiful we...

Thank you for taking the time to give such specific feedback. I hear your concerns and concur with some of your suggestions. We are in the process of a systematic renovation of the castle—and are excited about the finished upgrades we have already completed! The castle was built by the founder of Colorado Springs, and offers all the historic ambiance you'd expect if you were his guest at the turn of the last century. The staff was excellent, the grounds beautiful and the castle room very comfortable. If you are addicted to TV, you might undergo withdrawal, but the overall atmosphere was so relaxing...

I'd heard about this place for years, but first time visit still blew me away. We were treated to three nights in the "Pink House" so I can't tell you the cost, but when the full buffet meals were only $20 a head, I think it would be great value! So, scenery, location ambiance, serenity..this place has got it all,...

If you are looking for the latest in creature comforts, this is not your place. If you are looking for peace, quiet, inspiration, hiking on site, and incomparable beauty on the grounds, then this historic property may be just the right fit. The prices are a bargain when you consider the excellent breakfast buffet that is included in the tariff....

All of the buildings are old and some are certainly more elegant than others. The grounds are so beautiful, every time I go I wish I could stay longer. I have stayed overnight in three different buildings and done the tour several times, but the tea only once. This is one of my favorite places to take out of town...

My wife and I attended the Marriage Get Away seminar with 14 other couples. We stayed in the "General Palmer's" room, and we're treated like "king and queen", with the breakfast in bed. The foods were superb; and the staffs were excellent. The castle tour made us appreciate more about the place and the people who built and lived there...

Stayed in the top room of the castle and had a real nice experience. Did the tour and learned about General Palmer and his family and the history around the castle. Highly recommend a visit and an overnight if possible. Dan and Phyllis Denver, CO

Went with my boyfriend on our 2 year anniversary and stayed in one of the lodges on the castle grounds. The price was very reasonable for the area and what was offered, $119.50 with taxes. The lodge felt a bit more like a convention center as there was some religious youth event going on there. It was different but I...

The castle itself is amazing. The grounds are breathtaking and the castle as a whole is well kept and rich in history. We stayed in a deluxe room and though we seemed to be one of very few in the castle, our room was somewhat lacking in comfort. One problem was that our room was tucked away in what seemed...

For just a little more than the price of a chain hotel room, this stay in the castle (with breakfast included) was definitely worth it. The property is on the edge of the Garden of the Gods, and the views are breathtaking. The castle itself and the rooms are beautiful and full of history.
