We stayed here the second week of October. Scott D. set our family up in an amazing 2 bedroom suite. Perfect place for a family, separate rooms and a living room in between. Rooms were clean and nice. Beds were comfortable and our kids -loved- it! Scott goes out of his way to make your stay amazing, whether its fresh baked cookies for the kids or his expertise on fun things to do in the area. You couldn't ask for a better person to run the place! This hotel if just off I25 but far enough away that traffic noise was not an issue. Pool/Hot tub were opened still and the main lobby/dining area was always staffed and had things to eat! Natalie at the front desk has an awesome personality and made us feel right at home. Tons of restaurants and attracts within minutes of this place. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for outstanding service and great rooms.

Scott calls me on the phone, while out at dinner - says a patron witnessed my parked Jeep Wrangler being hit by another Jeep Cherokee. Scott says he took the information, wrote down the details that I needed and when I get back to check in with him to settle things. Walking back through the parking lot, the poor lady who hit my Jeep had left a note on the windshield and was profusely apologetic. The Jeep is a stout vehicle 4 inch lift, heavy bumpers, the license plate was about all that was damaged - her Jeep - well more damage than you would want. Scott, the patron, and the lady who now has to deal with more than I do = Amazing kindness and consideration. Makes me have a ton of faith in humanity! Scott / General Manager is outstanding! Thank you RM 311 for being considerate as well.

I was going to just not review this place, but new information came to light today and now I will. We had stuff stolen from a storage closet and management already knew there was a problem. The Good: Staff were all very nice and there is a nice view from the patio. The Bad: Housekeeping is seriously sub par. The vents in the rooms are covered in a thick layer of dust. Over the course of our 45 day stay we had 3 different rooms. The first had such a strong smell it gave me a headache and the couch was stained. I complained about the smell and was told they were aware, we moved and they filled that room the next night. The second room didn’t smell but the furniture was filthy. The chair looked like it was pulled from a dumpster and the couch sagged so bad in the middle that the cushions were at a V angle. It was ridiculous. We told them we were moving to a different hotel for the remainder of our long stay and they offered us a 2 bedroom suite. It was cleaner than the previous 2 rooms, but still not as clean as a hotel at this price point should be. Our window didn’t close all the way. The back door on the bottom floor had a lock that was broken more often than not. This is even more of a problem when you consider that they lock the front door at 9pm because of a bear problem. The stairwell closest to the elevator smelled like vomit the entire time we were there. The Ugly: Whatever you do, don’t use the storage closets. They have recurring problem with someone breaking the locks and stealing stuff. We lost all of our luggage as well as some other stuff. They know this is a problem and they still don’t put cameras on those areas. Did I sign a waiver when I got a key for the closet? Yes. Should management have warned me they had a problem? Definitely YES! They didn’t even let me know after another guest discovered a week(or more) before I did that their locker had been emptied. At that point they should have looked in their book and contacted anyone who had a locker. That they chose not to do that tells you everything you need to know about management at this property. We should have moved to the Homewood Suites. It’s just up the road, YOU can still make another choice.

Our family goes to Colorado Springs nearly every summer and we always stay at the Staybridge. The view from the back deck can’t be beat and the location is great. And when they can offer the normal breakfast and morning meals (when we’re not in the middle of a pandemic), the food is a big bonus! We normally never have any issues, but on our recent stay, we ended up in a room that would not cool off. After contacting the front desk, Scott immediately helped us find a new room that was plenty cool. We were very pleased with how staff were handling COVID precautions. If you’re looking for a great place to stay in Colorado Springs, our family highly recommends the Staybridge Suites.
