We are a family-owned, vintage hotel with a western theme. The Buff is your base camp for adventure and a great place to relax after a long day hiking, biking and exploring the sites of the Pikes Peak region. Located on a popular designated bike route connecting Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs, we are in close proximity to countless miles of biking and hiking trails at the base of Pikes Peak, and are less than a mile from the majestic Garden of the Gods Park, voted the #1 Park in the U.S. and #2 in the world on Trip Advisor. Our rooms currently are nothing fancy. We purchased the property in June 2016 and are working to renovate. Our first suite renovation to a bicycle-themed, bicycle-friendly, group suite that sleeps 5 - 11 people with a kitchen, family room and private yard is now complete and available to rent. Other rooms sleep from 1 - 6 people and range from $75 for a single Queen to $145 for group suites with kitchens and $159 for our king hot tub suites.

If you’re looking for a place to stay near “Garden of the Gods” or just a quick nights rest. Buffalo Lodge is definitely a place to spend your money. It’s quiet, staff are super friendly, owner Tori is hands on, and the rooms are comfy!

Happened to be there on a night they were having free live music and a food truck. Had a great time with Whiskey Kate from Nashville playing, she continued to play by the fire pit and hang out after her show. Stayed in one of the bicycle themed renovated rooms which was cozy, clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable about the area. Enjoyed happy hour at the bar and being able to take drinks over to the pool area. A true slice of Colorado History ,the lodge celebrates a 100 years this year. Its a big property would be great for summer family reunions, partys, concerts or even weddings. Love the spin Torie and her family are putting and appreciate all of their efforts to save this iconic place. If you like to support family run small businesses and places with character this is your spot! They will instantly make you feel like part of the family.

We arrived late on a Thursday to a dingy, musty smelling older fairly run down room. It was late and we were tired so we decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. Friday morning while drying off from my shower I noticed the towels were dirty. We were in a hurry to get to events at USAFA so we didn’t have time to deal with the towels on Friday morning. The office was closed by the time we returned and not yet open when we left on Sat morning. Then Sunday morning the toilet broke and started leaking everywhere out the bottom. The staff was ridiculous in dealing with that issue (gave me towels to clean it and told us we had to vacate until after 3pm so it could be fixed (this was at 8am) so I tried to check out. They talked us into staying and moving us into a king suite that we could move to by 11am (we had to wait for them to clean it). We were headed off for a bike ride so killing a few hours would be ok as long as we could get back into a room and shower. So, we had to load everything out to our vehicle for a few hours then move to the suite after our ride. When we returned, hot and sweaty from the bike ride I immediately went for a shower. Only to find the new upgraded suite’s shower had NO nozzle for the water. Mind you this was the room we just waited hours to be cleaned! I’d really like to know who the heck cleans a bathroom without the water?!?! That was the final straw, we checked out. Then they would not refund us for the night we did not stay and brushed us off to Expedia to deal with the refund. The whole experience was one disaster after another. The sad part is the staff was completely unphased. This place has a lot of potential but it needs a lot of work and new management.

In town for work and looking for a fun place to stay and ride bikes. The concept is great but it needs work. Also didn’t really feel it was that great of a location for cycling. Smelled of mildew and very basic. Stove in kitchen didn’t work and toilet didn’t flush well. Cheaper than other places but really was equivalent to a $75 room and we paid double that. Too many places in the area to stay here again. If you’re looking for real basic this will work, if you want something more comfortable with more amenities I’d recommend something else.
