Great location, and extremely clean!!! I am very particular and this met and exceeded my expectations. Very comfortable for sleeping. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a good variety, something for everyone.

No microwave in the room a downside and the bathroom was extremely small. Overall stay was fine. Have stayed at much nicer Hyatt’s in the past. Also, no direct access from service road off the highway.

Even though this hotel is a Hyatt, as far as the layout is concerned, I would compare it to similar Fairfield Inns, Holiday Inn Expresses and La Quinta Inn and Suites. Possibly a 3 1/2 star hotel from our experience. My wife and I,son (19) and daughter (10) stayed for 5 nights in early June. We booked the mountain view room on the fourth floor, room 421. The cost was around $145 a night with taxes for the room, check-in Sunday check-out Friday. Total cost with breakfast included: $810 (About $162 per day. Remember, this is when the city starts getting busy. The prices were higher for later weeks and lower for May). The view of Pikes Peak and surrounding areas was very nice, better than I expected. The summit of Pikes Peak is approximately 12 miles away, so don't expect a close up view of the mountain as if you were in Pikes National Forest only a few miles away from the summit. The downside of the room is that there are only 3 drawers located in the bathroom area and a small closet, so not much storage room to put 5 days worth of clothes away for 4 people. The bathroom sink is located on the outside of the toilet and shower right in front of the beds, while convenient, the space in the toilet and shower area is very small and makes changing clothes a bit of a task. Also the noise of someone using the sink and getting ready may be a nuisance for those who are still sleeping since the sink area is right by the beds. Ok for couples, but not a whole family. I prefer a larger, separate bathroom with a door to close to keep the noise down. There is no microwave in the room, but you can request one, as well as a box fan. There is also a sink on the counter and desk. The TV looks to have no show guide so you have no idea what is on unless you look it up online. The time in between changing the channels was too long and when the weather was bad one afternoon the service kept getting interrupted. The internet service was very poor at times during our stay where we couldn't stream Netflix or You Tube without an interruption or buffering, and web browsing was so slow til I just decided used my phone as a hot spot the rest of the stay. We had a problem with the Air Conditioner staying on but when we reported the issue it was handled immediately. The fitness center had enough equipment to where I didn't need to go to a near by gym. Although some of the machines are a little old, they get the job done. There where plenty of towels and water as well. The breakfast was nice. If anyone is complaining about the breakfast then they must be expecting 4 to 5 star menu. Their breakfast was far better than most Holiday Inn Expresses or La Quinta Inns breakfast. They mixed up the food, each day. Plenty of fruits, cereals, different milks and juices. And they kept it coming. Just remember that you must be a member to receive the free breakfast at the time of this review. The pool was heated so even when the temps were chilly in the evening, the water was warm. As far as the parking lot is concerned, there is a security guard that walks the parking lots and hotel at night. We never felt that our vehicle was in any danger, although we did park our vehicle in view from our window every night. We never noticed the noise from the freeway on our side of the building, and we ran a fan at night. There are plenty of places to eat in the area, a liquor store and grocery store (Safeway) near by as well as a couple of good car washes and gas stations. Garden of the Gods is about 3 miles away. If you need to turn left from the hotel on Garden of the Gods road the traffic can make it difficult at times. What we did is cut through the Quality Inn and Chick-Fil-A parking lot to turn left at the light. Way easier. For the most part, we enjoyed our stay, although if I brought my family to Colorado Springs again, I would not stay here due to the limited storage space in the room and the small toilet and shower area and the slow internet. If it was just my wife and I, we would definitely stay here again, no questions asked as I think the rooms are better fitted for couples and not families.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights, May 31st through June 5th. Check in time is at three so when we got there at 1:20 ish we didn't expect it to be ready necessarily but figured we would check. It wasn't so we were told we would get a text when it was. Well, check in time is at 3pm so we thought surely it was ready when we got back at 3:30. It still wasn't and we had to wait in the lobby longer. I believe they ended up moving us to a different room altogether. No big deal, but don't make excuses about having a lot of check outs that day, I would have rather just heard "We're sorry for the delay." That many check outs means you need to schedule better. Front desk seemed polite enough every time we spoke to them. We called down for more pillows one night, but after an hour we put the do not disturb sign on the door and went to bed. We got them the next day from a different front desk associate. Breakfast is $9 if it's not included in your stay. I don't know that I would say it's worth that, but I also don't know the nearest economical choice either. So for the price you can decide. There were cold cereals, assorted milks, juices, coffee, tea, oatmeal greek yogurt, fruit, toppings for the oatmeal or yogurt and the hot dishes rotated. Bacon, sausages, eggs, barbacoa hash (?), churro bread pudding, cinnamon chip waffle quarters, pancakes. Breakfast on the weekends is 7 to 10 and the weekdays is 6:30 to 9:30. However, I will say, this morning we noticed that the staff were completely overwhelmed possibly from a meeting going on at the hotel. Dishware had ran out, eggs ran out after me and many people still came down after me. A gentleman had to request more be made (and it was only nearing 9am at that point.) Coffee did get replenished frequently. The staff started to clear serving utensils from the breakfast bar and it was definitely before 9:30. We got to our room at 9:20. Maybe we had the times mixed up... Cleanliness- a cleaning rag was left in our room one day. This morning I noticed a spot on our toilet on the underside the was a not so pleasant substance... I mentioned it to my boyfriend and he said it had been there the entire time. Had it not been our check out morning I would have left a note to make sure the stool was cleaned better. Little things like that as well as some sort of goo on the wall near the toilet paper roll... I just would assume when cleaning staff changes toilet paper rolls they are literally right there and have to see the mark. I'm notorious for cleaning at AirBnB's but I won't do it at a hotel. If we had to stay here again we would. Did overhear some other issue that other guests had like a broken shower head etc.

They switched me to a handicap accessible room without telling me. The bathroom sink had absolutely zero counter space which I use to unpack my toiletries. I was charged $133 for a room and did not even get a free breakfast. Nothing so special about Hyatt that will make me choose them again.
