Very friendly people, breakfast is at 8 am with all guest sitting around a very large table that has been set. Each breakfast starts with a nice bowl of fruit, breakfast soufflé, and a breakfast desert. Plenty of coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Rooms are somewhat old-fashion but relaxing. No TV or radio, wifi is okay. Close to Old Colorado Springs.... More

On our way to Yellowstone National Park, my husband and I booked two nights at Spurs and Lace based on the reviews that had been written. What a wonderful treat it was. Arlene was the best hostess ever. After driving from Texas for 12 hours, she greeted us with a smile even though we arrived late in the afternoon. After... More

This was our first time staying in a B&B. It was phenomenal. Arlene the innkeeper is wonderful. She's so warm and welcoming. She grew up in Colorado Springs/ Colorado City so she knows a lot of the history. Everything was nice and clean. Breakfast was delicious, 3 courses, coffee, tea, orange juice. Just like grandmas house. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE... More

After reading the reviews, we learned that thr B&B was sold 1/1/16 to a new owner who has made numerous changes to imp, grove both the physical condition and customer care aspects of the B&B. Reviews made prior to 1/1/16 should be disregarded. We had a very pleasant stay and plan to use this B&B when we return to Colorado springs

We stayed at the Sunflower Room which was located on the ground floor, close to the front entrance. One could hear small walks from above but it was not bad at all. We were already too tired from our hikes and didn't pay much attention to the noises in the house. The innkeeper Arlene was very enjoyable, pleasant and kind.... More

We stayed at this inn in June. We originally booked for two nights but left after one night since the bed was so uncomfortable. We stayed in the Rose room which was crowded. The two swivel rockers have seen better days, ie, lean to one side or the other. The breakfast was okay but two guests had eggs that were... More

We stayed on the first floor in the sunflower room. We couldn't sleep because of all the floor noise from above us--almost constant floor creaking kept us awake--even with the window unit A/C turned on. Everything seemed clean but out of date and worn. We paid for two nights but only stayed one night. Just not a good situation for... More

We started our vacation in the Pikes Peak/Colorado Springs area. Unfortunately, our stay at Spurs and Lace was only one night. How sad I was to leave the morning after arriving. The home is lovely, quaint, and inviting, as are the owner, Arlene, and her assistant, Jessica. I only wish we had more time to sit and talk with them... More

The owner is a great storyteller and the assistant manager is a wonderful cook. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are thinking about planning another trip to this beautiful little B&B. The location is perfect... and the atmosphere takes you back in time. It is walking distance to local restaurants and shops.

My husband and I stayed here 4 nights. We had the room at top of stairs on corner, with 2 windows, ceiling fan, and small air conditioner, (which we never turned on.) Our room had a private bathroom, huge tub/shower, queen bed, 2 comfy chairs, dresser, and bedside tables. The room didn't have a closet. The room was pretty small... More
