Perfect location for birthday vacation. Jenny was very welcoming and incredibly helpful. Setting was quite peaceful. The children and dogs really enjoyed having the river trail so close by. Will absolutely be returning.

Tori was our guide and she was great. Nice ride through the mountain trail. Very relaxing. Horses, we rode Knight and Hawk, were well trained and sure footed. We felt very safe at all times even thought the trail was challenging and fun. We didn't stay there but it looked like it would be fun.

My wife Tina and I had the best trail ride ever. Tori was our guide and she really knew what she was doing. Our horse's were perfect for us. Lunch by a creek was wonderful even watching the brown trout. We both highly recommend calling and booking your next ride with Becky.

We have been on many many vacations and I never felt an urge to write a review until we spent some time at the Elk River Guest Ranch (ERGR). We cannot express enough how excellent this ranch is. Every single detail was looked after with the guest in mind. Bex is the most genuine kind person you could meet and her staff truly go out of their way to provide you anything you need. We are from Ontario and wanted a true horse ranch experience and we got it. The Accommodations: Our cabin was really comfortable and clean. We were happily surprised that we got fresh towels and garbage's emptied everyday. The cabins are a stone throw from everything at the ranch. The food: Susan cooked us delicious meals 3 times a day. From pasta to steak for dinner, salads and sandwiches for lunch and bacon and eggs to breakfast burritos for breaky. Jacqueline our server was so friendly and kind. The Horses: The horses were beautiful and very well looked after. We were given our own horse for the entire time which was great for bonding with your horse. Great Job Big Bill and Kisses and Hugs to Pippin. The Wranglers: This group of young, energetic and enthusiastic people are world class. Great Big Shoutout to Tori, Kate, Luke and Tricia, you guys really made our rides safe, entertaining and educational. Brigitte and I wish you all the best, You Guys Are Great. The Rides: The rides were spectacular from a scenic standpoint. They were designed for all levels of riders. While we were there rides lasted from 1 hr to 4-5 hrs always what the guest wanted. Stuff to do: We also went fly fishing, kayaking, played horseshoes, had campfires, even had a country singer come in and sing for us. They even have WIFI which was a real surprise. We also got to spend a little time in the nearby Steamboat Springs Ski/Golf town...very cool. The Scenery: Colorado Mountains enough said. The Elk River is across the street were you can walk, hike or just relax with chairs and hammock setup. As I mentioned in the beginning, I don't normally leave reviews but you will not be disappointed in the Elk River Guest Ranch. Thank's Y'all once again for a wonderful stay.

The beauty of Elk River Ranch starts with Bex and her amazing experienced staff. They truly exlemplify what family and values and caring are all about. The property is prestine from the cabins to the common areas to the paddocks.Their horses are very well taken care of and you can tell they feel safe and happy in there home there. The riding is amazing and the ranch cateres to all riding abilities, from beginners to advanced. There are truly many different scenic rides for every riding ability. Did I mention the horses are amazing, the senary is majestic and lets not forget about the abundant delicious food, the campfires at night and the Elk River which is a stones throw from your cabin. If you are looking for an "experience" rather than just a vacation than you will find it at Elk River Ranch! Kathleen from Rhode Island
