My buddy and I were originally trying to find something a little closer to Denver last minute and we came to find out everything was booked. We stumbled onto this great place called The Cabins at Historic Columbine and WHAT A FIND! We were in the Moose Cabin and when we walked in we're looking for the bathroom and what we didn't know when we booked it there was no private bathroom in the cabin. But, not to worry the main lodge that had the bathrooms, showers etc... were extremely clean and followed all covid protocols. We felt 100% comfortable. A lot of the cabins do have their own baths which is good to know for the next time. Our cabin had a separate bedroom and full kitchen with a great front porch , a bird;s eye view of Hahn's Peak. The entire property is so clean and well kept, nestled in a forest of aspens. Only 1.5 miles to the turn off to Hahn's Peak Lake where we put our kayaks in and caught an abundance of trout that we cooked up on the very clean BBQ on porch. I also want to mention the caretakers of the property Scott and Emily. They were so helpful and friendly with a wealth of information on the local area. I will be going back for the fall colors. See you there!

My sister-in-law, my dog, and I stayed in the Honeymoon cabin, and it was absolutely wonderful. It had all the necessities of a kitchen, a nice grill, wood stove, heater, bed, and a kitchen table. We loved to sit on the front porch and watch the birds and look at the mountains in the distance. They are very pet friendly! The shower house was extremely clean and well stocked with wash cloths and bath mats (the towels are in the cabin). The neighbors were all very respectful and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

One of Colorado's best secrets! Affordable, historic, pristine, well-maintained. Enjoy the night in a log cabin. Light a fire in the wood stove. Enjoy the national Forest. Enjoy honest hospitality. Go snowshoeing or enjoy a hot spring close by.

We've come here for years, and the snow has never let us down for cross-country skiing. Hahn's Peak has some neat bowls to Telemark. Cabins are clean and very nicely furnished, in a spectacular setting -- beautiful, quiet, no other businesses around for miles -- nothing like it anywhere else. The owners and on-site caretakers are caring and helpful. It's a great opportunity to get off the grid and in touch with the real world. I love this place!

The Cabins at Columbine was a fantastic get way for our family of five. We stayed in the Gold cabin where everything was furnished with sleeping accommodations for as many as six people. Because we were "unplugged" we spent our time playing board games, taking walks, fishing and just sitting on the front porch with a cup of coffee in the morning watching a deer stroll by 25' in front of us. While the Gold Cabin did not have a bathroom, the "cub house" was only 75' away and very impressive bathroom facilities that includes tile showers with a changing room attached, providing towels, wash rags and even a bath mat. What blow dryers where also conventantly located just out side the showers. We really enjoyed the rustic private aspect of staying in a cabin built in the late 1800's, one my grand father may have actually stayed in while working at the Hahns Peak Mine, yet we still had all the modern conveniences of home, minus a cel phone and internet.
