We stayed here 5 years ago and loved it enough to return! The new owners, Todd and Tammy, are doing a great job. We stayed in the Gold Camp cabin. It has room enough for 4 adults and is close to the bath house. We love the secluded location of the cabins. Wonderful location to use as a base for... More

Returned for the first time in 14 years. Was as great as my wife and I remembered. Small, cozy log cabin with wood burner at the foot of the bed. Nice, clean shower house. We played table tennis in the lodge. I thought of letting her win, but didn't. Took a drive into the national forest. Saw a sow and... More

My girlfriend and I spent 5 days at the historic cabins at Columbine the last weekend of February 2016. What a great place to relax and unwind! We stayed in the "Skiers" cabin, with a potbelly stove for heat, and a full kitchen we had everything we needed to unplug from the city for a few days. The views of... More

My sister, my niece & I spent 4 nights here and loved it. If you are looking for rustic (but clean), peaceful, relaxing, friendly, unplugged, beautiful surroundings, close to things to do, a million stars at night....nature at it's best, then this is the place for you. Nothing but praise for this place and the people who work there!!

The cabins of Columbine are special and historic - especially the Hilltop we stayed in. It is over 100 years old and has no running water, electric or heat other than the wood stove you feed. And it is AWESOME! Our dogs loved it and so did we. It sits in the middle of an Aspen grove and well apart... More

These cabins set in a picturesque mountain setting were a great place to spend some quiet time in the mountains. The cabins are rustic, but very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was more than adequate to cook our meals with all the basic cooking pans and utensils along with a coffee pot and toaster. The staff is friendly and... More

We stayed here for two days while roaming around looking at the fall colors in north Central Colorado. The 14 Columbine cabins are actually all that's left of the town Columbine, a mining camp built in the late 1800s. The cabins are all log, many renovated in the '90s with new chinking and flooring. They're fairly rustic, so great for... More

Came here on a x-c ski trip with the Cheyenne Ski Club. There were 25 of us and we stayed in a number of cabins, had a group meal prepared in the fab commercial kitchen and a dinner and meeting in the library. Very nice all the way around. Beautiful winter wonderland 30 mi. north of Steamboat.

We also stayed in Burton, which apart from the bath had a kitchen with anything you could need to stay there for a few days. The owners were incredible nice and helpful! The views were amazing, and it was nice to be surrounded by snow inside of the very warm cabin! We would totally repeat.

We stayed in "Burton" and it was clean and comfortable. It is very quiet up there and they are a little further out than we thought. The address is Clark, but really it is in Columbine. This cabin has only a tub, but the central bathhouse is clean and has reasonable showers. The grill and stove worked well and we... More
