We stayed in the Chickadee cabin and had a fabulous 2 day and three night stay. Cabin was clean, uncluttered, and bright with great view out the back. Nice back porch with comfy Adirondack chairs in bright yellow, good size yard and the river just below. Could here the river when the windows or door was open - something we love. Appreciated having a king bed and it was very comfortable. Kitchen was well supplied with cooking pots, pans, etc - we cooked all our meals there. Bathrooms were clean and had higher end towels than travelers usually get. There's a path to a lower glen which is a nice short walk along the river. Lots of outdoor hiking in the area as well as three lakes close by. This was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations we've had, and we travel a lot! Will be back!

This was such an amazing venue for our wedding! We rented out all of the cabins and enjoyed an amazing weekend surrounded by family and friends. The weather was perfect and the wedding and reception venues were simply stunning. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to gather family and friends for an event, but does not want to stay in a hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and we are so happy we chose to get married here.

We had the best time. We just made a quick winter trip to enjoy the snow and stayed at Glen Eden (Wood Duck). It was so nice! So comfy!
Everything was clean and well maintained. We had everything we needed to have a great long weekend.

I wish that all rentals were required by the rental management to have minimum supplies. We had one hair dryer that kept popping the fuse on the day of a wedding. No iron/steamer. No cooking supplies like flour, sugar, salt. Their advertisement said restaurant "right out your door", nope, they did not have one on site. The restaurants close by don't open until noon. No water bottles in the cabins. How difficult would it be to provide hair dryers, bottled water for those of us getting in after the tiny 'gas station' like store closes? The cabin was not clean, see pix below. The office was closed the few times we went to ask for things. In the summer, you need windows open and on Saturday at 9:30 am someone was right under our window weed eating.

Thank you so much for bringing us your cleaning concerns. The bathmat was a new cabin owner's mistake. (BTW - I know the bathroom flooring - that's my cabin.) We purchased expensive soft fuzzy white mats for the unit, and they did not clean well! Glen Eden management let us know and we replaced the mats ASAP. Each unit is independently owned and furnished. Please do not let our newbie mistake look bad on the resort! As for the hair dryer - we did not know that was an issue so thank you, we will replace it. As for supplies, that is a hard one. We cannot keep food long-term in the units because of the mountain critters. Again, thank you for the feedback and for visiting Glen Eden Resort (And choosing our cabin!)

I have stayed at the Glen Eden Resort about 6 times over the last 30 years and always left satisfied with the accommodations. Recently however that is not the case. I took my two daughters, my 82 year old mother and my sister and her husband, here over the weekend of 10/29/11 through 10/30/2011 and this time we were very disapointed. The unit in which we stayed was dated, worn and freezing cold when we arrived. It took at least 2 hours with the heat cranked to the max to achieve a comfortable temperature and to make matters worse, the management has recently decided on a no natural fire policy, so the fireplace was not usable. There was a note near the fireplace which stated the information and said that a fake log would be provided for guest after Thanksgiving. My feelings are that if you can't have a crackling fire in a mountain cabin, the experience is seriously diminished, besides having to wear a coat for the first couple of hours.

We looked forward to celebrating my mother's and sister's birthdays by cooking a nice meal and spending time in a cozy athosphere. This place did not do the trick at all.

My daughters were excited about the hot tub which was luke warm so that did not meet expectations either.

The experience was concluded by having the manager come by the next morning as we were cleaning up the kitchen to tell us rudely that checkout was at 10:00 and that is was now 11:30, and we needed to get out by 12:00 or be charged another night. I understand the stated checkout times but I was hoping for a bit of flexibility especially since we hadn't checked in until about 3:00 PM the previous day. I use the term "checked in" loosely because the key was left in a mailbox near the office because there was no one there to greet us. That arrangement works fine for me, as I don't need someone there to hold my hand but it also conveyed the immpression that the check in check out process was relaxed and not typical of other places I have stayed. In years past, including last year when we did the same get together at Glen Eden Resort, we left in the mid afternoon and there was complaint voiced by anyone.

All in all, this was an unpleasant experience with both the cabin and the mangement and I will seek other accommodations next year.

I have wanted stay at the Glen Eden since 1985 when I owned property down the road. It was only 27 years later that an opportunity arose to take my daughter and her fiancé. It was a last minute booking with a dog over a holiday weekend, but the folks at Glen Eden made it happen. We had a great cabin-Fireside- pretty much off by itself with a river view. Cabin had 2 bedrooms and two baths (king and twins). Kitchen well supplied with utensils, pots and pans along with a grill, picnic table and outside chairs. Fireplace in the house too.

The resort needs to plant a few trees along the property to the south where a new school has been built.

We did not get a chance to try the bar, restaurant, pool or hot tub, but all looked clean and inviting. The coolest general store, the Clark Store, is just down the street and has anything you need, including Internet which is not available in the cabins.

The price was reasonable although it seemed unnecessary to charge an additional $15 a night for a third person in a two bedroom cabin. I thought the extra $15 for the dog was reasonable.

I have family that lives in Clark, CO. We stay at the Glen Eden Resort often. We love it! They have two bedroom, two bath places with everything you need. They have a grill on the patio, swimming pool, hot tub, tennis, tether ball, a creek and it is quiet and beautiful. They have a restaurant on site but the kitchen you get is fabulous for cooking.

The cabins at Glen Eden are owned by individuals and then rented to visitors through the Glen Eden Resort. Consequently, the cabins are clean, well maintained, showers, bathrooms, kitchens, dishwashers etc. Internet is available for those who have work to do while on a vacation. The Glen Eden restaurant has great items on the menu, however, be advised that the restaurant closes at 8:30 pm even on Saturday nights. Staying in these cabins gets you close to awesome snow machine country, hiking, biking, fishing or just relaxing.

We rented a cabin right on the river. It was very clean, and a good deal for the price. You could hear the river at night, but there was a fence and tall grass between the property and the water, so you didn't have to worry about little kids wandering off and falling in.

The views of the surrounding mountains were gorgeous. There is a playground right in the center of the cabins, so kids can play while the adults relax at their place. There was also a nice pool and two hot tubs, plus tennis courts. We didn't get a chance to try the restaurant, which looked very popular. But we'll definitely be back! If you're looking for a beautiful spot to hang out with kids away from the hustle and bustle, this is an excellent choice.
