Yes, please don't come here and take my spot. You really don't want to enjoy the incredible views, the crisp 9000 ft air, or the big open RV park. It's very close to the fun in Black Hawk, and not too hard to get in and out of. It's cheap in the winter when we were there, which means that... More

We stayed at the Denver West/Central city campground Wednesday through Sunday and had a great experience! The staff was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived and gave us tips on freezing water lines and bears! We stayed in space #5 which gave us breathtaking views of Central City and the mountains! This is a mountain campsite, do not expect... More

We arrived and first impressions looked good. Concrete pad that was uneven side to side? With two boards it was 'fixed'. Hook ups fine and laundry area nice. The campground seems to be run by young folks who have no regard for the speed limit rules. They fly around in their golf carts throwing dust everywhere. A couple of tenters... More

We stayed at the Central City KOA for 6 days. We were in a motor home towing our car. GOOD NEWS! You no longer have to drive through Central City to get to the park. There is now access directly from the Central City Parkway. The Park was well maintained, wonderful flat concrete pads with a picnic table and fire... More

Stayed here on cross country trip. Tent campers only have two areas and are literally on top of each other. Elevation is higher but isn't as cold as the arapaho forest. Was full each day I was here. I could hear kids screaming throughout the stay. There is a jacuzzi and I saw them add chemicals twice during my stay... More

This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds we've stayed at. As full-time Rver's we've stayed at over 100 campgrounds in our 3 years of travel. This one is off the beaten path, 360 degree views. No highway noise, no trains or airports nearby. Just incredible. Very clean. Great store had everything we could possibly need including pizza and pancakes... More

For those of you that have stayed in a Koa, this one is a bit different. It is on the hill above Central City. They take good care of the guests with a shuttle bus to the town. Bathrooms are clean. Sites are large and not right next to your neighbor. All gravel or rock, no grass but very nice!

had site 40 and really enjoyed the private back yard with firepit and great mountain views. Great pancakes for $3 all you can eat! John, his wife, Sadie and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. This is our first KOA and won't be out last. I just hope the rest are like Denver West KOA! Thanks... More

I'm not really a camper, but I love to hang out with campers, they are fun people who love the outdoors and know how to make a camp fire. We spent the night in a lovely cabin at this KOA and hung around with some locals at the campfire and watched the incredible fireworks from high atop Central City, Colorado.... More
