Great location and stay in Carbondale. Although we stayed there for proximity to Aspen and Glenwood Springs, we loved the town of Carbondale too! The kicker is, almost two or three weeks after the stay, my girlfriend realized she forgot her favorite shirt. Well, the staff found it and sent to me free of charge. They were super helpful and communicative. Thanks!!
We visit Carbondale several time a year and usually stay at the Comfort Suites. We rent a king suite with a pullout bed in case the grandchildren want to spend the night. There are doors between the main bedroom, the vanity/bathroom area, and the front room so everyone can have privacy as needed. There is also a separate sink in the kitchen area which is extremely convenient when you have extra people. Our room was clean, the breakfast was hot and delicious, and the pool was fantastic! The lobby is being renovated, but that was not an inconvenience. There are no house keeping services, but when we needed something the front desk quickly provided it.
We were visiting Carbondale for a wellness retreat. The location of Comfort Inn and Suites is great and (some of) the staff are really pleasant and made us feel welcome. The bed was actually really comfortable but the bed-skirt was stained/dirty and gave us pause. The bathroom was in desperate need of an upgrade! The shower had no water pressure, the valve was a mess so finding hot water was a fun puzzle each day; all the fixtures were corroded and leaking. For the price we paid, we felt it should have been a much better experience. We are familiar with the Comfort Suites brand and this did not meet the standards we have seen in other areas.
My wife and I have been staying at this hotel for several years when we went to Aspen for concerts. This year, I found the price to be over $300.00. The location is great, but there is no elevator and we have found the breakfast to be lacking. Glenwood springs is about 15 minutes away, and the Quality Inn is over $100 less. Bonus, better restaurants in Glenwood Springs. Stay there.
My husband and I stayed here for one night while passing through the area. We called the day before to see if they could accommodate an early check-in, and the woman we spoke to, Jojo, could not have been more helpful! She delivered and we were indeed able to check in early. Location is great - close to a lot of beautiful areas and good restaurants. The hotel property was quiet and so well-kept and pretty, with lots of gorgeous flowers blooming. Our hotel room was well-equipped, as you'd expect with a Comfort Inn. It was a bit worn and in need of a facelift, but we had everything we needed and it was very clean and comfortable. We'd definitely choose this property again!
I haven't stayed here in a few years but had no hesitation in returning. I found that our room had been renovated. Carpet, bedding and overall decor of the room was wonderful. Mattress was comfortable and room was quiet. Breakfast was good with ample options. Pool was open but we didn't use it on this particular stay. Check-in was easy with a super friendly hostess. I would recommend to any traveler looking for a good value.
After reading about some previous complaints, it is clear the management has been responsive, as none of the previously mentioned problems were in evidence when I arrived (e.g., old carpeting had clearly been replaced). My room was spotless, and I, like others, was pleasantly surprised at how large the TV was. I have only one major complaint. Look closely at the images provided above the reviews submitted. You will notice an image of a room, with the bed(s) to the right, and the window/curtains in the center. On either side of the window there appear to be full length blackout drapes, with a sheer drape in the middle, above the in-wall-mounted HVAC system. The drapery is fake! You cannot pull either side shut to darken the room for sleeping. Soooooooooo, if you've had a particularly long day, long drive, etc., and are planning on sleeping in, you can forget it. The sheer curtain in the middle allows the sunlight to come streaming in as soon as the sun comes up. This is the first time, in memory, of traveling anywhere in the world, that I was not able to pull the curtains closed and darken the room for sleeping. I believe I know why.............the design was a fiasco, because if the blackout drapes were to be pulled shut, then the a/c would be blocked. The solution is simple; install blackout drapery the same length as the sheer, center drape.…
This was just a terrific hotel - and a fantastic place for the money. The television was enormous, room a good size, it was spotless and the beds were comfy. We had a mini frig, plenty of hot water - and a quiet, good night's sleep. Check in was easy. Will stay there again over higher priced, fancy options in a second. Really impressed.
Staff was friendly and our rooms were clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there and we will make sure to stay there again when we come by the area. I recommended it to my friends and family.
We were in town for the weekend and ended up telling myself that I'd not stay here again from 2 years ago. I've stayed here a total of 3 times, the first time was an awesome experience, these last 2 have been terrible and I will not return. There is no elevator to get to the second floor so plan on hoofing your luggage up the stairs to be met with smelly dirt carpet in the hallways. Once you get into your room you will find more dirty carpet and nice strands of hair that don't match your color. When you try to relax and take a shower, darn the water spout is broken and sprays water everywhere but to the showerhead! Then try to go for a dip, wait a minute the Hottub is broken (again) and the pool is by reservations due to covid, Ok, tomorrow will be better once you have the not-so-delicious poor excuse of breakfast. (stale energy bars and yogurt) which we are told is because of Covid. Interesting, being the less expensive hotels across town manage to pull off a nice breakfast and still comply with restrictions?? I will end on a positive note, the hotel exterior has a nice curb appeal and the pictures in the room are pretty to look at. …
