We stayed one night here as a base to visit the Maroon Bells just outside of Aspen. We were warmly welcomed and went up to our very spacious, very clean room. The staff was very helpful in recommending a good restaurant for dinner. We checked out early the next morning for our visit to the Maroon Bells which, in addition to this hotel, we highly recommend!
We enjoyed our recent weeknight stay here. Our larger than average room was clean and comfortable. The whole place seemed to be well maintained. Staff were helpful on check-in, shifting our room so we could check in a bit early. And at about $100/night it seemed to be a decent value. The only downsides were due to the pandemic: I looked for an ice bucket and had to go get one from the front desk because "they have been required to remove them from the rooms". And the COVID-compliant breakfast options didn't have much my wife could eat, so we were forced to go down the street to eat. Otherwise a decent stay for us.
Comfort Inn - Cowen Drive Carbondale, 09-29-2020 We are on a 14 day trip around Colorado. Mostly staying in a different hotel each night. This hotel by far is the poorest quality service, cleanliness and bad attitude staff. We often stay in comfort suites and we are Choice members and we’re not used to this low grade of service. Carpets in halls were old and dirty, with leaves and mud. The breakfast bar is pitiful, apples oranges yogurt and coffee and fruit bars. No cereals, no plates, no milk nor anything else. When I talk to the front desk manager about it she dismissed it immediately and with a loud tone, and immediately started helping another person. The front desk person‘s name is Beverly. This hotel used to be an adorable Country Inn but was taken over by Choice and has nose-dived. The rooms are FILTHY, the hallways stink and the staff has the combined personality of barbed wire. They are rude, unhelpful and have that anti-guest type of gossipy attitude that they can't be bothered. Their response to anything you ask for is "look it up." The rooms are gross, really stink and not worth the ridiculous price they want- way overpriced. Their best feature is the bikes you can borrow and ride. Oh and the beds are fabulously comfortable! Other than that they are 1 of 2 hotels in town and totally take advantage of guests, who they treat like intruders.
After getting in room, there was PUBIC Hair in toilet w dirty wiped sink counter,Filthy!! Then zero USB ports for simple convenience says zero experience to manager!! Carpets are FILTHY AND STAINED!! JUST the smell was unpleasant so a/c off window open.oops screen is broken so mosquito get in....dump
