My husband and I had the worst experience of hot springs ever. We have been to about a dozen different hot springs, and Avalanche Ranch was our worst. The Springs was nothing special. What disappointed us was not the springs itself but about the staff and the way the owner handled our complaint. We arrived at Avalanche Ranch for our...

Avalanche Ranch is a gem! My family and I visited over the Christmas Holiday while it was a winter wonderland. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot springs and the mountain vista back drop. We spent our days snow shoeing, skiing, sledding, ice skating and reading.(No cell service or wifi in each cabin- fine with us) We spent our evenings soaking, playing...

Stayed for a night in September. Beautiful place, amazing view especially from the hotsprings. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The accommodation itself is comfortable, clean and nice. I wish to stay longer, next time I will! I heard this place is booked up very quickly, even when I stayed there it was low season and midweek, it's full! Thank...

We stayed 2 nights in the Sun Flower cabin with our children last week. I thought the cabin was very cute and the owners obviously put a lot of thought into making each cabin cozy and unique. We arrived after check in hours to find the heat on in our cabin and fresh baked cookies on the table. The landscape...

My wife and I visited Avalanche Ranch this past weekend to go to some hot springs in the Rockies. The weather was absolutely amazing (unseasonably warm) which was refreshing when getting out of the springs. There are 4 separate pools all fed from natural hot springs, so there is plenty of room and you don't feel over crowded. The view...

Visited during an unexpected rain/snow during our late September visit; luckily we were able to get in (MAKE RESERVATIONS!). The springs are great - three separate pools that each have different temperatures - and in fact, the temperature dropped 15 degrees while we were there, so they dialed up the heat in one of them, and we felt it almost...

Seven women went on a 2-day retreat this fall. I think this is perfect for groups, adults and possibly children. I'm not sure that little kids would want to spend much time in the hot springs. The ranch was not as ritzy as Aspen spas but not as expensive either. The cabins reminded me of dude ranch/fishing cabins were brought...

We had a very nice stay at the Avalanche Ranch. The hot springs are great, the cabins are perfect, the farm animals were a fun surprise. We toured the Redstone Castle, had meals in Carbondale, Redstone and Marble. It was the perfect get away for us. Be prepared to unplug because you won't have cell service, which is also a...

We were visiting daughter in CB and decided to get away with her and her boyfriend. We booked a one night stay in the Birds Nest Cabin. Primitive yet cozy, we enjoyed cooking a meal in the kitchen (was raining or we could have cooked outside, although we had no charcoal and the rules say no cooking with wood). The...

I've been three times this past year 2015/16. The first time was nice - a Sat. in the fall. The two times after that (Summer) there were kids. This place is small. What happens is the kids take over the largest bottom pool and the parents don't follow the rules and the kids are jumping in and loud. Maybe management...

Thank you for your review and for coming to visit Avalanche Ranch. We are sorry that your last visit did not feel as relaxing or quiet as the previous visits. We are family friendly and we do ask that parents keep their kids under control, I'm sorry you encountered a disrespectful group. If you are looking for times to come...
