Mountain View RV Resort, Canon City, CO, Royal Gorge Rail Ride
Absolutely the cleanest and most well designed RV park that I have visited in 30+ years of RVing. Mountain View RV Park has great owners who care about their visitors and their property. Everything is clean and neat inside and out. Each space is well equipped and is very spacious. The views are amazing and this park is only 6 miles west of Canon City, CO. It was so quiet and beautiful we were not wanting to leave! Thanks for a great stay and wonderful memories.

Great RV/camper resort and great location
I selected Mountain View for our two night stay in the Royal Gorge area, and I am very glad I did. We had 3 families in our campers/RVs and this place was a wonderful anchor for our time. The owners, and Red [who is amazing at helping get everyone set up in their spots] were beyond helpful. The camper slots were all good gravel but every slot had a nice concrete pad with good quality patio furniture on it plus a fire ring [ours was a large concrete ring]. The hook-ups/plug-ins were set up very well and there was good spacing between slots. And last, but not least, the views of the mountains from the camper slots was simply beautiful. If we are ever again in this area we will definitely stay here. Everyone in my family agreed this was simply one of the nicest campgrounds we have ever experienced.

    Our first RV adventure!
This was hands down one of our favorite places to stay. H staff was amazing- So kind and helpful. We were caught in a pretty nasty storm on our way up, and the owner was kind enough to wait for us to ensure we arrived safely and got parked without issue even in the pouring down rain. Waking up the views are breathtaking. This is a small park, with views at every turn. Basketball courts, play ground, private pergolas with picnic tables and more. This place does not disappoint.

We really liked this park. It was clean and quiet. Although close to the highway, traffic didn’t bother us. As a matter of fact, we forgot it was there. It’s very close to all of the great attractions as well as Cañon City. Will definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

e night in a place with bed bugs. Management said only the owner could give a refund. After arguing on the phone with the owner who did not care one bit, we finally got $5.50 out of him to run all of our bedding and clothes through the dryer. (We had to provide our bedding.) He offered to move us next door but if other bugs were in our things then it would be moved there. Plus there was no way I would stay in a place that has bed bugs! We sent a photo of the bed bug to the owner and he said we had no idea what we were taking about and that insects, spiders, and bed bugs are part of desert life. He was unreal. We sent the photo of the bed bug to two pest companies in Colorado Springs and have email confirmation from them that it is a bed bug. We sent those messages to the owner and he has not responded or refunded us. Avoid this place and anything else this owner has. He does not care about his customers at all; only profit. We ran our things through the dryer and had to wait an hour and a half for that sitting outside, then left the premises.

We have been traveling for over a month after leaving Yellowstone we headed south planning to stay somewhere near Denver but couldn’t find anywhere near there. I found this RV park on Campspot in Canon City which is south of Denver. I really didn’t know anything about the area but it had good ratings so decided to book it for a few nights. We arrived about 3pm and we were greeted by Red former marine very friendly guy. I have to say he keeps the place spotless. The sights are gravel and some sites have nice concrete patios. He helped is back in we had plenty of space. Now it is right on the highway and this highway is surprisingly busy. We were in a spot right off the road so if we were not running the air conditioner or TV we could hear the road but that didn’t bother us. A few miles down the road is the Royal Gorge the Arkansas River runs through it. We are glad we found this RV park because it lead us to another great adventure. I would recommend this RV park it was clean ran well.

Great facility, well run, very clean. Very enjoyable stay. You are met when you first arrive and escorted to your spot. Enjoyed the horseshoe and cornhole games with my kids. Will definitely stay there again later this year..

We had a wonderful time staying at Mountain View. Spectacular views, clean, quiet and welcoming. Our first RV camping experience since moving to Colorado. Couldn't have asked for a better one! We had spot #11 ...it was lovely. Convenient to all that Canon City has to offer. Can't recommend enough.

We spent 4 flawless nights at Mountain View. Each evening you are treated to spectacular sunsets over the mountains. We had spot #11 and it seemed to be the best in the park. Perfect location for seeing the Royal Gorge area. A++

We got there around 7:30PM, went to park our camper because we knew which spot was reserved. The owner comes out cursing out my husband while my kids were in the car. My husband was nothing but apologetic that we went to park in our pre paid for spot with out calling him. He just kept cussing saying if we hit anything, he was gonna a sue us. We asked for our money back so we could just leave, he refused. He never apologized for disrespecting my husband in front of our kids. It's just crazy that he would continue to escalate his rant after my husband stopped immediately and apologized. I wish the guy was not so crazy because the place it's self was nice.

Entering our park without permission is trespassing. Failure to do so is subject to prosecution. You cannot enter the park without checking in. This guest violated our most basic policy and risked damage to our park.
