True meaning to the above mentioned titled quote. No complaints at all from arrival to departure at the resort. The staff is amazing and the rooms are placed in pure paradise. The perfect stay for a romantic styled getaway! Tip: If looking for a true Costa Rican home cooked meal just down the bumpy road from the resort is a...

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time! Our room was a private bungalow set back in the rain forest. It was better than we anticipated. We were serenaded to sleep each night by the sound of the rainforests creatures which could not make for a better back ground noise. The food in the...

This special place is by far the best hotel I stayed at in Costa Rica. The staff was extremely friendly, the room was huge and private and had an outdoor shower (indoor as well). We opted for the cheaper version, path/garden view “Casita Forest” rather than the rainforest view “Casita Suite”, and was amazed how private it was. Each room...

My husband and I fell in love with this area of Costa Rica in 2013, so when planning a second trip, I couldn't pass up the Rio Celeste Hideaway. As all the reviews you have probably read, the road to get here is less than some may desire, but I find it to be part of the charm. They have...

We stayed here 2 nights at the end of March. The drive was rough - dirt rocky road but worth it! Very bumpy. A GPS is a must since the hotel is literally hidden in the beautiful rainforest. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They booked all of our excursions. We hiked to rio celeste waterfall with a guide...

Had a wonderful stay with my family in this off the beaten path resort. Great customer service, spent time at the pool and hiking on the property's own trail to Rio Celeste. The villa itself was spacious and the outdoor shower was a nice touch. The front desk was able to arrange some fun tours in the area for us,...

Rio Celeste Hideaway is a slice of rainforest heaven--lovely design featuring natural materials and giant rooms. It's very escapist and would also make a great romantic getaway. You really feel like you're in the middle of the forest, and you are--the terraces outside the rooms literally open into thick rainforest, and you almost expect a monkey or toucan to pop...

So we only stayed here one day and one night but we loved it. We did the hike to the waterhall and Augusto our guide was AWESOME. He was so informative and helpful. Held my hand on all the slippery muddy parts so I didnt fall once. Which was my goal. He politely corrected the kids' Spanish so they actually...

Poor signage meant we also took the 'back' road from the Bijagua side. Our so called 4x4 Hyundai had poor clearance and no power up the hilly and rocky road. With careful driving we made it to virtually the gates of the hotel then had the bad luck to run over a small piece of construction wire carelessly tossed aside...

Overall our stay at Rio Celeste Hideaway Hotel was a positive experience. The villas were tucked into the beautiful rainforest with winding walkways and gardens leading to them. We had a few issues though that we felt others should be aware of. First, the signage to the hotel was poor. We ended up turning off too early and came in...
