Spent only 3 Nights at this hotel as part of a package deal with colletts tours. The hotel looked after us excellently and i love the wildlife surrounding the resturant each morning for breakfast. In the swimming pool from 6pm onwards after the clients jump out, local green frogs jump in, Billiard table is warped with damp, makes an interesting...

As other reviewers have mentioned this is a gorgeous property with delightful large casitas with a fun outdoor shower. Unfortunately getting to it requires a 20 minute drive up a twisty pot-holed road through seemingly unending clouds and rain. And it is not cheap either! Breakfast was good but a little slow for serving hot items.

Dear FinallyTimeToTravel, We love hearing that you found Rio Celeste Hideaway Hotel gorgeous and delightful. If coming from La Fortuna area, bumpy road is the last 7 kilometers, if coming from Guanacaste province, Liberia airport, there are only a couple of kilometers left of bumpy roads, and being worked on now. Our strategic location next to the rain forest at...

We just spent two nights at The Hideaway - and honestly its a beautiful hotel in a beautiful spot, although my husband said it felt a bit like The Shinning's Overlook Hotel - due to its seclusion. The weather certainly didn't help things (as it added to the dreary vibe) but I completely understand this is not the hotels fault...

Well the first thing I need to mention is the location and the drive to get there. I would definitely recommend an SUV of some sort because the roads are bumpy to say the very least. It looks like eventually they will be paving the road as there seems be be some work being started, but it doesn't look like...

We spent 3 nights in peaceful serenity, in the midst of beautiful flowers and birds with wonderful accommodations. The room was very nice, well decorated with beautiful wood floors. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the early mornings sipping coffee and listening to the Howler Monkeys above us in the trees. The restaurant was very spacious, opened up to...

We stayed just one night in December. Sadly it rained the entire time so we didn't get to enjoy the hotel as much as we could've given how beautiful it was. We did do the hike to Rio Celeste but due to the rain is was more grey than blue but nothing anyone could have done about that. I echo...

We spent three lovely nights at Rio Celeste Hideaway and it exceeded all expectations. Our room was gorgeous. Huge, very clean, very comfortable bed, Big deck with lounge chairs, massive bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, lots and lots of closet room and space for suitcases. The staff at the hotel were extremely gracious - all of them. We had...

This is the kind of place I was looking for when I thought of Costa Rica: In the middle of nature, but very well cared-for.
