We had stayed at this location before and it was just ok. Now, it's gotten to be a little less ok.
It looks like, since our last stay anyway, it has seen new ownership and quality has gone down as well. However, they were completely booked up the night we stayed and it is one of very few affordable accommodations in the whole region. You still get what you pay for.
Our room was located directly above the lobby. So we heard everyone coming and going plus, there was extra light coming in than one of the hallway rooms would normally have. We did ask to be relocated, but all rooms were booked for the night.
As far as the room itself goes, it was mostly clean, but just didn't have that "fully clean fresh feeling" to it. The light fixture mounted on the wall between the two queen beds was falling out of the wall, the desk in the room looked like it was from the 80s, and here's the worst of it, I found a long black hair in the sheets of one of the beds. My wife and I do not have dark hair and I have barely any!
So if you are looking for a multi-night stay in BV or anywhere in the Collegiate Peaks region, I strongly recommend looking somewhere else. Yes, you'll be paying more, but it's worth the quality. For quick one-night stays and you're not picky on quality, Super 8 is the way to go.
