This is a cute campground, nice small cabins and the employees were very nice. We weren't looking for anything "luxury" but wanted the camping experience, and wanted to hike Mt Huron the next day. The biggest issue was sleeping - the mattresses felt like air mattresses and had I known this we could have just brought tents or stayed at a hotel for a better sleeping experience. There were no springs on our queen bed - we had a microwave and small fridge which was good, but bring your own coffee cups, etc. (which we did). We ended up leaving a day early because we wanted to get a good nights sleep.

We have been coming to this campground for the last two years. We have always been greeted and shown to our camping spot until this year. We pulled up and went inside to check in. "do you need us to show you were to go?" was the comment. When we got into our regular site we noticed that the usual well kept grass/weeds were in fact not taken care of. Not once in the 4 days we stay did anyone drive by and asked how we were doing. The old owner would be out every morning with his coffee and golf cart asking anyone that was out and about how it was going. On our last night there were 2 young men that were very nice. Come to find out they don't work there. We went into the office on the first evening and 2 young girls were working the office. We asked about fir restriction and the looked at us like we were stupid. Again old owners would have covered this when the took us to our site, Then we asked for the password for the Wi Fi. They laughed and said if you need Wi Fi go to the library. The office closed whenever. Very unprofessional. The bathroom were horrible and I'm pretty sure never cleaned while we there. On our last day we went into the office and voiced our concerns. They said that their cleaners that came to clean had covid. Okay well no one else that works there can pick a mop and broom and clean, I know when my staff calls in I am doing their job to make sure things are right, They said they weren't the owners and couldn't give us contact information. We told them since we weren't able to. I let them know that we would be doing a review and they asked us not to because it would make them look bad. We should have known that there was something wrong because when we have camped there in the past the place is packed. This year there were maybe 10 to 12 rv's and trailers and I think 1 tent. Three of the Rv's seemed to belong to workers. The other campground near there seemed to be full or nearly full. If I had the owners info I would let them know so they might be able to turn things around. I guess the people they have running it are more concerned about themselves than the campground. Guess we will have to find a new place to park.

We have been staying here for ~14 years. The attention to detail was not what we were used to and the Wi-Fi was the worst (not “rockin’”) it has ever been even though the park was approx half full. We also noticed the office closed unusually early which is hard for people coming in late.

Great experience from the moment we checked in. The campground is very well maintained and clean. Our site was very nice. The store has everything you might need, including a great latte! To top off a great experience, Cathy (owner) called us later in the day to say a staff member had found my wallet. I did not even realize I had left it in the restroom. The wallet was just as I left it and Cathy sent it overnight to my house!

Our family of 3 kids and 3 dogs just spent two nights at this campground. The owners keep a very clean and well run full hookup campground. Cathy couldn't have been kinder. She provided my kids with goodie bags upon arrival that included crafts and a scavenger hunt. They have a small playground and a volleyball court. She went above and beyond to do her best to make our experience wonderful. Like many full hookup campgrounds, the sites are relatively close together but each site has trees and landscaping. Our friends stayed across the highway about a minute away, and their campground did not come close to comparing to this one! I would stay there again in a heartbeat. They have very pretty tent sites on the hill that have lots of trees and are more spread out. Some even have great views.

We stayed four nights in our RV at this resort. On the third night, a large RV pulled into the site next to us. These are not spacious sites. There were two families, four adults, about three children and a whining, barking Doberman. These people were extremely loud. We could hear every word they said even with windows closed. One of the adults tapped on something that sounded like a hammer on a rock for literally three hours each night. They were up past the quiet time each night and again early the next morning during quiet time, outdoor speakers and all. We were sure management would be aware of the problem after the first night considering two different employees were staying in sites directly across from them. We left so early on our final day. We could not wait to get out of there. Fortunately our next stop was nice and accommodating to allow early check in. Our stay at arrowhead was pretty much ruined for half of our stay. Why doesn’t management monitor quiet times?

This is a large well maintained campground with something for everyone. I made reservations months in advance - good thing this seems to be a popular place. We were warmly greeted and escorted to our site. The gravel back in sites are off gravel roads (dusty), they are mostly level with modern convenient hookups that functioned properly. The site we choose had cable tv (analog) it was good enough - I doubt there would be any over the air channels, and there is a big sky for satellite. Their “upgraded” WiFi was also mostly okay not always providing a signal that was useful. The most disappointing part of our stay was the nonexistent cell service. Yes, I know it is not their fault, but if this is part of the deal some mention would have been helpful. The second most disappointing part is what they charge for a site $65 per night (discounted) for almost no amenities........ There are places close by that have better value and cell service.

We arrived here on Aug. 1 after a very long day of driving. All we needed was a tent site to fix our dinner and go to bed. For $46 we received a cramped tent site with very close noisy neighbors and a row of filthy, disgusting, full porta-potties. We almost packed up and left after dinner due to the noise and the filth, but we were too exhausted. If you're looking for a tent site, don't visit this place.

We had not stayed in the Buena Vista area for years, but decided to visit there recently. Same family-run RV Resort, same wonderful service, same lovely sites. The resort has underground something of a transformation, with improved sites and expanded facilities. The owner is the same lady we met ages ago and just as helpful as ever. WIFI is very good and we had a site with cable TV. Firepits available at individual campsites (though we were at the resort during a fire ban). The resort is just a few miles north of Buena Vista, so the stars are beautiful and the scenery is stunning. Limited trees, so be sure to ask for a site with a bit of shade. We'll try not to wait another 15 years before visiting here once again.

This campground does not live up to its advertised amenities. While the sites are somewhat roomy, the owner would not allow us to back up our camper to take advantage of being face to face with another RV in our party, even though they were in the next space. When questioned he simply said it could not be done. The “dog walking area” was no more than an extension of a dirt road. Even though owners were encouraged to clean up after their pets, there were no bags or receptacles available. The barista bar was sub par. The coolest aspect of this campground is the decorative rock columns! Stay else where, there are a lot of options in this area.
