We had a great stay at the Mountain River Inn! Breakfast was delicious with huge portions and they were very willing to accommodate dietary restrictions. The owners were extremely friendly and had plenty of suggestions for dinner and things to do in the area. The inn itself was clean and nicely decorated. Would definitely recommend!

This property is a hidden gem. The inside is lovely, the river views are amazing and the breakfasts are gourmet with generous portions. This is a very classy place to stay. Erin and Mark are delightful and full of good info about the area. We would look forward to staying with them again!

My first B&B and I think I am spoiled! The views were breath taking. I loved listening to the river and smelling the fresh air. The Hot tub was awesome and helped me have a good night sleep. Staying in the Gone Fishing Suite was an excellent choice. The entire B&B is very tastefully decorated. I love the kitchen and...

Hello Cynthia W - Thank you, thank you, thank you, for your wonderful words. That hot tub can definitely help with a good night sleep. So glad we could get your Eggs Benedict right too - that was a first for us making EB with "fully cooked" eggs. Usually, we try VERY hard so they are NOT fully cooked -...

Just stayed at Mountain River Inn for a couple of days. Mark and Erin are fantastic hosts. Very knowledgeable about the area. Pointed out many places to visit, camp and enjoy in the area. The Inn is in the perfect location with mountain views out the front window and river view out back. Quiet and peaceful yet very close to...

The rooms are beautifully appointed, the outdoor sitting areas and hot tub alongside the river are wonderful. Mark and Erin prepared superb breakfasts and gave us wonderful advice on where to hike, how to dress for mountain weather variations, etc. Highly recommended.

We spent two nights at this lovely bed and breakfast and wish we could have stayed a bit longer. We stayed in the Gone Fishing Suite which is well appointed with everything a traveler could want. This B&B is the epitome of what a B&B should be: cozy, well-decorated rooms, wonderful owners, great breakfast, a romantic setting. My only regret is that we stayed there just one night. Our room (Gone Fishin') overlooked the Arkansas River, with sliding glass doors onto a deck. The owners have put a lot of love and time into decorating not...

The Mountain River Inn is a Bed & Breakfast that rests on the banks of the famous Arkansas River, at the foot of the Collegiate Mountain Range in central Colorado, U.S.A. This quiet country setting with mountain & river views in all directions, is located 1.5 miles north of the historic downtown district of Buena Vista, Colorado. Your choice of accommodations includes three large lodging rooms, all with private baths, private riverbank deck entrance, and furnished in either willow, pine, or aspen wood furniture. See individual Room Descriptions for more details. Outside your private entrance is a deck with a patio table and chairs, wild flowers in season, and a path to the outdoor hot tub and down to the river's edge. A full and hearty breakfast is served in our dining room when the weather is cooler, or on the deck when things warm up.
