My wife & I just spent two pleasant nights at Buffalo Peak Lodge. The lodge is lovely throughout, but we enjoyed the Mt Princeton room. The room was decorated in a safari theme. Our room included one king & a set of bunk beds. The bathroom was quite large with a jacuzzi tub.
We sat on our shared patio the first evening while enjoying a cocktail & the views. We snuck a peak at all the rooms since we were the only ones there the last morning. All the rooms looked cozy & inviting.
Downtown BV was only 1.3 miles away with all the quaint shops & eateries. The second night we attended a wedding at The Barn, a wedding/special event center, with drop-dead gorgeous views. It was only 1.5 miles from the BnB.
The BEST part of the BnB was Paz, the owner. Each morning, she prepared a different full breakfast that was both delicious & hearty. She has being a hostess down pat. She has drinks, (water, soft drinks & wine) in a mini fridge, freshly baked cookies, an efficient ice maker & a mini fridge for guests' use.
We can highly recommend Buffalo Peak Lodge Bed and Breakfast if you’re ever in the BV area.

Very special place. Wonderful hosts, gorgeous setting, lots of sunshine. We were greeted by a herd of deer led by a giant buck. Outside flowers, pretty landscaping shows excellent attention to detail. Our room was comfortable and nicely decorated, bathroom and linens were new and breakfast outstanding. Our hostess, Paz is an amazing cook!
Breakfast is served to all guests at same time on a huge, handcrafted by host, table for 16 where there is lots of fun chatter and sharing of experiences.
The inn hosts are friendly and warm and helpful with suggestions and info on local businesses. The host is quite an experienced craftsman who has completely renovated the inn.
The B&B is less than a mile from downtown BV where there are great restaurants and access to the river walk/hike. Also two hot springs venues are nearby as well as many trailheads for hiking.
We enjoyed our two day stay and will definitely be back!

This was our first bed and breakfast and I'm thinking the bar has been set high! Paz was amazing! We had a long day of driving and had requested a late check-in, which was not a problem. When we arrived, Paz met us at the door, efficiently shared the details (how to get in, coffee at 7:00, breakfast at 8:00...), showed us the freshly baked cookies and beverages in the fridge and we were on our way!

The room was nice and the view amazing! There were deer hanging out in the lawn when we got up. Lots of hot water for showers. We stayed in the Mt Colombia room. Our 19 yo daughter loved having a little bit of space to herself vs having to sleep on a pull-out couch. The bed was comfy. The temperature was a little warm for us. There was a fan in the room, but we were still a little warm for sleeping. Fun little fact: there were a ton of outlets in the room :)

We didn't have time to lounge in the gazebo with the fire pit, but it looked so inviting! We stayed two nights and had a different homecooked breakfast each morning. Both were absolutely amazing! She accommodated my gluten free restriction with real food and not some packaged substitute. We really enjoyed our stay!

Thank you Paz for being such a gracious hostess! We will be thinking about you as you navigate through this next year.

This quaint bnb was a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are beautiful and the included breakfast was delicious. The town of Buena Vista has many things to do but we took advantage of its many hiking trails. I highly recommend staying at Buffalo Peaks.

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Mt. Harvard room and it was fantastic! There is a great balcony with Mountain views that we spent some time on. The breakfast each morning was hearty and delicious and it was fun to get to know the other guests. The hosts are so friendly and accommodating! We will definitely be back.

Buffalo Peaks Lodge was a fantastic place to stay! The hosts are personable and charming. They sat down to breakfast with the guests and were full of good information, stories and recommendations. The accommodations were perfect! Everything was exactly as described and the perfect environment for a few days of hiking, sunshine and rest. Buena Vista is a hidden gem! The town is great and the people love being there. I cannot say enough great things about Buena Vista and in particular, about Buffalo Peaks Lodge. My husband and I strongly recommend it!

Had the opportunity to stay here while on a snow tubing trip to Leadville and could not have been a better stay! Mark and Paz (owners) were just incredible and the place is awesome. Room was spacious and extremely clean and comfortable and the views were second to none. Breakfast was perfect and the location is just great for anything around this area. Will definitely be planning a trip back to stay here again very soon. Thanks to our incredible hosts for a great stay!

Excellent facility. Nicely decorated, Our room (Mt. Princeton) was African themed, well carried out. The overall theme of the lodge was mountain log cabin. The only small downside was a lack of reading lighting but this was more than offset by the fabulous breakfasts. We would certainly stay here again.

This 5 Br B&B is in a home that's been renovated, with renovations to be complete after an October shutdown. The yard and setting is beautiful. About 1.1-ish miles from the main drag with the restaurants and shops. Very quiet on a 15 mph street and adjacent to a golf course.

We stayed in the Harvard room and had a private balcony with views of the beautiful yard and Mt. Princeton.

The hosts are great - they leave you be and are pleasant and happy to engage in conversation if you'd like.

The warm breakfast was outstanding - well above expectations.

They offer complimentary fruit, refreshments (water, pop, beer, wine, tea) throughout the day/evening.

They respectfully require masks inside (except when eating, of course), they requested the use of hand sanitizer before opening the fridges or touching common things - so that's great. The place was clean and neat.

No TV in the room, but that was OK.

We'd stay there again.
