We were in Buena Vista earlier this year and were looking for a "comfortable" place to spend the night. Lodging options are extremely limited in/around the city and we are glad that we found this hidden gem What I liked: Semi-secluded area, while being fairly close to the city core (5 minutes drive). Quiet surroundings. Very spacious room with more than enough space for our family. Comfortable bedding. Adequate temperature control. Very large bathroom with basic toiletries. Generous breakfast prepared by the hosts. Nice balcony. Interesting theming (safari) in the room assigned. Very friendly hosts. What to watch for/could be improved: Nothing Our only disappointment is that we had to rush in/rush out, due to scheduled activities so did not get to fully enjoy this really nice and relaxing place…
Such a charming home with wonderful hosts. Beautiful quiet location with mountain views and wildlife passing through the yard! Delicious breakfasts and snacks, comfortable rooms, and just a couple of minutes from town, this is a hidden gem!
This place is completely beautiful with a huge deck over looking the near by river and a beautiful mountain range. Another thing that makes this place do special is the huge amount of untouched land around it. You feel totally isolated even though it is only a mile from town. The only thing you can hear is the river and the birds. Saw a couple of deers. Incredible views from every aspect, every window I can go on and on but you have to see it first hand. The cabin was super clean and well stocked. Very comfortable. We went on amazing hikes on both sides of the valley, river rafting, loads to do in the summer. Even if you did nothing and just chilled at the cabin it would still be wonderful. Good service as well. Responsive and just a call or text away.
The owners home cook breakfast, the rooms are very clean and well maintained and made the experience a very enjoyable one. Very conveniently located to the collegiate peaks, white water rafting companies and restaurants downtown.
We needed a night to prepare for our hike of Mt. Elbert and be within an hour of the trailhead. Our stay at Buffalo Peaks was less than 12 hours, but we appreicated the comfortable bed, the cleanliness of the room and the early continental breakfast you provided. The Gatorades were much appreciated during our hike! Thank you!
