Great Hotel and room! Reasonable price and shuttle service! I recommend it to anyone and it’s family, pet and guest friendly! We appreciated the simplicity, hot tub and onsite restaurant! Only need is for some EV charging spots but other than that, great!

My fiancé and I drove up from Florida in 2 and half days to be at The Lodge in time for our reservation. I have to say all the front check-in, check-out staff was amazing! They were all super friendly at anytime of the day or night. The view from 201 was amazing! These were the only two things good about The Lodge. He and I was there hoping to book the place for our wedding venue. The Lodge wedding coordinator, who I had a prearranged appointment with from Florida, took one look at us and decided we weren't worth her time and spent about 15 mins with us while all the while acting like we were wasting her time. We booked the fireplace room, which is junk! It didn't matter what time, day or night, you couldn't see the flames. Nearly $500 a night. Definitely not worth the money. Free breakfast was no better then driving to 7-11. Drury Inn breakfast was way better! Best restaurant to eat there in Breckenridge is Mount Golian by far!

Don't stay here! The hotel and staff are very inflexible and is not like other friendly hotels. We couldn't make our trip and I tried to reach out but they wouldn't work with me. Only a brush off about their inflexible policy. Wasted 1300$! We travel a lot and I've never experienced this with an establishment. It's not like we wanted to cancel. Warning: if you want friendly and compassionate staff then go somewhere else!!

The room was so hot we had to turn the heat completely off even though it was in the teens outside. The altitude at the lodge is over 10k feet—if you are from anywhere close to sea level and are not accustomed to this, you will most likely not sleep, especially when combined with the heat. The bathroom was cramped and hard to do anything in, like dry hair, without bumping in to a door or cabinet. We decided to leave early because we needed a cooler room at a lower elevation, a hot breakfast, and a bigger bathroom. Notified staff the day before we wanted to leave. Only at checkout did they notify us of strict non refund policy, and we had already paid an additional $50 fee for late checkout so we had time to pack after a scheduled morning activity. Upside: the view was great and there was a fireplace.

Great overall experience. We stayed 3 nights and wanted to experience Breckenridge with a view and not just a stay down inside of town. With the Shuttle service you get both the best view of the mountains and access to the town. The restuarant was great with great drinks. Being able to stay in the 6th highest Lodge in the world (according to thrillist.com) was an amazing experience.

We stayed here for three nights February 8-11 and found the hotel to be a disappointment on many levels. First and foremost it was like staying at an overnight dog kennel there were so many guests with dogs. Why people feel the need to bring their flea ridden animals to hotels where many guests have allergies and do not appreciate their rooms being covered in dog hair and fleas and what not amazes us, but what makes it worse is the hotel allows-even encourages it! Totally unacceptable. The lobby is very unimpressive, the carpets throughout the hallways and down the stairs to the restaurant are very dirty and thrashed, and appear to not be vacuumed regularly. We had a top floor king corner suite that had an amazing view but that was the highlight. The room itself is fairly large, with a chair and couch that appeared to be fairly new and not worn out, and the carpet appeared to be in decent shape and not worn or spotted, but the bathroom was not acceptable. It is small-tiny in fact, with a tub/shower that at least appeared to have been recently caulked so no mold apparent, but there is evidence of water damage on the wall adjacent to the tub with bubbling sheet rock that appears to have been painted over which no doubt have the potential for mold covered up with fresh paint. On the plus side the towels were nice and appeared new, but the communal soap dispensers on the shower wall were mostly empty and the amenities were basic and unimpressive. There was a tiny kitchen with a Keurig machine but the coffee was weak and tasteless. They do provide complimentary coffee in the lobby if you wish to get dressed and go to the lobby. Nespresso machines would be a nice upgrade for sure. The "closet" was stuffed with a fan, oil filled heater, humidifier, and ironing board, which was nice, but they are stacked in the open closet area and gave the appearance of a junky room. They do provide a basic continental breakfast with coffee, cereals, juice and breakfast sandwiches that can be microwaved, but the highlight is a waffle maker which was a positive. Otherwise a fairly lackluster offering when they had a restaurant on site. We did not try the dinner offerings at Traverse. There is a shuttle to/from town which was nice although we did not use it. The overall ambience of the hotel is lacking, and the noise level in the rooms from adjacent room showers and toilet flushing is ever present, as was the barking dogs. This hotel in in serious need of improvement although the price point is indicative of you get what you pay for. We will not return.

Devon at the front desk is awesome! Our rooms were new, had incredible views and they went out of their way to put us together. The bartender is phenomenal, I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name but she was so personable. Truly had a great experience!

It is approximately 10,200 feet in elevation. Do some research and prepare for the change in altitude before you arrive, like using altitude sickness patches, obtaining the necessary oxygen info - how to transition from a low altitude to a high one. These high-altitude accommodations are rare, so we should treasure them. I wasn’t here for the skiing or whatever else the town has to offer. I wanted to be this high in altitude, so it worked for me and because of the reason that I wanted to be here. The ride from Denver airport to the Lodge was about 2.5 hours because there was no snow enroute that day, however, I’ve heard stories that it could take longer due to the weather – as long 7 hours, if there are traffic delays. There are shuttles that you can book from the DEN airport directly to the Lodge. I used Summit Express, which the Lodge also recommends. I wished the Traverse restaurant (food was good and $$$) was opened all day. It was only open from 4-9pm seven days a week in January. The inclusive breakfast (from 7-10am) could have been better since the restaurant isn't open until 4pm, and this location is all the way atop, so breakfast/food delivery from town required effort. There was a waffle making machine, packaged fruits, Jimmy Dean sandwiches, Nestle juices, energy bars, cereal, milk, pastries/croissants, bagels, and toaster, tea, coffee, Swiss hot chocolate, butter, jelly, cream cheese, maple syrup, and at times, yogurt. The walls of the room are thin, so you could hear people/dogs in the hallway, above, and the staircase. Pets are allowed though not in the restaurant. The views were amazing. There were two hot tubs outside, which I did not use. The convenient store was very basic – had two sizes of oxygen, a microwave, some hats/gloves/water bottles, hand warmers, sodas, water, microwavable Mac and cheese and an Indian dish, handmade jewelry, maybe some pharmaceuticals and a few snacks. The front desk staff was polite and helpful and was there 24/7. There is a cute fireplace (electric) and coffee in the somewhat lobby area. The Lodge is steady and strong. Love the wooden logs. I got one of the new rooms (LODGE 1 KING JUNIOR SUITE). My room didn’t include the two bottles of water per day even though I paid the additional 30% daily fee plus taxes. When I enquired about this, they said, it’s only when you arrive that you get the two bottles of water. What was odd, was that when I was enquiring at the front desk, a guest came up who was checking out, and she took two bottles of water out of the refrigerator in the convenient store. When the receptionist told her the price, she said, oh, I thought this was included with the room, the receptionist, said, okay, no problem, and the guest did not pay. Strange!!! I walked away in shock. My room didn’t have a bathtub, just a roll in shower. There were no options to hang clothes. I requested some hangers to see if I can hang some of my stuff on this structure in the room that looked like hangers could fit on the iron bar, but, they didn’t. There are drawers for placing clothes. There were no safety boxes for placing my valuables. I was told that the room is still being fixed up by someone in housekeeping. There was a robe in the room, but no slippers. When I asked for slippers, they said there was none. It’s hard to find this in town. I tried. There was a microwave and coffee maker in my room. The coffee was average. I wished there was room service, as the restaurant is in the Lodge itself. There was even a bar code in the room that said there was room delivery from the restaurant, but when I enquired, they said no and that I had to call in the order and pick it up from the restaurant. A 20% service fee is added to all orders from the Traverse restaurant – it’s not optional. Some of the staff said they didn’t speak English when I tried to converse with them during the breakfast or room cleaning service. The room was clean, and the cleaning service itself was good. NOTE, however, your room is only cleaned every three (3) days but that is for stays over 3 days. Make sure you are fine with this for shorter stays. The TV service was great. The heater in the room was a bit loud when it initially came on. There was a ceiling fan in the room, which helped circulate the dry air. The water pressure was great and there was always hot water. The internet was down briefly, but the staff worked quickly to get it back up. The Lodge shuttle was running well even when it was snowing - A LOT, though I didn’t use it. There are signs posted on the front doors to watch out for the wild animals. I believe there are moose, fox, and bears if they are not hibernating. I think there should be more information/literature from the Lodge about its high-altitude location and the effects on guests. I like that there were a diverse group of guests at the Lodge. People were friendly and courteous. There is a delivery service in town called, Warrior Express. I used them three times, and the food was always on time. I personally feel the rates are a bit overpriced at the Lodge at Breckenridge. I was expecting more luxury/comfort/quality for the price, which I what I wanted from my vacation. That said, I made the most out of what I wanted from this visit to the Lodge. I’m hoping to see some subtle improvements before returning.

The lodge is beautiful and very clean. The 360 views incredible. The complimentary Lodge shuttle to and from town and ski spots was so accommodating and convenient - you really don’t need a car once you arrive. It makes for a truly relaxing retreat!
