The entire kitchen had to be cleaned as it was filthy. The dishes had to be washed before they could be used because they had dried food on them. Carpets were filthy, beds are worn out along with pillows. We had to go buy new pillows so we could sleep. Asked to move rooms and was told there was no way with the place half full. Can't check in until 4:00 so there were 6 people all checking in at the same time. Could stagger check in every half hour. When someone walked through the hallways it woke up the entire building due to the floor moving in the room.
To start we came here during the covid scare so im sure the expierinece would be different at other times. the condo was clean and nice. When we booked did not realize the 3rd floor rooms have no balcony. The pool and common areas are closed. the restaurant on site is good but only open Thurs thru sunday. no front desk exept thur thru sunday. Proerty is a bit worn but overall ok. The staff was great.
We spent a week in the Lodge. The staff were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. The condo was comfortable, well-taken care of, and complete with needed supplies for kitchen and bath. The view of the Colorado Rockies was breathtaking each day. It was a short drive into Breckenridge, and we ventured to town each day. We easily prepared two meals a day in the condo, and we ate the third at an area restaurant. We used the indoor salt water pool, played ping pong, and went to the restaurant/bar for appetizers and drinks. We also bought snacks in the lobby. The lobby seating area and the restaurant/bar had nice fireplaces that kept the atmosphere cozy and warm. It did not matter what questions we had about the area, the staff were able to assist us. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return again.…
Our 20-year-old son decided to head to Breck a few weeks before we'd all go skiing. It was a bit late to find a reasonably-priced place in town so we found the Lodge by the Blue. A terrific alternative if you can live with the (free) bus schedule or have your own car. The front desk team was wonderful and very helpful in scheduling his stay. He enjoyed the suite and was able to cook some meals for himself. Definitely recommend.
This resort has a breathtaking view of Mount Quandry directly to the West. The morning sunrise hits the mountain first while the lodge is still in the dark. It offers a great hiking trail up the mountain right across the highway! The resort, while being older, is well maintained and the condos are well furnished. The resort has a restaurant on site that has a diverse menu nd is reasonably priced. The heated saltwater indoor swimming pool if well maintained and large enough to allow children to play and adults to swim. When we were there the indoor hot tub and been closed and they were in the process of building one outdoors. We have stayed there three different weeks, usually in October and have always been impressed with the staff and their availability and willingness to mee our needs. The resort is about a ten-minute drive from Breckenridge proper and, during the ski season, there is a shuttle that runs into town and the ski slopes. We will definitely go back! …
This is our second stay at Lodge by the Blue and we would hope to return here every time we come to the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Our enjoyment of the mountains begins every time we look out our windows and on this visit, a snow covering of trees and mountains was simply breathtaking. Apart from a perfect location in a mountain valley south of Breckenridge, the facility and staff are five star! Our rooms are always well prepared and relaxing, the pool is beautiful, fitness equipment appreciated and a beautiful lobby with fireplaces and even a piano which we enjoy. The staff is always personable and helpful and we have enjoyed their wondrous stories of encounters with wildlife in the area. If all of this were not enough, the cuisine and atmosphere of the Myla Rose Restaurant and Saloon is the icing on this mountain "cake!" We wish to sincerely thank the owners, management and staff for the memories we cherish of the heavenly view and experience of Lodge by the Blue.…
We love it here! We stay here every year while we visit family. The updates have been great! The staff is very nice and helpful. The view is gorgeous! The lodge is kept very clean and I am really picky about this. It meets all of our expectations!
The rooms are big! Absolutely loved it here. The kitchen is loaded with dishes, pots pans, ect. The room was clean. Showers are super hot. The heated pool was epic. Tip: go to the pool around sunset time. The massive windows point to the sunset. The mountains glow gold during the sunset. The elevation is something really to consider. Your over 10,000 feet up. They sell oxygen at the desk. I highly recommend them. Also USE THE HUMIDIFIER IN YOUR ROOM. The dry non stop heat will give you a headache from hell. The restaurant is very good. Best Ruben ive ever had. We will be coming back.
We stayed in a two bedroom/two bathroom on the third floor. Everything was clean and ready for our stay. We also had a comfortable living room and a kitchen which we used for the majority of our stay. Staff was super friendly. Very close to downtown Breckenridge. Would definitely stay again.
