I should have listened to the other reviews. My trip was great yet ended on a horrible note. The reason I chose this location was due to the FREE parking they advertise on thier website, and, well...everywhere. They do NOT offer free parking, because I recieved a $77 ticket for parking in the hotel parking garage. Upon arrival, the staff hands you a map and circles your building, and the area which you can park. They assure you, that "everything is color coded and easy to understand". Here's the problem: When you make your way down into the garage, if you are staying in the WEST building which is marked as "A" on the map they hand you - the elevator section is coded green. If you are staying in the EAST building which is coded "B" on the map they hand you, the elevator section is coded yellow. However, if you are staying the WEST building, you can only park in the yellow A parking and if you are staying in the EAST building, you can only park in the green B parking. Still following? After trying to figure that out (on my own, because the staff doesn't bother to explain this clearly), I understood I needed to park in the yellow A section for my building. I displayed my parking tag as instructed clearly on the rearview mirror. I went through the little gate in the garage, only to see that there was no clearly marked parking for yellow "A", but there was an abundance of green "B" parking. Another thing they do not explain upon check in, is there are only a very limited number of spots availible in the yellow A section - if any - so, any vehicle that is large and takes up 2 spots or anyone who doesn't know how to park, taking up 2 spots, really limits your parking capability. After walking around the garage, trying to figure out how and where I could park, a large truck that was taking up two spots, finally moved out of a yellow "A" section, so I immedietly parked my car there. On either side of my car, I saw nothing but "A" on the concrete columns which had yellow and was near the yellow painted elevator. You can imagine my suprise when we go to leave at the end of my stay, where I discover a parking ticket for $77 on my windshield. Thinking it was a big mistake, I went to the front desk to speak to someone about it and Christina was there. I explained the situation and she assured me that "the HOA always waives the tickets when this happens." She took the ticket from me. I asked for some type of confirmation (she kept taking calls even though I was in front of her, which made me feel like I was bothering her) and she said I could take a photo of the ticket, but she needed the ticket in order to get it waived. She said someone wouldn't be in until Tuesday to confirm that my ticket was voided. Instead, I get a call back from Christina on Monday to inform me via voicemail that the picture on the parking ticket CLEARLY shows I am parked in retail parking and I will need to pay this fine. Are you kidding me? I pay $800+ to stay at this hotel due to the advertised free parking, dispay my parking tag clearly on my mirror, and then I recieve a parking fine for parking in the yellow "A" marked area? Do yourself a favor and do not stay at this location. The map doesn't really match the actual parking situation in the garage, and frankly, it's extremely confusing and not well explained by the staff upon check in. Christina could have taken the time to listen to me, look at the ticket received, reviewing the photo on the ticket as well as my own photos that I offered to show her, but she didn't bother. I felt like I was brushed off in the moment, with every intention of calling me the next day to tell me: too bad, so sad - you have to pay this afterall. What a waste of money and time. Do not stay here unless you plan to pay almost $100 extra for parking fines.…
We stayed in the Main Street Station, Unit #1503, for a week with our family. The location is great...walking distance to the slopes and Main Street! But it is hard to explain in a short review all the disappointments we experienced with the condo itself and communication with management...or lack thereof. First, the front desk people sent us down to the parking garage to find the “green” elevator that would take us to our condo. There is no signage and after wondering around the garage with all our luggage, we finally had to call someone down to show us. It was beyond frustrating. When the ski valet guys attempted to bring us our skis, they had to call 3 times because they were given wrong directions within the buildings. It was like the Twilight Zone! The mattresses were so hard and uncomfortable in every bedroom...such a disappointment at the end of a long day on the slopes when you need a good night’s sleep. That is unacceptable by any standard! The furniture in the living room is so worn out that you can feel the frame through the cushions on the chairs and couch. The info book for the condo had a non-working number for Great Western, the management company. There were no instructions about how to reserve time in the pool or in the fitness area. And when I tried to find out who had this information, I had to make multiple phone calls because I was told over and over, “Oh, that’s not one of our properties.” And then I was given another wrong number to call. If it weren’t for the location, I think our review would be a 1 star. I sent a message through our travel agent that the owner of this condo should not be allowed to rent it until all these issues are addressed and the items updated. We would NOT recommend this unit to ANYONE! …
This place is aging poorly and overpriced. Only thing going for it is location to Main Street and walkability. We stayed on the top level #2404 are were not informed at time of booking that the condo still had some construction work to be completed. See photo. We had to call ahead to find out that hot tubs and fitness center not available (Why not inform people pre-booking?). Bathmats dirty, no batteries in tv remote. Only one day's worth of coffee supplied etc. Will not be staying here again.
We stayed in Main Street Station 3402. The description said to" enjoy the view on your private balcony"... it went downhill from there. The "balcony" is a cat walk, not wide enough for even a chair. We chose this place because we were looking forward to time outside on our "private balcony". When I contacted management, I was told that because we booked directly with VACASA, THE management company there was nothing they could do for us. Katie at the front desk said she would contact the manager and that he would be contacting me... didn't happen. The website says they allow 1 day in between stays for cleaning. When we came to check in the unit had just been cleaned from a rental that left THAT morning. We were asked to take off our shoes at the door. After walking around the unit for a little while I notice the bottom of my feet were BLACK. The floor was filthy! It was soo bad that I had to wash my feet before I could get into the bed. There was women's hair all over the couches and all over the bedspread in the master bedroom. The counter tops were BLACK as well, with dried on food. There were TWO pans, both of which should have been thrown away. The ice maker did not work, there was ONE rack in the oven and someone put coffee grounds in the water reservoir of the coffee maker so the brewed coffee was full of grounds. There was no spatula, try flipping eggs or pancakes with a wooden spoon!! The dishwasher is missing many wheels and so you had LIFT the shelves out to put the dishes in and out, VERY outdated. This unit was large and spacious and VERY expensive. I truly felt like were were sold a bill of goods and would NOT recommend Vacasa rentals to anyone. All and all a very disappointing vacation and use of my hard earned money.…
We are frequent rci points travelers, and these units are not 106000 points worthy. We were traveling with another family who also stayed in Breckenridge, at Peak 7, their place would have been worth the points. Main Street was close to downtown, the layout of the property was very confusing, always walking in circles, the maps were poorly designed. Loved the access to all things that were downtown. The unit was noisy, it opened onto the open patio that had street vendors from early morning to late afternoon. The pool was completely dis-jointed from the rest of the property, and amenities were in different parts of the property. Generally a weird layout.
We (my husband, 12 year old twins, and myself) recently stayed in a one bedroom condo at Main Street Station. The room itself is a very typical ski condo. We appreciated that the living/kitchen area was spacious and had a good layout. The bedroom was a bit tight, but had enough dressers/closet space and had a king bed. There’s not a washer dryer in the unit, but there was a free one just steps from our door. The decor was somewhat dated and we could have used more pressure in the shower - but otherwise, we were completely happy with our clean, quiet, and comfortable unit. We were in Unit 3303 and I recommend the 3000 building. It’s nice to have reception, the ski valet, a gym, and 3 hot tubs - without having to go to another building. Finally, the best reason to stay at Main Street Station is its location. There really isn’t anywhere in town that isn’t accessible on foot from here. And there’s tons to see, do, and eat within a few steps. Also, it’s just a short walk to the lifts and even shorter to the Village ski school. Anywhere you can’t/don’t want to walk to is a short, free shuttle ride away. We would definitely stay here again based on comfort and convenience. …
Location was great and easy walk to restaurants. Complex is confusing and parking garage is tight for larger vehicles. No air conditioning; however, plenty cool with windows open if you can handle the street noise.
We booked two nights at this location, and would have extended our stay, had it not been reserved by another family. The property is located at one end of the main strip, but you can walk, take the trolley or reserve the van shuttle to get you where you want to go. Nice pool, river runs along the property, hiking behind the property. Sundays in summer offer an outdoor market in the courtyard. Plenty of dining nearby, but condos have full kitchens. Quiet, clean, safe. We rented our condo through Great Western Lodging, and they were fantastic. The condo we booked was really (REALLY) reasonably priced, and it makes sense with the additional cleaning fee to book multiple days.
Our kids decided Breckenridge was the perfect place for our biannual family reunion. After much research I choose the spot, Main Street Station and it did not disappoint !! The condos were beautiful and well maintained and I Didn't have a bad review from anyone in my large extended family, that's amazing ! The location is unbeatable in all our minds. I have to give it up for Chris Sullivan with Wyndham Properties Management Group, he set up a group rate and a private 800 number for the family, helped me with all my options for a catered dinner and it was fabulous! Thanks Chris for all your help and Main Street Station being the perfect spot for my family! Nancy Murphy Ward
I love Main Street Station because it is home to Continental Divide Winery and Quandary Grille, but it is also a really lovely location. Today we walked over to the bridge and saw the people trout fishing and just soaked in the atmosphere. It is a nice place to walk around and people watch too.
