Nothing in the literature about the fact that you may have to take as many as three elevators and walk a quarter mile from parking to your room. This was an issue for my wife. I get it. They built it into a hillside in a mountain town, but a warning would have been appropriate. No mention in the literature of the fact that there is no AC, and our south facing room got sun all day, so it was extremely warm and stuffy with only a window that opened 6” and a fan to cool it off. Our room windows opened onto a flat white roof right at the level of the windows. For the first two days of our stay, there was a smell in the hallway like a small animal was decomposing - I mean that literally. The bathroom was so small that you could not open the door completely without hitting the shower rod. The second elevator (from the 7th floor down to parking) was not working when we checked out and I had to haul our suitcases down the stairs. Digital key did not work. App checkout did not work. And worst of all, when I mentioned to the manager on duty at checkout that this was not the best Doubletree experience I had ever had, his response was not “I’m so sorry” or “What can I do to make it right” (The Hilton promise?), but “Why not?”. I would not recommend this location at all.

I get that skiing required lots of equipment and the property is going to take a beating but the owners surely are also aware of this. This property certainly shows A LOT of wear and tear. If they're going to offer an inferior property they should lower their prices. Clean it up Hilton and the elevator situation is very inconvenient (go down 2 floors, walk down the hall, get another elevator......)

The evening we checked in, our room was 85°. I called the front desk after trying to change the thermostat, when we were notified this hotel doesn't have air conditioning. She recommended we open the window and use the fan. She said within about an hour the room should feel better. Needless to say, after leaving the window open overnight with the fan in the window (real classy), it was 73° when we woke up to leave the following morning. The hotel is in major need of some updating. The room was clean overall, but very old. The bed was very uncomfortable. The room had a large TV and plenty of channels to watch while baking like a Thanksgiving turkey. Go elsewhere.

The room was very large with lots of drawers to put things away. The bathroom was small. The door into the bath almost hit the stool. They were offering no services. The parking garage was dirty. It is in a good location just a couple blocks from downtown.
