This hotel is located just steps away from Breckenridge's walkable business district and is directly across the street from the popular Breckenridge Brewery as well as the newer location of Broken Compass Brewing. The hotel is reasonably attractive, inside and out. For a residence suite, the room is of just modest size, but has a full kitchen and decent dining table. It has a big television and everything is very clean. The bathroom is small to modest size and include an oddly placed door stopper mounted to the floor near the bathtub where the bathmat would typically be placed, so it's easy to accidentally hit when entering or exiting the tub/shower. The bathroom lacks a fan. The front desk staff was nice. Free parking is appreciated, though it should be with the cost of the rooms. I do wish Residence Inns gave higher tier Bonvoy at least a little more love rather than just "points or a pantry item" -- some bottles of water would be a welcome addition. The breakfast was fair, but kudos to them for offering both hot and cold items, with guests choosing what they want. On that note, I wish they'd put the coffee and tea out for self-service. A nearby hand sanitizer dispenser can mitigate as well as anything.

This is a Marriott property worthy of the brand. The front desk staff are very well trained, polite, and amazing! The front desk personnel knew shuttle schedules and gave great tips about the ski hills and sights.

The cleaning staff took their jobs very seriously and you never, ever saw a staff member without a mask. The hotel was always spotless, even though there were constantly people stomping in and out with snowy ski boots.

The hotel is pretty much everything you’d want in a ski hotel, even though the common areas and pool were limited due to Covid. There is a ski (not for boots, just skis and snowboard) storage area near the front desk so you don’t have to bring your skis to the room.

We’ve booked the hotel for another long stay next year.

My only advice would be to add a warming room for ski boots for storage overnight.

Checking out today so leaving a review while it’s all fresh in my mind. The hotel is very clean and in a great location. The breakfast is good, but it does get extremely crowded. The staff working the breakfast buffet work very hard at keeping it going smoothly and replenished. We had a studio room and it was spacious and clean. Loved the kitchenette and counter space in bathroom. We did not use it, but they do have a laundry room so guests can wash/dry clothes. The shuttle to the gondola was fast and convenient.

To me, 5 stars mean PERFECT and no improvement needed. I’m leaving 4 stars for a couple reasons.

1. No housekeeping. You can request it, but it’s not automatically provided - even for a 5 night stay. There were a lot of housekeeping carts in the hall so I replenished our towels myself and emptied our trash. I could have called and requested it, but did not want to deal with calling. For $600+ a night it would be nice if it was provided (w/o asking after 2 or 3 nights. All hotels are not offering maid service these days and it’s probably the way it will be forever. Cutting costs and using Covid as the forever reason. Guests should never even have to consider cleaning their own room.

2. No recognition whatsoever and no benefits for Marriott Gold. This seems to be an ongoing thing for Marriott so I’m not too surprised.

3. Walls seem to be very thin. I could hear everything in the hallway and it felt like they were playing tennis in the room above me.

Hotel is close to Main St on the far south end. Easy walk to everything and Main Station is across the street for the free buses.

Breakfast is ample and is a full American breakfast. Only complaint is lack of adequate tables. Food is good and hot.

The rooms are kept clean and well appointed. Although there is no 24/7 coffee in the lounge you do have coffee in your room. The rooms have a kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge, utensils and dishwasher. Easily can prepare meals and groceries available at City Market aka Kroger.

The bar is my disappointment. The bar is open Thursday to Monday from 3 pm to 9 pm. They have happy hour 3-5 pm but don’t honor happy hour prices posted; they charge full price. They have a limited menu, no dining room and I did not see anyone order pub food. They advertise live music Thursdays but again I didn’t see any live music, just the piped in overhead music in the lobby.

Parking is ample and free. They have a heated garage with parking for compact cars.

There are many options for hotels in Breck and this one is a good choice if you come here during the summer as it has AC; a lot of hotels do not and at altitude you appreciate AC after a day of hiking or biking.

The room was AWFUL. Terrible view (2nd floor; side of the hill), smelled like mildew, thin towels, no cleaning service, sterile decor.
(Garbage disposal was blocked when we arrived - another bad smell until they cleared it. Mildew smell the rest of the time.) We requested a "towel refresh" two days because they were only servicing the rooms upon request. No service one day; left towels outside of door the second. Pool a weird green color - looked dirty. Staff was friendly - beds comfortable. Great location.

Spent quite a bit of time looking for VRBOs and hotels to stay at before deciding on this place. It was reasonable and at one end of Main Street so that you could just come out of the hotel and walk a half-block to the main shopping street. Nice staff (Jenna) , spacious rooms, and nice complimentary breakfast. I'd stay here everytime.

This was a great hotel for a ski trip. We were a couple, but I would for sure recommend for families. The rooms and bathrooms are large. The free breakfast is plentiful, although it can be crowded at certain times. The free shuttle to two locations on the mountain (lift 9 and lift 7) were convenient and we never had to wait. They do provide a phone number though that you can call the shuttle drive. The pool and hot tub outside on the 3rd floor have an amazing view of the mountain. They provide a room for ski and pole storage right inside the front door. Loved the heated parking garage that was very easily accessible from the hotel. The hotel is centrally located to walk down Main Street or Ridge Street. No car needed once you arrive.

We stayed in the main hotel building. The Residence Inn was fully booked (June 30) and we were on the 3rd floor. Elevator service was fine, there was a very convenient indoor parking garage and the main downtown Breckenridge was very walkably close. Right across the street was the Breckenridge brewery. The hotel required everyone wear masks and provided them if you didn't have them. Breakfast was "grab and go'...pretty limited but OK. Oranges, coffee, granola bar, OJ, milk, cereals, a few yogurts, and packaged egg roll-ups. You had to take everything to your room....no eating at or near the dining room. So pretty far from the normal Residence Inn breakfast but it was all that they could do. It was odd to have everyone masked....but that's the time we're living in during this pandemic. The town was extremely quiet with alot closed and signage about limiting occupants in stores, using every other swing in the local playground, etc. All the restaurants were limiting occupants and people were eating outside even though it was surprisingly cool.

Loved this hotel! One of the reason we chose this hotel was for location. It is right on the end of the downtown area, easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Also, it was located next to many biking trails we wanted to ride, without having to drive. We actually left out truck parked without moving it all week! We were allowed to keep our mountain bikes in the room, but they did also have a storage unit on the main floor. The other major reason we stayed here was for the ability to bring our two cats with us. We picked a one bedroom unit, plenty of space for two people and two cats. There is a pet fee, but it is a one time fee. $100 for first pet, $50 for second. This was fine since we stayed a week, but might be pricey if you only stay a day or two. The rooms were nice and clean and did not smell like pets.

We worried about housekeeping entering our room when we were gone but the hotel gave us a tag to hang on our door that indicated pets were in the room. It is already arranged that rooms that have this tag are not entered, unless that room specifically arranges with housekeeping to come in on a certain day. In that case you have to remove your pets from the room during that time. We never did this, we just let the front desk know when we needed new items and housekeeping brought it up for us.

There are three floors to the hotel and it's shaped in a large U. We were in an end unit, which was really nice to have extra windows. We were located near a stairwell, but if you wanted the elevator, you had to walk to the middle of the U to get to the only elevator area. It wasn't a big deal for most of the week, but good to be aware of. It was also really nice to have air conditioning, it was very warm in July.

Overall this was a great hotel to stay in and we would happily stay again when we come back to Breckenridge!

Stayed at the Residence Inn in Breckenridge in June 2020. The staff were outstanding and very accommodating. The room was excellent and clean. My room was a suite with the kitchenette with dishwasher, full fridge and microwave. It was stocked with silverware and dishes. The location is convenient to downtown Breckenridge. Parking was free. Highly recommend this hotel from solo to families.
