Perfect location, large room, and friendly staff at the base of Strawberry Park lift! We walked into town for breakfast at Rimini cafe, then to the first-floor ski valet and up the lift. I can't imagine a better location in Beaver Creek.
If you are wanting a perfect location in Beaver Creek then it doesn’t get any better than The Osprey. The Strawberry Park lift is steps away after putting your ski books on. Loved Sam the nice Ski valet. Due to COVID the lunch menu is limited but they smoke their wings outback and they are delicious. Hot tub and heated pool were both awesome! We will be back
We recently spent 4 nights at Osprey as part of a Ski / Snowboard week in Winter Park / Vail. It's literally 15 steps from the back door to the line at Strawberry Peak Express lift, I'm told it's the absolute closest resort to lift in North America. Even though Osprey relies on seasonal workers as do most resorts, I was quite impressed with the overall level of personal service we received. Sam, the Ski/Snowboard valet was super helpful and watched out for our gear and got us on / off the mountain conveniently. Great hot tub, pool, sauna and steam room for apres. My only very minor complaint is that I think their draft beer system design could be improved, they seemed to have major issues with fully foamed draft beer every day.
We completely enjoyed everything about the Osprey. We were on the Strawberry lift in 15minutes from getting out of the car upon arrival. Jack, at the front desk, welcomed us and had our luggage on the way up to the room in 2-3 minutes! The skis/boots were taken to Patrick, the ski valet, was waiting for us. Just fantastic! Patrick was waiting at the door when we finished. Danielle made the breakfast buffet easy and personalized. Sam the new valet gave the same wonderful service as Patrick. No carrying skis and warmed boots makes the ski experience over the top. Covid precautions were excellent. Smiling eyes everywhere. Kori and Jackie, the managers, have assembled an incredible staff during these tough times. They must be doing something right.
This probably is the best hotel in beaver creek, the staff was extremely friendly and the location was amazing! Seriously, right in front of one of the chairlifts Strawberry park express lift. Let’s get to the room, the beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious you could say, and the bathroom was pretty big! Now the last thing I want to mention is the restaurant! That was the best part about it! I had some pancakes for breakfast, and pasta for dinner and it probably has to be one of my favorite restaurants! So this hotel was amazing and I will be back for the same amazing experience!
Wonderful hotel! This was an intimate, clean and well staffed hotel. Complimentary car service to Avon. Ski valet was convenient and prompt. Two ski lifts at hotel door. Food was good and easy in the dining room. I loved this place and will be returning!
We had a wonderful stay at the Osprey. It was everything I hoped it would be. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and helpful. Directly across the street is Beaver Creek Village which we spent 2 hours walking around and shopping before check-in. Check-in was very prompt, even a little early. Although we did not visit the restaurant or bar, there were lots of nice dining options within 2-3 minute walk. For sushi or seafood, Hook was a great place to eat. The Beaver Creek Chophouse was exceptional, but you do need a reservation. Vail Mountain Coffee was close by, but not worth the price and late opening time. We got great coffee from the Osprey lobby (Starbucks)! I would highly recommend staying here for a relaxing weekend getaway.
The osprey was the perfect ski lodging for our Beaver Creek vacation. The staff was amazing, super up-beat, friendly and helpful. Valet provided shuttle service to restaurants in BC, and the ski valet gave great service and advice on favorite runs. Room was comfortable and pool and hot tub were nice. All in all, excellent service and value. Will return.
The Osprey at Beaver Creek did an amazing job with their services and hospitality during the Covid pandemic. The entire staff was well trained and helpful. The cleanliness of all areas of the hotel was superb and all staff and guests complied with mask regulations. We had a very comfortable, safe and relaxing stay.
... you don’t need dining services! We really enjoyed our 7 days family stay this February in this nice and relatively small hotel in the center of Beaver Creek village. Pros: - The location close to everything in Beaver Creek village: ski lift can’t be closer, ski school, ski in/ski out, restaurants and shops -The modern, comfy large bedrooms (ok for 4, 2 kids, 2 adults) -Great comfortable beds -overall clean, good housekeeping -Great toiletries from Lather -Nice and helpful staff: valet ski, Ian, was top notch and made our life easier! -Complimentary Starbucks coffee the morning in the lobby, and coffee machine in the room as well as daily fresh water from the mountain, cereal bars and soda. -Jacuzzi and heated pool.... but see in cons : facing a parking -Free laundry, so convenient! -Good WiFi speed -Turn down services with chocolate 😀 -One complementary dvd movie rental, HBO available Family friendly Cons: - definitely the lack of decent dining options. I can’t understand why the management is not doing anything despite all the criticisms. The breakfast buffet at $28 is a joke. See pic, really few options, not appealing, often empty...no “a la carte option”. So the morning you have either to buy your own food and bring it into your room or go to Starbucks or to the crêperie outside, hopefully not that far. We didn’t try the diner here because of the bad reviews and the lack of options on the menu : the restaurant was often empty at night... really sad! -The noise coming sometimes from other rooms and corridors: not super soundproof. -At the pool, the view on the parking is not great: they should plant some trees! - The sound coming from the Strawberry lift from 7am to 4:30pm if your room is located on the lift side ( when it has an odd number) - The elevator is really slow Conclusion: a serious option to consider for skiing in Beaver Creek and being close to everything. Let’s hope there will be some changes soon for dining, then it will be a 5 stars review!!! Note that if you book few months in advance, you can get a room for a decent price! Last thing : avoid rooms on the 1st floor: too much traffic!…
