Had a wonderful experience! Dan Dickhart and Allison Usher were amazing and super helpful in making the weekend special for me and my partner. Really terrific customer service, and I would highly recommend staying here to celebrate a special occasion. My only issue is we had cleaning service come into our room 2x during our late checkout (through Amex) and I had to call down to the front desk and ask them to stop entering the room. Otherwise wonderful visit to a beautiful property!

As you can see from my other reviews, I'm not a high maintenance traveler. However, this property was very disappointing. 1. I requested an early check in of 1pm. I am a gold elite Marriott and had requested the early check in ahead of time. When I arrived at 1pm, I was told the room wasn't ready. That's fine, they don't guarantee check in until 4pm. However, my room wasn't ready until after 3pm. They had told me that they were cleaning my room but it took over 2 hours. 2. They said they were upgrading me to a better room. Yes, it was on the 8th floor, Club Level. However, it faced the valley and was an accessible room with no bathtub. I asked to change rooms (which I never do). They put me on the 2nd floor, facing the valley and the road. It had a fireplace and a tub. 3. I went to the gym at 4:15pm to use the Peloton. I walked in, got the bike set up, logged in, and began my work out. 6 minutes into my workout, the attendant came over and told me that the gym closes in 5 minutes. I was appalled that she hadn't mentioned something when I walked in and started setting up. And then she said in an impolite tone, "Didn't you read the sign?" I had been in the gym the day before and didn't notice any signs. The hotel is still charging a resort fee of $50/day but the gym closes at 4:30pm and the spa facilities are closed. I had hoped that they would have credited the $50 fee for the inconvenience. 4. Breakfast room service - on my last day, there was a miscommunication and the food was never delivered. They thought I was coming up to get it. They said that it was now cold so they would remake it and deliver it. The food showed up 20 minutes later in cardboard boxes and a paper bag (no plates, glasses, etc.) and yet they charged me the service fee for room service. My breakfast was included in my rate so it shouldn't have made a difference. I was disappointed at nearly every service interaction at this hotel. In addition, some of the towels and robe had holes in them. The location is beautiful and it could be a decent property. I would suggest looking elsewhere for a high-end experience.

Needless to say the hotel exceeded my high expectations. My wife and I stayed for our honeymoon and the staff went above and beyond, the spa was incredible (do the copper tub soak, worth the money), and the food was the best we had in the area (given it was the shoulder season). Will certainly be returning.

We splurge for Ritz Carlton stays when we can in places such as Bal Harbour, Berlin, Naples, Aruba, Dove Mountain, etc. This was the best property, from a location and service perspective, that we have been to thus far. I have found many hotels are struggling to adjust to covid. This property did it masterfully. They removed the resort fee as many services were not being offered. All employees were masked and yet maintained their service level and warmth. The property is incredible. Even the valet circle is beautifully decorated. The outdoor space looks onto Bachelor Gulch with plenty of opportunity for all sorts of outdoor activities. We had an incredible long weekend in off season (at a very reasonable rate) and hope to be back for ski season or the summer

This is my very first review of a hotel or restaurant, but our family experiences at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch have been so lousy I feel compelled to review. In May 2019 we stayed at the property with our 2 young daughters. Our 8 year old cut her foot/heel very badly on a piece of glass at the pool and the customer service surrounding the incident was HORRIBLE! In hindsight we should have taken her to the Emergency Room to have stiches/glue, but we were trusting the medical technician on the property. We did contact the hotel after our stay to let them know our feelings, but all we received was an email with an empty promise for a complimentary night. We ended up checking out of The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch and checking into the Westin!!! In October 2020 our family decided to give the hotel another. Once again we were very disappointed with the customer service- over 30 minutes to have our bags delivered to our room & when we said we would bring them up ourselves (our girls were eager to swim) we were told that we "could not touch our bags.") Upon taking our girls to the pool we were told the pool was closing due to staffing. We could have checked pool hours before booking, but they also could have communicated this upon check in. In the morning my husband waited over 30 minuted for 2 coffees in the downstairs lobby. Both times we stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch we were debating staying at the Westin. I am writing this review to communicate that the customer service at Bachelors Gulch is subpar at best. Skip staying at this property and do yourself a favor and book the Westin!
