My 2 friends and I were rescued from a muddy mountain road and taken 35 miles to Basalt to find a hotel and contact AAA. We arrived at the Basalt Mountain Inn late in the day just before the desk clerk went off duty. She found us a two room suite for the night. The next morning, manager Zach Fischer... More

We spent two nights and have no complaints - 1) was clean 2) folks working here were cool and pleasant to deal with 3) walking distance to several places to eat and / or drink 4) priced good for being close to Aspen 5) If we go back to Basalt we will stay here again!

This is the first time I have posted a review and just have to let travelers know how clean and pleasant and reasonably priced this beautiful inn is! It's not fancy or fussy, so very refreshing to come after an enjoyable day of fishing the frying pan! Thank you!

Situated in the middle of town, you can walk anywhere you need to go including the two fishing shops close by. Both the Frying Pan and Roaring Fork rivers are within easy walking distance. Bars, restaurants and shops also nearby. We got a super king size bed, shower bathroom and comfortable living room with TV, fridge and Keurig coffee maker.... More

Stayed here for 5 nights visiting relatives. Bedrooms small but living area great size with microwave and fridge- bonus! Walking distance to beautiful river and lots of restaurants and little shops. Close to Aspen and Snowmass for skiing or site seeing. Free breakfast worked great for us - quick and easy. Office let us know about a rock slide so... More

We stayed in one of their suites for two nights. The rooms are all recently remodeled and sparkling clean and new. The inn is located in downtown Basalt and is a 2 minute walk to several restaurants. Not sure about the problems some others have mentioned with the staff--the person we dealt with was friendly and helpful. Our one suggestion... More

I stayed here for business for a week. Thought everyone was pleasant and the rooms were clean and roomy loved the atmosphere of the town and every thing was within walking distance. The only thing with staying for a week was there wasn't a laundry. But there was one 5 min away.

It's disappointing that in a small quaint town like Basalt, that there has to be such rude employees who don't know how to do their job, nor care about the lasting impression they make on their customers. From the very beginning (a year before the wedding) mistakes were made and mis-information given. The wedding date had to be changed. After... More

Just like the previous review from this group I will say the same thing. This group was juvenile, rude, and had a feeling of entitlement. A year before the wedding this group came and looked at the property and said they liked it and left. In the meantime another group came in and liked it as well and put a... More

Stayed with a bunch of people here for a wedding and found the staff to be the rudest bunch of people I have ever come in contact with. Made a bunch of mistakes with the groups I checked in with and then tried to tell us it was because we had made so many changes. Rude and incompetent. The woman... More

After hosting many weddings we have never came across a group that behaved the way that this group did. They actually said that they were proud of being the worst group that we've ever had. Numerous people in the group either cancelled or tried to get out of the 2 night minimum that is in effect on people who take... More
