My wife and I stayed here from January 2-3 in room 21 and we were thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail. The moment we checked in, we were greeted with glasses of bubbly, then escorted to our room with a description of everything available as hotel guests.
The service, bed/sheets/pillows, decor, pool/hot tub, the plush heavy-soft robes, big soaking tub with bath salt, water in the fridge.. all of the touches were exceptional. Even going as far as personalizing the room key sleeve with my wife’s name along with a personalized note waiting for us in the room.
You almost forget how small and intimate this hotel is. Being nestled in on one end of Yountville, you’re in walking distance to fantastic restaurants and tasting rooms. Looking forward to coming back really soon and hopefully being able to stay multiple nights. Thank you to all of the staff and house keeping for an amazing stay!

We are on road trip 2020 driving from Seattle and did lots of research before deciding on North block for our Napa stay. They were incredibly friendly, the property was immaculate, and the premiere king room was beautiful. All the staff wore masks and all the guests I saw had masks on as well. It was safe and clean and the spa and restaurant we’re closed in keeping with the governors requirements. With only 20 rooms, the hotel is very quiet. Our favorite parts were 1) Great location within walking distance to restaurants, bakeries, hikes, gardens, wine tasting in downtown yountville 2) Gorgeous pool area with hardly anyone else there 3) Super fancy complementary electric bikes that allowed us to cruise throughout the beautiful countryside 4) Complementary gift cards to Yountville’s award winning bakeries! 5) Comfortable bed and lovely patio where we could enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings. We also walked to dinner at Brix (3 mile beautiful back-roads walk) and uber-ed home which made for an amazing last night! Would highly highly recommend this place. My husband and I stayed at North Block hotel for 6 nights during our honeymoon. The hotel was top notch down to every little detail and the customer service exceeded my expectations. Carter was super friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help out no matter the question or request. It was our first time in the Napa valley area and we used Carter as a resource and enjoyed seeing him to chat when he was working. They also have local wine in the afternoons and are very generous with the amount that you can have (at least in the off season of January).
We stayed on the second floor and had a view of the mountains. The beds were extremely comfy and the bathroom had heated floors and a large bathtub ---so luxurious. The shampoo, soap and bath salts smelled heavenly. I could not recommend this hotel enough. I was truly sad to leave. North Block hotel made our honeymoon week even more spectacular.

I had actually not heard of North Block Hotel before. It came to my attention because their restaurant was to reopen in the spring with a new chef who happened to be a friend from New York City. I decided to set up a trip up to check out the restaurant (which was great) and made a splurge trip of it by staying at the hotel as well. It was a great idea! Even though the hotel was scheduled to be full, it never felt crowded during my stay. Right from the initial greeting experience, I knew Carter and the rest of the staff were there to make sure I had the best stay possible. The pool area has areas where small groups can sit and converse easily, which was great, as this trip was a meet-up with friends. The hotel and restaurant staff were all very friendly and helped you out with anything you would need. The beverage offerings in the lobby for guests (wine selections during the afternoon and whiskies in the early evening) were nice touches.
My room was very comfortable. A half-bottle of wine and a selection of local chocolates awaited me in the room when i arrived. I had a King Deluxe room on the ground floor (nice big separate tub), and while i did occasionally hear other guests go up and down the stairs (all room entrances face the outdoor courtyard), i never heard anyone walking around above my room. It was very peaceful overall.
The ONLY thing missing from the stay to make it complete was a breakfast service. They haven't been able to bring it back yet due to staffing shortages. But there was coffee and tea in the lobby, and it was a pleasant walk down to Bouchon Bakery to pick up some breakfast items.
I definitely will return!

Our stay at this Hotel was just fantastic! Why you ask? Well for 3 simple reasons! The hotel grounds are quaint and inviting. Loved the plants and the nightly lite outdoor candles. Next, our room was immaculately clean! During this Covid time we are all a little more sensitive about surfaces being clean. In addition, the personalized turn down service was such a nice surprise. Finally, your entire staff are welcoming and fun! Everyone we spoke to; the groundskeeper, the concierge and the bellhop were all friendly and helpful. When we would see a member of the staff they would always ask if we needed anything and if we did, they were right on it!

My wife, daughter and I stayed three nights at the North Block Hotel in late March, as part of a weekend wine trip. This was our first visit to Napa Valley, and we really enjoyed our stay.
The most obvious and appealing aspect to this property is its location in Yountville. It has quick access to the highway, and free parking is provided. If you plan to eat at any of the revered restaurants in the area, this hotel is perfectly situated within short walking distances.
What I’ll remember most about the hotel is the beautiful, cozy courtyard around which the rooms are situated. It was just so damn pleasant that we found ourselves hanging out with cocktails or wine each night. The restaurant/bar is quite popular, too!
My wife and daughter LOVED the quality of the towels, bed linens and high-quality bath amenities. "Best towel ever” was mentioned a few times during our stay, which reflects the quality of North Block.
The staff here was friendly, helpful, and engaging, far above the norm. I was always impressed how happy they seemed, even early in the morning when I went for some of the delicious, free coffee that is in the lobby.
We have nothing negative to say about our stay or the property, but we did start to tire of the complimentary, elevated continental breakfast. It was basically the same offerings each day, and heavily focused on breads. We might opt for a nearby breakfast option during our next stay.
Loved the property. Highly recommended!

My husband and I recently spent 3 nights at the north block hotel to celebrate his birthday. We were expecting quite a bit since it recently received an award for best resort from travel and leisure. All I can say is that It exceeded our expectations and more. At check-in, we were given a deluxe queen room downstairs but when I mentioned that I requested a room upstairs during booking, they immediately upgraded us to a superior king with fireplace. They had a chilled bottle of champagne for us along with the wine we got at check-in. The room was very luxurious and clean. During our stay, the staff was very attentive. They’re always asking us if we needed anything and helped us get reservations for dinner. The place was really quiet. We felt like we were the only guests there. One evening, we were the only ones using the pool and spa. My husband was kinda hungry before dinner one night and asked them if they had any snacks. They gave him some gourmet nuts , crackers and olive tapenade. Make sure you use their complimentary electronic bikes to roam around the beautiful trails. We will definitely be back to the north block hotel.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the North Block! The staff was amazing and were very attentive throughout our stay. We visited during COVID and the staff was very safe and cautious and we felt at ease because of their precautions. The hotel is within walking distance to Yountville restaurants and tastings. We enjoyed our Deluxe King room with an excellent patio where we ended up having dinner from Bouchon (currently the room service option for the hotel which is a huge perk).

Customer Service levels were high throughout the stay, from a room upgrade to wine pours, providing local information and recommendations, and going above and beyond to accommodate given restaurant closures and inclement weather....all much appreciated. The cleaning staff was also friendly and did a nice job keeping room and grounds very clean. It's a small, friendly team: (Rafael, Larry and Celina) did a very nice job making our holiday and stay memorable.
The hotel is intimate and there's a welcoming lobby with fire place, heat lamps outside as well as an outdoor fireplace and the hot tub and pool area are nice. The tubs in the bathrooms are deep and the bath salts provided are wonderful. However, the pool wasn't heated (under repair) and the gym room is small so not safe for more than 1-2 folks from same household. The daily resort fee ($35) didn't change though which was unfortunate given limited options.
It's a dog-friendly place ($150/dog) which clinches 5 stars overall.

The whole staff was simply wonderful and made our stay superb! But a special thanks to Carter for making our stay remarkable! Everything was so clean, and they went above and beyond to make it perfect. They did a great job with distancing compared to other hotels, as the rooms were through an outdoor courtyard with their own private access without common elevators or hallways. They had welcome wine, in room coffee and espresso, locally made exclusive bath products that are delightful and available for purchase! A fantastic getaway in Napa!
