Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The Estate Yountville is celebrated for its prime location in the heart of Yountville, making it a hit with travelers eager to explore local dining and wineries. Guests have called out the hotel's lavish amenities and welcoming atmosphere, often highlighted by complimentary snacks, wine tastings, and live music. However, reviews suggest the value proposition is contentious, with some deeming it overpriced. While cleanliness generally receives high marks, experiences with room quality and service vary, with noise issues and inconsistent housekeeping being points of contention for some visitors.

We stayed in a Vintage House Suite and spent an entire morning in their spa on one day receiving multiple services that were fantastic. The Spa staff were friendly and we had a great experience there and felt that the price was a reflection of the high level of service provided. Unfortunately there was a blackout on the final day of our 4 day stay and the Vintage house staff were completely unprepared for how to communicate with their guests. We spent that evening in complete darkness (other than a candle we had gotten somewhere else). It was freezing and there were no food or comfort options available or offered. We have stayed in highly rated properties during storms and unexpected weather issues in the past and never experienced the nonchalant attitude regarding the comfort of the guests. After we left we sent a letter requesting that final night be refunded and why we were requesting it, we did not get a response. I followed up by calling and confirming that the letter was received and was promised a response and that was never done either. It's clear that the management of this Estate does not focus on the service they provide and instead relies on the beauty and location of the property. We would definitely stay in Yountville again but not at this Estate. I'm including in this review the email letter I sent and they received that management refused to respond to. I would like to discuss the final day of our stay at The Vintage house. We were in room 813 and although we understand that you can not control the weather, we feel strongly we should be reimbursed for that night. We lost power before 2:00 PM and received no communication from anyone. We did not even know what was happening until we went to the lobby to inquire and were told “yes, the whole town is out”. That was it. When we asked for extra blankets and a light source as it was freezing in that room the head of housekeeping said they’d already put an extra blanket (it was a thin knit blanket that would not have been enough at all), I said we definitely need more than that. We asked for something more substantial and they did give us an additional bedspread. Thank goodness as it was very cold. They at first said they didn’t have a light source but eventually gave us a plug in small light that we were told would last about an hour. We went to a winery and bought a candle to provide us light for the night. We in no way were able to enjoy the room. Everyone was very nonchalant regarding offering any kind of assistance or communication. No one was rude but the attitude was clearly that they felt it just was not their problem. We do understand that the situation was out of your hands but we also paid for a very specifically marketed experience and not only was that not what we got on that last night but no one really cared either. For these reasons we feel we should receive a refund for that last evening. Thank you. Please forward this to whoever needs to see it and we’d appreciate a response. Warm Regards,

We understand how frustrating and disappointing it must have been for you, especially after enjoying our spa services and having a great start to the stay. If you have never been to Napa, mark this hotel as a must stay. Above and beyond staff, full breakfast, hot tub and pool open 24/7, snacks whenever you want (for free) what more could you ask for!? The grounds are beautiful, walking distance to everything in Yountville and overall just a wonderful property that I will def be coming back to stay in. Ask for a second floor room if you would like added privacy. I believe all rooms have balconies/patios.

The Estate Yountville was a great place to stay. The location was perfect to visit wineries and restaurants! The weather wasn’t too good in January but it didn’t stop us from having a wonderful time. I would highly recommend EY.

Hard to keep this one short and sweet because this place and the people who work there deserve so much more! My husband and I came as a staycation while we had family visiting to watch our son at home. It’s not common that we get time away to ourselves. We were looking forward to staying in Yountville as we had only visited one winery twice before, but never took advantage of the culinary and hospitality this sweet town offers. Upon arrival we were greeted with doors opened for us as well as snacks and hard apple cider. I have seen several reviewers state that the front desk staff was cold. I can see how someone might read them this way but that is not the case. They are professional, setting a standard and an experience of luxury. Why I know this will come during this review. During our first night we went out to experience some fine dining and came back to enjoy the amenities and comfort of our room. Around 11pm my husband noticed that the heat was not working. We had them come to our room to investigate. Our night was sleepless. We were only supposed to stay 2 nights and woke up feeling unrested and grumpy. We walked to the front desk and met Tye. Upon seeing we were dressed for Tahoe rather than Yountville, he immediately sent someone to our room to look further into the matter. After determining that the unit for the heat would not be reparable during our stay he kindly moved us into a different room and sent Marc Renspurger to help us with our bags. Upon entering our second room, we noticed the heat was still not working. The team determined this was going to be an issue with all the rooms that were being served with the heating unit. We called the front desk again, Marc returned and they moved us into another building. Normally, this would and could and should upset anyone. For us, we were disappointed but hopeful. Our third room was heated well and we were contacted by Rihanna the manager. She salvaged our entire trip by her kindness and generosity. We decided to stay an extra day because this team went above and beyond to make our stay and experience enjoyable. I would 100% recommend this hotel and would stay here again. It was nothing short of amazing hospitality. Members of the team we would love to recognize on here would be Rihanna the manager, Tye and Neilani at the front desk, Rodolfo during breakfast, Esther for the sweet gesture she brought to our room, and our guy Marc Renspurger ambassador of the hotel who went above and beyond for the duration of our stay to make sure we were taken care of. By the end of the stay they felt like family to us and we cannot wait to return again! This is a level of hospitality you rarely see these days and this team should be recognized as above and beyond, in a category of their own. Thank you guys for the most memorable stay we have ever had!

This resort came recommended from our credit card and also by another friend who stayed here in the past. So we assumed the property would be nice and the service would be good. But we didn’t know the service would be OUTSTANDING. We have stayed at auberge properties before, and the estate at yountville is on par with those. This place deserves a 5 diamond award. The estate at yountville pays attention to the details, and that does not go unnoticed! This property has my highest recommendation.

This property is advertised as a five-star resort. Overall, the location is nice as it is in Yountville, California. However, this hotel is far from a five-star experience. We initially booked our stay at the vintage House, but a few weeks before our stay we were notified that we would need to switch to the other property on site as the there was going to be construction at the place we were booked. We attempted to call back multiple times and were unsuccessful. Finally on our third or fourth call we did reach someone. She was very accommodating and did upgrade our room. She stated that we would be facing the Vineyard. When we arrived, we got a noisy room facing the highway. Quality was decent but was lacking in amenities you would commonly fined in a true five star property. The snack bar was a nice experience, however multiple items were expired in our basket. Unfortunately our mini fridge reeked of mold. On our third night, our room was only partially cleaned. The bed was made but all of the dirty towels were left in the room and none of our water or toiletries were restocked. The breakfast was very nice however the customer service in the lobby/bar/dining areas was mediocre at best. There were very few people monitoring the outdoor dining area and pool area to see if you needed to order any food items or drinks from the menu. We had a very nice experience at the spa due to the experienced and professional staff. I think this hotel could improve their overall experience by providing their young staff with more training in customer service.

Overall was a good stay. Wish the house keeping was more on point. Had to ask for house keeping on both days as it was 4 pm and room wasn’t serviced. At that point I just needed towels. I went to the unlocked linen closet to get my own at that point. The included breakfast is always nice. I wish there was an omelette station. They would make it amazing!! I think overall a lot of the service industry has a hard time finding workers so I get it. They did a great job with the food decor and other options. Staff was friendly and the ice latte was delicious. The NYE snacks and bubbly was a nice touch. Other hotels were charging some $300-$500 per head but this was all included. I’m sure you get what you paid for maybe. They had a DJ too which played some good 90’s Hip Hop! Will be back
