We stayed at the Villagio for two nights, and we won't be returning to this property. There were several issues during our stay, and while a few might have been Covid related, most were not. There didn't seem to be many people staying at the hotel, but for some reason, we were given a room at the far back side of the property. The road noise in those rooms that back to Highway 29 is terrible! Starting at about 6:00am it sounds like the Indy 500 out there. Another issue is the room design. The property has a very clean, modern aesthetic, but it's not comfortable at all. The shower has no ledge or bench to put anything on, so shampoo, body wash, etc. all has to be put on the floor and you need to bend down to get everything. There were no drawers to put anything in, and the "closet" was just an open rod in the room. The couch and chair backs are very low which does not work for most people. The room had plantation shutters/wood blinds which look nice, but it was impossible to block out the bright light coming from outside the room so it was never dark in there. We were exhausted from not being able to sleep during our stay. On our first day there, the pool area seemed to be taken over by several groups of young people who claimed they were allowed to use the space as part of some promotion with the hotel. They took all of the shaded seating, so we had to sit in the sun. On our second night there, we went to cut through the lobby area to walk to dinner, and we were shocked to discover that the lobby/bar area was locked with a sign saying that if we needed anything, we should call or walk down to their sister property a few blocks down the road. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that it's within walking distance of some great restaurants. Other than that, I would give it zero stars if I could. We payed an obscene amount of money for a very subpar experience.…
This property exceeded our expectations, perfectly located in Yountville - you can walk everywhere. It is beautifully landscaped and tranquil. Loved it and highly recommend it for a Napa Valley vacation.
The Villagio is a perfect location and property for a relaxing stay in the Napa valley. Close to great wineries, but not in the middle of the downtown Napa bustle. Great experience!! We would definitely stay again. When making reservations be sure to request a 2nd floor room--the hotel is only two stories.
I recently stayed at the Villagio expecting the high end service the hotel advertises itself as. It was far from it. We were neglected any sort of service what so ever. There was no time that we were told that the hotel would shut down and lock its doors to the lobby, pool service and any other sort of service. After 11am, the doors were locked and we had to literally fend for ourselves. Why??? Never told. Not the high end experience we expected. If you are not staffed, don’t open. Plain and simple.
Didn’t think I’d be getting a Costco experience for the price. The pool was clean and adequately heated. The room was nice. The location is what you pay for. The staffing levels were low and comparable to a low grade hotel or family-run BnB. The bar was rarely open for even a glass of water. The front desk was closed half the time. It was odd and given we stayed there after June 15, 2021, no excuse to blame COVID-19. We stayed on the west side of the property so you could constantly hear the roar of highway 29. I suppose that is the nature of the beast and I knew that going in, so I didn’t downgrade for that. However, I failed to see the value overall.
