We just spent 3 nights at the Hotel Villagio to celebrate our anniversary. Overall we had a very nice experience. We stayed at the hotel about 10 years ago and it has been completely renovated since our last visit. The lobby and rooms are much more modern than they were previously. The location in Yountville is perfect…easy walking distance to lots of restaurants and close to many great vineyards in the Napa Valley. We relaxed by the pool later in the day after wine tasting and found it very relaxing. The free buffet breakfast was lovely and we always found the service to be pleasant and helpful. A few small criticisms. 1) The fitness center is tiny ( especially for the size of the hotel) and not very well equipped. There are only 3 Pelotons and 1 elliptical machine, so it isn’t ideal for people to work out as much as we do. 2) They offer valet parking but it is often short staffed. We quickly learned it was faster to just self park. 3) for some odd reason the lights in the bathroom turn off very quickly automatically. Every day we each would be left in the dark while taking a shower 4) I had a very nice massage in the spa during my stay but some of the amenities weren’t working fully ( such as the jacuzzi…it was freezing cold). That said, I would still stay here again.…
It’s been some time since I stayed here. I wish I’d read recent reviews before returning. We booked a junior suite and one of air conditioners was broken, it was 90+ degrees during our stay and too warm in our room. There were lots of other issues for the price. The lobby seems understaffed and we got tired of waiting for someone to help us with out bags upon check in, so my husband carried our bags from the car to our room. There was only one person at the front desk and we called to report our AC issue before we went to dinner and when we returned no one had come to check on it and it turns out it was not fixable. For $1800 a night the hotel should be better kept- the furniture in the common areas by the pool is shabby, as are some pieces of furniture in the room for that matter. I would stay somewhere else next time, especially considering how over priced this place is for the value.…
The room was nice and quite large but the service wasn’t very good, especially for the price. Everyone was nice and polite but we had a list of issues: we requested a crib before and it wasn’t there when we arrived. It took over an hour for them to bring one (fortunately it wasn’t nap time or we would have been more annoyed), there was no hand soap in the bathroom, the pool wasn’t heated and the hot tub was out of order, we ordered room service breakfast and the eggs were cold and they forgot to bring butter, jam, salt & pepper (the menu specifically mentioned homemade jam as part of one item we ordered).
No one came to clean our room and when we asked no one showed up. A lack of caring or being empathetic to the needs of the customer was lacking at the front desk and as well as the operator on the phone. Concierge was great as was the boys and girls behind bathe bar were also great.
Rooms were large and luxurious. Bed was on firmer side so some may not like that. I was on the first floor so french doors opened to a small courtyard with a setee and lemon tree with actual lemons growing on it. Nightly turn down service. Water feature along the walkways was very soothing. Front desk was very friendly, accomodating and efficient. There is a small bar in the lobby that serves breakfast buffet offering every morning and limited food dturing day. There is no formal restaurant at Villagio but several options adjacent to the property. Nice fire pit at night outside the bar area / pool area. Pool / hot tub were adequate but nothing special. Overall it was a nice stay and excellent for a corporate event Event spaces were excellent and close walk from rooms.…
Our room was missing several things, do not disturb sign, matches for the fireplace etc. Noise is terrible, cars driving by, water running from neighbor rooms, sound proof is really bad, didn’t sleep well both nights. Someone knocked on the door the day we were checking out and asked when we were going to leave, it was a little over an hour before checkout time. On the flip side, bathroom was very modern and had really large soak tub. Pool area was really nice. Room service food was really good and also had good breakfast.
We stayed for 3 nights in April with another couple. The service was lovely, warm and welcoming. The valet and front desk staff cam to know us by name. There is a pool menu which includes plenty of wine selections, plus snacks from potato chips and caviar to grilled cheese. The daily breakfast has bottomless mimosas, pastries from Bouchon, hot items, plus tons of other options. We ate at all the Thomas Keller restaurants and the location was perfect. They also have little golf carts if you need a ride!
Went out of their way to make us happy. Initially, when we first checked in, there was a mix up in the room accommodations. Jada B. and Jessica B. (the front desk agent) went out of their way to ensure we were happy with our room and gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate as well. So sending a big thank you and our appreciation. Everyone we met that worked at the hotel was friendly and wished us well. They will definitely see us again!
I came to Hotel Villagio on business for a Presidents Club celebration. The location of this hotel and the grounds themselves are absolutely stunning. From the moment we arrived to the moment I left, the staff were nothing but friendly and attentive. I very much enjoyed my stay here and hope one day I can return.
It is really overrated place. At the first night a drunken man tried to open our patio door shaking it really hard. It says the pool is heated but not really. The jacuzzi water was so cold, couldn't use it. It was a horrible experience with my family. Will never come back here.
