Beautiful place by the lake in the middle of Tucholski Forest. Wonderful family break to celebrate my mum’s 70th birthday; an unexpected sparkling wine welcome and birthday wishes. We had an apartment with breakfast but early dinner buffet is available. For those who prefer restaurant, that’s the place to be. Traditional but refined Polish dishes served by formidable Magda two nights in the row. I will definitely come back here not only for the fresh air, organic food, superb service but also rejuvenating treatments and good night sleep.
We had an integration Party there. The location close to the lake is very good, the rooms are very clean and big. All the facilities you need are at the room. Very helpful girls are at the reception and of course great spa, where we can relax after a long day. High qualified service at the evening party, tasty food. Breakfast and dinner was super with a great variety of food. One minus, which I can write is that hotel is very far from the nearest city and the road to get to the hotel isn't in a good quality!! But anyway, i wish I could come again.
Such a beautiful hotel in a nice quiet surroundings. The rooms are specious, clean and comfortable. We were just unlucky as all staff were highly focused on large group( company away day), therefore we felt like unwanted guests. We couldn't access all facilities, services at the restaurant and spa was limited. Spa is way too small for the amount of guests. We definitely haven't enjoyed our stay over there.
Attending family wedding with international guests, wonderful location, food choice, spa, bowling alley, lake boating activities, spacious room sizes all added up to a high-quality Hotel Resort!! Would recommend this resort for any future conference location!!
Very well located hotel in a quiet area by the lake and forest. Nice and comfortable rooms. Excellent food, variety of dishes to choose. Maybe not a good choice for the active - small hotel swimming pool, some bikes for rent. I'm not sure you can swim in the lake, but you can rent a boat etc. There is also spa facility - a little bit expensive. Still, I would recommend the hotel.
Spent three days here at a family wedding. Picturesque location with lovely wooded walks. Pleasant dining room with excellent breakfast menu. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms modern and well equipped. Staff most helpful in spite of my lack of the Polish language. Would love to visit again.
I would love to give this hotel 4 stars but this equates to very good and I don't think it was quite there for us yet a 3 star average rating is too mean as there is nothing average about this hotel! This is a truly beautiful hotel in a lovely setting but we visited the property just after it's opening in August 2015 and unfortunately neither the hotel nor the staff were up to full operational standard. Most of the staff were lacking in training and didn't really seem to have a clue what they were doing and there was still a lot of maintenance, painting and decorating going on. Certain areas of the hotel were lacking in furnishings as well so there were huge terraces with just a few randomly placed chairs and hammocks and the restaurant was only half furnished in a really haphazard manner. The hotel setting, although lovely, is very remote, pretty much in the middle of nowhere and the access road to the hotel is down a very long, narrow cobbled road which has no night lights. We arrived an a Saturday afternoon and on arrival into the hotel grounds it was apparent there was a Wedding event taking place and we were diverted by security men to an overflow car park a considerable distance away from the hotel meaning we had to walk this distance back to the hotel with 2 children and all of our luggage. Once we found the hotel entrance we discovered the whole reception area was full of wedding guests who were blocking access to the reception desk that was hidden in the corner. We had noticed on our way walking to the reception that there were various car parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the hotel building so we asked the receptionist if it was possible to move our car from the overflow car park to make it easier to transfer all of our belongings from the car to our room and she said that there was no problem with that and we could park in one of the spaces directly outside our room for the duration of our stay. When we moved our car to the space that we had been advised we could use the two security men from the car park immediately came over to tell us that we were not permitted to park there. We tried explaining that the receptionist had said it was okay but they could not understand any English or German and started to get very rude to the point of shouting abuse at us and gesturing their arms around in an aggressive manner in front of our children. While researching this particular hotel we had heard many great things about the food so were very much looking forward to trying out the restaurant. This wasn't possible however because the restaurant had been taken over by the wedding party so was not available for hotel guests to use. We were advised that we were welcome to dine in the bar downstairs but found the remnants of what appeared to be a social club BBQ buffet. We politely declined so had to find alternative eating arrangements which involved a half hour drive to a bigger town where we luckily found a great restaurant. On return back to the hotel later that evening we had a repeat of the earlier parking incident with the security men who once again harassed us for not parking in the overflow car park. Tempers were flaring so we immediately went to reception and asked to speak to the Manager. We explained that we had only just arrived and were not feeling at all welcome and 2nd class citizens to the wedding party not being able to park our car or use the restaurant. He was very apologetic and explained that the wedding party were VIP as they were very close acquaintances to the owners of the hotel but assured us that the rest of our stay would be enjoyable and offered us a better room, a complimentary meal in the restaurant the following evening and a boat trip for the children. We actually declined the offer to move rooms as although the rooms in the main building have all had upgrades and are tastefully decorated in a modern style with air con we actually preferred the family suite which we were in which was located in a separate guest house. We found this to be much more quaint and cosy and it had it's own little terrace which was great for the children. We did however come back to our room after breakfast one day to find a young couple lounging on our patio furniture with their feet resting on the table. They seemed to believe that the terrace was for everyone's use and didn't like it very much when we asked them to move so maybe it would be of benefit to fence off the terrace slightly to make it more obviously private. The complimentary meal was our first and last evening meal in the hotel as it just did not live up to expectations. When we arrived there was no a la carte choice, only a buffet. The buffet tables were set up in the middle of the room with a multitude of extension cables trailing across the floor to power the chafer dished and despite all of these cables the food although well cooked and tasty was cold because they had a fault with the electrics. This electrical problem in turn meant that the planned evening entertainment of bowling couldn't happen because the electrical problem was also in the basement where the bowling alley is located. Luckily the bowling problem was sorted in time for our last evening and the manager very kindly let us have a free game of bowling to test it out before it was re-opened. The bowling alley looked amazing and the children really enjoyed it. The private beach that is advertised is open to interpretation really as it is a very small sandy area with a couple of benches and a few paddle boats. Not really the sort of place you would want to spend the day sun bathing so we tended to drive to one of the local beaches which were fantastic, safe and much more fun for the children. The swimming pool and spa facilities were very nice.…
Excellent place to stay. Near the lake - very beautifully located. Still needs some sort of nearby organisation of the land but the whole concept and buildings are very pretty. Staff a bit inexperienced but very nice and pleasant so they will catch up. Quiet and the rooms very very pretty and comfortable. Worth recommendinge
I loved the amorphere and the area while staying. I wish staff was more informed. For 4 stars I expect more than "I wasn't told anything like that, I don't know" when we needed to swich rooms (because they sold for two nights, but had only for one night). Other than that, the place is awesome!
Beautifully located in the quiet part of Poland, just at the border of the Kashubia. It offers silence and the most beautiful landscapes. You can simply walk into a forest and start picking up local mushrooms or forest berries; or you may hire a canoe and explore the shores of the adjacent lake (with romantic islet in the middle) and the Brda river. There is a site for bird-watching, including Phalocrocorax carbo sinensis… and if you eventually get bored (or tiered) of the nature, go and relax in the spa. All at affordable price, all fresher furnished; everybody helpful and smiling. The hotel restaurant offers local and European food – good taste for money; even a bottle of vine is surprisingly affordable. Definitely worth the effort of getting there!
