A wonderful place to appreciatethe southern Sequoia Forest. The view from the veranda outside my room of the mountains and peaks surrounding the Kern valley is priceless and the room is spotless and comfortable. This is just what I needed to unwind after a six day business trip.

My wife and I stayed in room 1 at the last minute. The room was clean, comfortable and warm on a cold night. It was $85 for a Saturday night, with a Auto Club discount. The room was well insulated so there was virtually no outside noise. A good queen size bed so we got a good nights sleep. Overall,... More

My husband and I stayed on a Friday and Saturday night. Room 5, a queen room. This location only has 10 rooms. The room was clean, spacious, well kept. There was a microwave, mini fridge, Dish TV on a flat panel television, a mini coffee maker, flavored creamers, complimentary popcorn and water. We were very happy with our stay. We... More

We decided to divert through this area based on a guidebook that was a few years' old. Since it was written, the lake has pretty much dried up which has made it a bit pointless coming here. On the plus side, the room is nice in a retro way and this seems to be a pretty little town. People are... More

The man in the office was very friendly. He offered us a free upgrade to accommodate 3 in our party, offering a room with 2 queen beds, instead of 2 twin beds. Room was very clean, and well maintained.

A nice place to stay while in the Lake Isabella area. We made the mistake once of staying at the Isabella motel, that was a dump. This property seems very well cared for and has friendly staff. The rooms are well maintained and the staff is very friendly. One word of caution. The office closes at 9:00 PM, so no... More

I highly recommend this house. It was considerably nicer than I had assumed. Plenty of room for 10 men. The kitchen is spacious and is more than fully stocked to host a large party. The double pot coffee maker was an especially nice touch. The back deck has great views of the valley. We were there Oct. of 2013. The... More

When you charge $100 a night for a very basic room, you should at least spring for a big air conditioner. The room air conditioner was too small to do battle with 104 degree heat. We walked into a concrete-based, wood-roofed hot box next to a big mud pit. They're on the dry end of the lake in mid-summer. The... More

Michael is awesome. Stayed in the office late to check us in even though we arrived later than planned. Nice bath amenities, complimentary bottle water in the refrigerator as well as popcorn. We stayed two nights. Very quiet and peaceful with view of the lake. Room was very clean as well as the grounds. We had our little four pound... More

Cute, clean and charming, great for the price. We stayed 2 nights and even my husband commented on the design of the room being nice with the beams overhead and arched doorway to the bathroom. Cute dried flower wreath. Good bed. Popcorn to use with the microwave and a good little fridge for cocktails at the end of the day.... More
